While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Redbyte software scam:

Redbyte software scam:

Do not trust this company - they scam and defraud people. We are their latest victims. Their Scam ‘model’ is as follows. They only target customer who are new to the world of software development.

Redbyte make intentional misrepresentations about what work they can do for what seems to be really ‘cheap’ costs. They makes these misrepresentations to get customers to enter into contracts with them. They make all these promises both in writing and verbally.

I was careful enough to put everything in a written contract (including a list of all the features we want included), but with this company a contract is not worth the paper it’s written in because they just don’t care! They set up the project so that the features of the app are divided into different milestones (ours had 4 milestones) with payment due at the end of each milestones with an initial large deposit (we are talking thousands of GB pounds). We paid them the deposit, a truly great project manager was assigned and work commenced well until milestone 2. We paid them thousands of pounds at the end of each milestones. After than the project manager was removed and everything went downhill from there. Milestones 3 went completely south. We have been trying to resolve matters since August 2022 to no avail. They continue to argue that items included in the written agreement are ‘additional work’. We have finally decided to terminate our contract on grounds of breach of contract.

The CEO of Redbyte (a man called Sameer) is the biggest liar I have ever met. He has zero Integrity. For example last Friday in a WhatsApp message (I have saved all evidence including screenshots) he said he would give us the source codes for milestones 1 and 2 of the app as we have paid for it. Today he declined it completely. He said a feature of our app (tagging friends on a forum) would take 450 hours extra to build and he demanded more money for it (this was a feature we requested in writing before the contract was signed! Which of course he totally denies now despite email evidence. If he denied before we signed the contract he knew we would have taken our business elsewhere because the forum is a key part of our app). I spoke to a different developer today as I am considering calling them as an independent expert witness if we take legal action against Redbyte. Guess what this independent developer laughed and said this feature takes about 5 lines of coding and about 10 minutes to do it. More lies from Redbyte CEO - no surprise!

We were originally considering taking a civil action against this man however we’ve now received some advise that there is a stronger case of criminal fraud against him - and even though we have now lost thousands of pounds we want to ensure this man NEVER defrauds another person again.
