I have used this app which auto directs u to your bank, authorised a transaction which completed with my bank and the money went out but has never appeared in my trading account. My bank say I need their sort account number to process a refund to me but this does not appear on my bank transaction details. I have contacted them and had no response. Can anyone assist?

Generally straightforward and prompt in dealing with queries. Not cheap, but for dabbling a few quid in experimental markets it's a fun hobby. If you have thousands to invest I'd say you need to take advice.

Just for your information our fees are one of the lowest on the market: the fees for our standard account consist of a £1 Wombat fee that's charged and billed monthly and a 0.10% platform fee that's charged annually but billed monthly and there is no account fee for an Instant GIA. Each individual trade is subject to a 0.65% Foreign Exchange (FX) fee.

Huge fees
They are stealing the people.
1£ monthly fee plus other fees. And they don't even inform their customers. Because I didn't have enough available cash they started to sell from my assets in order to take the fee.
I definitely don't recommend.

Our standard account fees are clearly stated on the account selection screen, within the Fees and Charges section of the app, within our terms and conditions, and on our website's pricing page (found here for reference: https://www.wombatinvest.com/pricing). The £1 account fee and 0.10% platform fee allow us to bring great features to the accounts, such as ETFs, round ups and auto-investments.
We still offer one of the cheapest ISAs on the market at the moment, despite the fees associated with our standard accounts.
We do provide an Instant GIA account with no account or platform fees which may be more to your liking however, this account type only provides access to individual US shares at this moment and each trade is subject to a 0.65% FX fee.

Too slow for a modern app. From the transferring of funds to email response times
I have emailed wombat twice but received no response. One each to both the 'support' and 'info' email addresses given at various points in the app. I'm trying to close my account but I have heard nothing. I also wasn't able to bank transfer from my bank to start investing at all. It just lingered in 'pending' and was then returned a few days later. I hope I am not charged my fee for something I cannot use and they have been too slow to close.
Edit after response: issues now resolved and within a day, so that is great - long may that customer service continue!
I would point out that although, yes you did reply within 17 minutes, it was within 17 minutes of a chase email sent after emailing 6 days ago.

My original review was for Wombat Investments not NuWealth which I have since left.
Received my £20 sign up offer within one working day, have investments in Normal and Instant account types, both have pros and cons but this is clearly explained if you actually read the guides they publish.
I have a spread some investment across funds and stocks in General account type for a low monthly fee. No problems so far. (£250).
I also have some stocks in Instant account type which has more stocks to pick from, transactions are quick once market opens. Also no problems (£1,175).
App is easy to use and works, it does need to be more refined but I have fed this back, customer service are fast to reply with knowledgeable information.
If any of the above or withdrawing becomes an issue, I will update my review.

Invested £100 so far just as a feeler into these apps. Split the £100 into 4 investments randomly. All 4 appear to have lost money. So doesn't at this time seem a good investment app. Add in a charge and its a lose lose. So I think wombat needs to up its investment game. Sorry but its my honest opinion

Hi Nigel. At Wombat, we only provide access to the stock market. We cannot control or predict stock performance.
At any time, you can google the name of your investment, e.g. Tesla, and search "why is Tesla down", or even "why is the market down" if none of your investments are doing well, and you will be able to find a variety of resources explaining the current decline of the market or stock, which is affecting everyone, regardless of the platform they use. The stock market is all about ups and downs, sometimes there are up periods, sometimes there are down periods. Unfortunately, we have no control over this, and just provide access to the market. Our fees consist of a £1 Wombat fee that's charged and billed monthly and a 0.10% platform fee that's charged annually but billed monthly, if you compare these with the fees for other platforms you will see that we charge some of the lowest fees of any investment platform.

Theyre absolutely bs, they tell you they'll give you £20 for joining, but you're completely unable to draw it out, even after using it in investments and then selling them after, theyre a complete scam...
