QR Codes Become Unreadable After a Free Trial Period
Used the site to create a QR code for a baby shower registry for handmade invitations. The QR code went into 25 invites and I received an email saying my free trial was ending and my code would no longer work. I ultimately ended up using a different site that creates codes that are free and don’t expire. Very disappointed by this experience.

QR Codes stop working without a subscription!
Just printed £120 of leaflets! I would rather get the lot reprinted than pay these scammers a penny!!!!

Brilliant and helpful service
Brilliant and helpful service, easy to use for a novice like myself!
Do not use thisRefusing to honour UK statutory rights and withholding evidence - Ticket #97510959 service
Do not use this service. I requested a cancellation and refund within the UK statutory 14-day cooling-off period. Customer support is completely refusing to issue a refund, hiding behind unfair contract terms that violate the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
When I disputed their claim that the account was "actively used," they flatly refused to provide my account activity logs or any proof of usage. In their latest reply, they changed their story, claiming that simply making the service "available" means they can keep my money even though their services were not used.
This is a shocking and deceptive business practice. I am waiting for a senior manager to review Ticket #97510959 and issue the refund I am legally entitled to. I will update this review if they resolve it, but until then, avoid this company.
I was able to make a QR code so fast…
I was able to make a QR code so fast and free. It turned out SOO cute! I loved that I could chose quite a few of the design aspects that reflect who I am.
They are scammers!!
They are scammers!!! They say the QR code is free, and they start charging you!!! Avoid them at any cost. There are tons of legit services which are free.

It was incredibly easy to make a QR code for a class assignment! I really like how there are options and not just one image of the QR Code. I highly recommend.
Great website

RIPPED OFF
Ripped me off with a qr code I made once and got printed. I tried to purchase the individual qr code but they wouldn't allow anything but to do there subscription which is paid annually.
Worst service, trying to contact them multiple times to be reasonable but didn't hear back for days every time I contacted.

memory drive
I wanted to make a qr code for a google drive for my parents as a place they could go for all of their child's kindergarten memories. You made this so easy. Thank you!

Subscription is annual, not monthly, even though price per month is in a big, bold font and "Billed annually" in a small, shadowy font. Terms and conditions: All sales are final. It looks like EU/UK regulations might give you an out...but I'm in the U.S.
I needed a qrcode for a simple, private use, needed for less than a month. Now I have a 12-month service I do not need. I wish I had realized I could have created the code with my browser.
EDIT: Saw qrcodecreator response. Nope, sorry, I've already spent too much time with you "reviewing my specific case." Fellow consumers, if you want to create a quick qrcode with this company, forget it. You must read their "Terms and Conditions" first (eye-roll) or you will get burned, stuck paying for a year's subscription you don't want.

Deceptive service
Deceptive service — avoid before printing anything.
I used QR code creator to generate a QR code for my research poster at an international scientific conference. At no point during the process was it made clear that the QR code does not link directly to my URL, but instead routes through their own servers — meaning they can deactivate it at any time.
Once the free trial was about to expire, I received a request to subscribe to keep the QR code active. The only available option is an annual plan, which makes absolutely no sense for a one-time academic use. I contacted their support explaining my situation as a PhD student presenting at a conference, asking for either a short-term plan or a simple trial extension of a few days. Their response was a copy-paste refusal.
The poster is already printed and cannot be changed. The QR code will be dead on the day I present my work, in front of an international audience.
This is a textbook dark pattern: offer something that appears free, let people commit to printed materials, then demand payment. There is no transparency during QR code creation, and zero flexibility or goodwill toward users in legitimate, clearly documented situations.
I would have gladly paid for a weekly or monthly plan. Instead, I'll make sure every colleague and researcher I know avoids this service.
