I have been looking forward to this Airshow for 14 years and purchased tickets for 3 days.Monday 23/3/2026 I suffered a stroke and was rushed to Westmead Hospital near Sydney where I spend the next 3 days in hospital. The doctor has said under no condition am I allowed to drive or fly for the next 30 days. Thinking with a full medical report would be enough to satisfy Refundme or Trustpilot for a bit of compensation I receive an email saying no refunds. I didn’t even get a response from trustpilotrefundable.me, waste of time. This is just stealing, what a bunch of crooks! Where does all the money go? The organisers at Wanaka should not be allowed to use Ticketec only, disgusting. If any one is interested in a 3 day pass please let me know, shame on you.

Our Family had booked air-tickets and paid for the option of cancellation. My Wife and I logged a claim due to medical reasons online for which we have not even received a link to proceed or an acknowledgement.
Have contacted the issuer of the Tickets 'Aunt Betty' to investigate the best way forward noting the situation described above - but the response is that they can not assist as 'Refundable Me' is a Third Party. They do not have a way of contacting them.
'Go Figure' how is this even conceivable.
This is the worst possible scenario to be in. The issuer does not want to take any responsibility and the Third Party is not contactable either by telephone or email and to make matters worse the Third Party "Refundable Me' does not even have a website.
Its Daylight robbery - a scheme for the companies 'Refundable Me' & 'Aunt Betty' to print money for themselves through a dubious scheme.
Buyer Beware
17 April Update _ Despite writing to the email provided in their response to my earlier experience. There has been no further actions. @Heidi and Team please respond. I am awaiting progress on this with refund.

Had to cancel a marathon after breaking my foot. I was worried when I saw the negative comments here.
But I received the refund in my account the next day after filing my request. I think they deserve a good review.
Giving 4/5 because they asked for my documents by email after I have uploaded them to their platform. Think this can be streamlined.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Do not waste a single penny on "cancellation protection" from Refundable.me. It is a complete and total scam designed to take your money and offer zero support in return.
I purchased their protection specifically for peace of mind, but when my destination was hit with a valid government travel advisory—explicitly stating it was unsafe to travel—they flat-out refused to honor the claim. What is the point of "cancellation protection" if a literal government warning isn't a good enough reason for them?
Their entire business model seems to be built on finding every possible loophole to deny valid claims. They hide behind "terms and conditions" that make it impossible to actually get a refund, even when you have proof. Dealing with their customer service is a nightmare; they are unhelpful, dismissive, and clearly trained to just say "no."
This company is predatory. They partner with booking sites to look legitimate, but once they have your fee, you'll never see a dime of it back.
DO NOT TRUST THEM.
Save your money and book through a reputable company that actually cares about traveler safety.

I had a really positive experience dealing with this team. Sarah was incredibly helpful, understanding, and professional throughout the entire process. She showed genuine care and handled my situation with kindness and efficiency, which I truly appreciated.
Communication was clear and timely, and everything was resolved smoothly. It’s refreshing to deal with someone who goes above and beyond to support customers.
Thank you again for your outstanding assistance—I’m very grateful and highly recommend your service!

The refundable me has no way to contact via phone. It is a total dehumanizing experience with no resolution. It would be better to offer nothing than to go through the hassle of uploading documents, etc. just to be told No. I cannot even find a way to dispute the decision.

Unfortunately, I booked their additional “service” against a fee without checking the poor customer rating before.
Based on their one sentence reply, they did not even bother to check my case but dismissed it right away although it qualifies for a refund according to their T&Cs. Completely useless unfortunately.

Total scam they should be shut down. Wont pay out unless you take legal action.
They did offer to pay on the day before we fly that took 20 days plus.
This is a total scam company and it will take consumers to take it to court or report this company as fraudulent . Read the 1200 reviews they all say the same. “Asked for more detail is the standard” we had three seperate medical opinions and it was still initially rejected. Shut this mob down!

I purchased refund protection with my Ethiopian Airlines tickets, which is handled by Refundable.me, and the experience has been incredibly disappointing.
I applied for a refund due to a legitimate medical emergency and submitted all required documentation, including screenshots clearly showing that I purchased the refund protection option. Despite this, Refundable.me repeatedly denied my claim, stating that I “did not buy” the protection — even though the proof was right in front of them.
Their refusal to acknowledge the evidence feels careless and unprofessional. Instead of helping during an already stressful situation, their process added even more frustration and wasted time.
If you're considering buying refund protection through Ethiopian Airlines or Refundable.me, be very cautious. Based on my experience, the coverage you think you’re paying for may not actually be honored when you need it most.

Total Scam. They will find a way to decline your application even with a death in the family that required us to cancel our trip to attend the funeral.

Paid for the insurance in case I got an injury for the Manchester Marathon, which I did falling off my bike. Refunded in full.👍

We bought a ticket for an event / circus using the refundable option which was unfortunately through refundable.me. Unfortunately after booking the ticket for the event my wife was called in for work which was during the time of the event and so we could not attend. Thinking this refundable option would give us some flexibility which was the refundable option however, it the company makes it very difficult to obtain refund and should not be used.

My experience with Refundable.Me was awful! I purchased a ticket for a tour of Paisley Park (Prince's studio and home based in Minnesota) but was not able to go on the date for which I purchased the ticket due to illness. Unlike so many other services I've used (Asurion, Allianz, etc) this one looks for every conceivable angle NOT to provide a refund! Despite providing all the documentation they requested, they ultimately DENIED my claim and refused the refund because it fell "outside the 60 day window". Simply ridiculous, every other insurance I have ever used gives you (1) year, 365 days. This service looks for every conceivable reason or 'technicality" to escape showing any compassion or providing you the refund for the very reasons you purchased the service to begin with. A co-worker of mine tried to submit a claim for an event she could not attend due to the death of her cousin, and Refundable.Me actually denied the claim because she was not able to provide a death certificate!!! Enough said. DO NOT PURCHASE OR USE THIS SERVICE!!!!!

Started filling out a refund request but had to stop to gather some documents. I hit save then came back later to keep going. When you go back to their website and enter the booking reference it says this is already associated with a request, we'll send you an email link. Waited 24h and no link. Tried to contact them but to contact them they say you either need to have completed a refund request which I can't do because I havent received the link or reply to their email which I can't do because they havent emailed me. No online support, no email address, no socials, no phone number, just some random online enquiry form that doesn't work. I asked Ticketek to make contact for me as they partner with them and they said they can't.
I can only surmise that this elusiveness is a deliberate means of increasing claim abandonment.
This is a type of insurance or at least is advertised as such and so if no response is received I'll be escalating to the Ombudsman

After providing documentation, they approved my refund. I still have not received my refund even after giving my account number multiple times. Will never go through trivago deals again. I am out 210 dollars what a shame

What a complete scam. I paid extra for refundable tickets because 'just in case' something happens (you never know when another Covid ect. is going to happen). 10 days after purchasing the tickets for my brother's birthday present, I had to book multiple scans (one landing on the event date in another state) for a potential cancer diagnosis.
I've sent them all my appointment paperwork, but apparently, they still need a doctor's certificate?
I don't have the money right now for yet another doctors appointment just to get a certificate when I have $400 worth of tickets to a show I can't attend and can't get a refund for.

Having cancer treatment wasn’t a good enough reason to get a refund and they even asked for another letter from my oncologist which I provided, it made no difference. Pointless paying for refundable tickets if you’re not going to be able to get a refund for anything at all. They don’t care. Don’t use them. They are disgraceful.
*Sent them email as per below request. Hoping for a good result.
* Still waiting for a response to the email they asked for. Obviously they add responses to bad reviews to make themselves look good. Do not purchase refundable tickets if Refundable.me is the provider. Don’t bother, you’ll never get a refund.

I purchased tickets for a Muay Thai event in Bangkok and paid the extra to insure the tickets in the event we could not attend.
Unfortunately, conflict broke out in the Middle East and our flights were cancelled. There was also a UK foreign Office travel advisory issued for the region (our flights were connecting in Doha).
I submitted a claim for the tickets I couldn’t use (twice) and I later received an email declining the claim citing their T&Cs don’t cover in the event of conflict of travel advisories.
I clicked on their T&Cs link and there is no reference whatsoever relating to the reasons my valid claim was denied.
Reading all the other reviews, it seems this company is unscrupulous at best and fraudulent at worst.
I will be pursuing this further, and I have requested further information from them.
Please avoid and save your money.

I paid for the refund insurance. I woke up with norovirus and was in bed unable to do anything. They wanted a Drs note which i didn’t have as the dr wouldn’t see me a said to ring them back in 5 days if I was no better. I don’t get my refund so really wasn’t worth paying for. I can’t give evidence I don’t have. Waste of money as they will never pay out. This company is on the point of being fraudulent. They want evidence…. You want a photo of my puke. Not happy

What's the point in purchasing ticket insurance if you're just going to have 1) a review process and 2) them just tell you that you aren't qualified for a refund? I will not pay for this again.
