Easy to access training times but a bit confusing when I wanted 1st class seats.

Seats not together_traveling with youth

Traveling with youth and none of the tickets are together. Same coach but not even seated next to each other as requested

While I appreciate the reply and your offer that members are standing by to assist I will add that i immediately write an email to customer service representatives to request assistance and have yet to hear back. The FAQ indicated that we could change seats but that bus not an option without paying an upgrade. Very disappointed. I should have gone with trainline who shows sears when booking.

We would like to clarify that seat allocation is managed directly by the rail carrier’s reservation system. While seating preferences may be submitted during the booking process where available, adjacent seating cannot always be guaranteed, as final seat assignments depend on real-time availability at the time the reservation is confirmed.

In some cases, passengers may be placed in the same coach but not necessarily in adjacent seats, even when travelling on the same booking or in the same group. This is due to the way seats are allocated by the carrier’s system based on remaining availability.

I wasn't able to make seat reservations…

I wasn't able to make seat reservations for segments where I did not require a ticket as I held a eurailpass.
The system didn't inform me and I had to go to other sites to complete my reservation for the other segments.

We would like to clarify that for the segments in question, seat reservations were not mandatory. As a result, our system displayed information indicating that a reservation was not required for travel on those services.

For some rail carriers, the option to purchase optional seat reservations on services where reservations are not mandatory is not made available to distributors such as Rail Europe. In these cases, while we can inform customers that a reservation is not required, we are unfortunately unable to offer a reservation option through our platform because the functionality has not been provided by the rail carrier's reservation system.

As a distributor, we rely on the booking and reservation capabilities made available by the rail operators themselves and are unable to offer services that have not been made accessible to us.

We understand this may have been disappointing, particularly when you wished to reserve seats in advance, and we hope this helps clarify why you needed to use an alternative channel for those reservations.

Finding schedule options was easy

Finding schedule options was easy, ticket options were pretty clear. The only difficulty was that I am in a group with 11 people. Reservation max is 10 people. So in making two different reservations, I could not get my whole group together in the same car nor on the same coach of the bus. 😳

We are sorry to hear about the difficulties you encountered when booking for a group of 11 travellers. Our online booking platform currently supports a maximum of 9 passengers per booking. For groups of 10 or more travellers, we have a dedicated Group Booking Team that can assist with these requests and help identify the most suitable options available.

As your group exceeded the maximum number of passengers permitted in a single online booking, separate reservations were required. Unfortunately, when bookings are made separately, we are unable to guarantee that all passengers will be seated together, as seat assignments are generated independently by the carrier's reservation system for each booking.

We understand how important it is for larger groups to travel together and recognize that being assigned to different coaches was disappointing.
