Reedsy Reviews

I have had an extremely great customer experience with Reedsy. As an Indie writer, it is quite comforting, to have a professional book editor on your side. Thank you

Great manuscript editing, cover design, and formatting. The copy and proof editor made some mistakes so I'd change that in the future.

My experience so far with reedsy has been great. I like that when you copy and paste something into reedsy it gives it a great format that makes it look professional. Its so easy to use and super user friendly as well. and the best part is there is tons of features that are free.

Working with Amanda has been such a wonderful experience. She has been exceptionally patient throughout the entire process and has an incredible ability to understand and capture my vision.

As a first-time author, creating this book has been a long journey with lots of details and revisions along the way, but Amanda made the illustration process feel seamless and genuinely enjoyable. She is incredibly talented, a great communicator, responsive, and so easy to work with.

I’m truly grateful for the care and creativity she brought to my book, and I couldn’t be happier with how the illustrations turned out. I highly recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a talented illustrator who is patient, collaborative, and committed to bringing your vision to life.

This is the most brilliant book writing platform ever. I cannot recommend it more I find it so easy to use and the layout is brilliant. I will be using this for all my books in the future.

Reedsy is the ultimate platform to write your first book. You can set a goal - both in terms of total amount of words and by which date you need to have it completed - and it automatically calculates how many words you'll need to write in a day. It's easy to divide sections into individual chapters - keeping everything nice and organised. There are also different features for fonts, etc etc. TOTS recommend!!

I attempted to upload a clean, standard 7MB .docx manuscript file to Reedsy Studio using Google Chrome. The file completely failed to upload multiple times. I went through extensive troubleshooting, including clearing background extensions via Chrome's Incognito mode and saving fresh versions of the file to rule out basic user errors. Reedsy's backend server scripts silently rejected the file with no feedback or error explanation. Relying on an aggressive importer that chokes on standard Microsoft Word formatting makes the platform incredibly frustrating for authors trying to work with full-length manuscripts.

Reedsy is a great site for laying out a book, formatting it and getting it prepared to go to market. It's simple and intuitive, asks all the right questions and makes certain that nothing is left out when preparing the book. It also let's you export the files in a couple of different formats.

What made my experience great was that you can write and publish your own books. And because each book gives you chapters to start one instead of writing them down.

I recently finished my first story working with an editor through Reedsy, and it was an incredible experience. She is extremely qualified, and I knew I was in great hands. Her feedback was thorough, helpful, and insightful, and I felt completely supported and encouraged from start to finish. The first round of feedback blew me away. The extensive notes she included showed her deep knowledge of publishing and the structure of the type of story I wanted to write. Highly recommend working with an editor through Reedsy!

Reedsy is the best platform for new and veteran writers alike. I've written my recent manuscript on their editing feature (and it's even received a partial request from an agent!). The site is easy to navigate and offers plenty of amazing resources. I commissioned an artist, Sofia Sanz, to create a cover for my book and had a wonderful experience. It's helped with marketing, sales, etc. Forever grateful for Reedsy! Highly recommend!

This is great

I paid them to review my book. What a rip off. My book never got reviewed and all they seem to want to do is promote their site and try to get you to give them more money. Don't waste your money.

My experience with Reedsy was excellent. The platform is easy to use, professional, and very helpful for connecting with talented and experienced professionals. I especially appreciate the quality of the services and the smooth communication. I would definitely recommend Reedsy to others looking for reliable publishing and writing services.

Reedsy connected me to a phenomenal cover artist for my historical novel. The process was easy to use and quickly helped me secure multiple quotes from artists of my choosing. For what I paid, I feel I received truly professional work and excellent value. I will definitely seek quotes from Reedsy on future projects.

This was my first time working with Sugandha and she exceeded my expectations. She was very responsive, professional and friendly from our initial communication to the end of our collaboration. The assessment of my work was very helpful in making necessary changes. Also her work on my query letter was essential to me being able to submit my work clearly and professionally. I would highly recommend Sugandha for any work you need on your manuscript and will gladly work with her on my next books in the future.

As someone who didn't know where to look for an editor, I am incredibly glad I chose Reedsy. The platform made it frictionless to find a high quality editorial partner. The editor I worked with exceeded all of my expectations. She provided a highly detailed, in-depth editorial assessment alongside precise line edits. Beyond the technical quality of the feedback, her insights gave me the exact clarity and encouragement I needed to confidently revise my piece and submit it to a competition. I couldn't be happier with the outcome and will absolutely be using Reedsy for my future projects.

I was looking for an editor, and I found one within my budget that helped me get the novel to a place I am proud of!

What a great concept: one-stop shopping for authors. You can find classes, get your book edited, reviewed or illustrated, find lists of book awards and reviewers, and many more useful services. I have used quite a few of them myself, and recommend them whole-heartedly!
