Item damaged due to packaging
When the basket arrived it was so squished into the box that’s it’s really damaged the shape. Also the handle wasn’t the same colour of the pictures online. Shocked at how poor this was packaged to say it’s a handmade item.

Hello, I am so sorry to hear of your disappointment.
However, I am afraid the packaging wouldn't have had anything to do with the shape of the basket.
As stated on the tag of the product and on the product description online, the basket you ordered is a handmade bolga basket from Africa, these come direct from the makers and are sent misshapen to reduce the space taken up on shipping from Africa. They will also vary from the photograph due to the handmade nature and materials available to the artisan. But don't fret, you can reshape it easily, the instructions are on the product listing and on the tag attached to the bag.
Here is the detail from the product page and the tag attached to bag:
Materials: elephant grass, leather *may have slight variations in design and size as this is a one-of-a-kind handmade product.
Care: easily reshape your basket by lightly spraying with water, press into shape by hand, then let dry
Your basket just needs a quick spray with water to soften the natural reeds then you can reshape.
Had you let us know of your disappointment and concern, before leaving review we could have passed on this information to save leaving such a poor review on a small business page.

Fabulous shop

Quince & Cook is a jewel in Perth’s town centre. I can’t recommend it highly enough for interesting gifts for all age groups or for treating yourself or your home to something beautiful. I love that the stock is always so refreshed making each visit interesting and that there is always something unexpected such as occasional fresh flowers or potted plants, you never know what to fully expect until you pop in. I feel valued as a customer every time I shop at Q&C, staff are relaxed and friendly and glad you have stopped in whether you buy something or not (but you will!).
