Dishonest. Contradictory. Breaching confidentiallity. Unprofessional. No integrity.
QBE client totalled the back end of my car with motorcycle, and made a claim, great! all sorted, right, WRONG! A month later I’m still chasing QBE to pay out claim settlement release. I’ve been lied to, and have been told contradictory information from staff. I’ve had other QBE clients policy information emailed to me (breach of confidentially) It’s a pretty straightforward claim of $2800 in damages to my vehicle which they have agreed to pay as per claim settlement release form, but having the money put into my bank account is another story. Just keep on getting stuffed around by them. Now after making a complaint through their complaints department I’m thinking they I’ll have to go through the AFCA Ombudsman to retrieve the money owed. If you want sleepless nights and a headache, then I would recommend QBE insurance, however if your after peace of mind, then you probably should find another insurance company.
NOOOOOoooo!!!
NOOOOOoooo!!!! Took out a year's insurance public liability - quoted $450, signed contract and even though I picked direct debit, found that direct debit is a LOAN. Now I owe them an extra $150 over the year even for DD!!. Consumer affairs can't help - say it's a legal matter. Talking to ACCC. In meantime posting my experience with colleagues on social media.
Never again

QBE travel Insurance is a waste of money
QBE travel Insurance is a waste of time, phone lines constantly engaged , 5 emails sent with no reply.
I will be contacting financial ombudsman uk on my return to UK and will never use QBE travel insurance ever again
Don’t bother!!
Don’t bother!!! Pick another insurer! I booked economy on qantas.. as business class full. I purchased qbe insurance as visiting very sick relative and not sure if would make the flight! As it was my 13 yr old son picked up a nasty virus and was very sick so dr told us not to fly... no flight availability to our destination with qantas so had to cancel and book on virgin aus. When I went to claim it was extremely difficult! Want proof from qantas ( themselves that flight not refundable or changeable!) Drs report! I already sent it but they wanted full doc report of all symptoms presented!! Cost me 30 bucks! Waste of time! Will never book qantas or use their insurance again! .. still waiting for payout 6 weeks later!

I broke my back at work because the stairs gave way & I fell down 9 1/2 feet of stairs on my back landed down the bottom of the stairs with a complete broken back on the 20/12/1994,
Then I was on QBE workers compensation during my journey with QBE for 23Years &
QBE are the most disgusting organisation that I had to deal with & What they've done to me mentally physically emotionally "Ruined" my life "Ruined" my marriage.
This is one of the stories of many I could tell QBE sent me to a pain management program at Belmont Private Hospital in Brisbane for a 4 week pain management course during my 8 days stay I witnessed 3 people committing suicide and why that was I was supposed to be there for pain management not to be in a psychiatric ward with other psychiatric patients it was a pain management program not only myself but other people in the pain management program had to get out of there straight away that was in 1997 and I still have nightmares to this day about those three people committing suicide in front of my face.
I also was treated like a criminal from QBE even though at this stage I had many many operations all over my body during this time it didn't matter what I asked for to help with my quality of life QBE never supported me at all I felt so lost I didn't know what to do many a time I tried to commit suicide because I was sick of QBE'S B*llshit lies & corruption that goes on just to save money so their employees can go on a holiday and get bonuses.
I have many more stories to tell but it would be too long for me to be riding all this down one day I will certainly write a book but I urge everybody do not have nothing to do with QBE for nothing go to another company
We have a combined insurance policy …
We have a combined insurance policy with QBE covering public liability and contents and business interruption on our business. in July 2016 we had a fire and the whole business was burnt down. After 4 months we relocated and started purchasing new equipment to get the business back to normality. At all times their loss adjuster was slow to react and issue any payments. Fortunately we had a good balance and funded most of it ourselves as we waited for the claim to be dealt with. 15 months on despite issuing all of the required paperwork receipts etc we are still to get any business interruption payments under the policy equating to over 80K. As I said we we had a good balance sheet but as a word of caution to anyone looking for business insurance i would recommend you steer clear of QBE if you want to maintain your business level whilst you tackle the trauma of a business loss.
