Real relationships, both with the farms and our customers, are essential to Rare Tea. This is what we believe defines direct trade.
We focus on quality, sampling the finest and only selecting the best: our range is small but carefully chosen, seeking out tea-gardens and farmers crafting the most delicious leaves. We are extremely lucky and proud to work with unique farms producing extraordinary tea.
Some of our tea is very rare, with only a few kilos produced each year. Others can be grown on a larger scale. All of our tea is crafted by skilled men and women on independent farms, not industrially processed by large agribusinesses. We buy harvests from farmers, not a commodity from brokers.

The Rare Earl Grey is exceptional in its intricate flavours. This is hands down the most sublime tea I have ever devoured. The Rare Hibiscus Flowers has the most exquisite colour and intensity, I drink it unsweetened but that does leave a slightly bitter aftertaste - I just adore it. The level of service from the Rare Tea Company was flawless and impeccable. Thank you!!!

Disappointing
I was very excited to get this tea after trying it last year. Unfortunately I couldn’t taste the bergamot at all. I believe I was sent old tea because I tried steeping 3 minutes and sometimes even more in the hope that I would be able to enjoy my earl grey tea. Really disappointed

Finding my green tea
Love the tie guan yin.. it was actually given as a gift together with a teapot. So when i finally finished all 3 tins... i chose the it and searched for your website. Soothe Me is drink i drink at night and the toasted matcha is beautiful as well.

Amazing company and amazing customer service. The tea isn't cheap at all, but it is so worth it if you love tea! Every cup becomes a little treat. I had some questions and the response was quick and very kind. Highly recommend this company, my mother and I will order a lot more in the future!
