I bought tickets from Ticketek “insured” by refundable.me
So not waste your money on the insurance. It is almost impossible to claim even with medical evidence and one week out from the event they still have not assessed my refund claim and won’t respond to my follow ups or even provide me with their contact details. What makes it worse is I can’t resell my tickets on Ticketek because they have the useless refundable.me insurance product on them which means the Ticketek marketplace won’t allow me to resell. I would literally have been $380 better off if I had not spend the extra $30 on the useless refundable.me “insurance”.

I paid 10% in insurance for my tickets. My claim is within their terms, I provided a fully comprehensive explanation and supporting evidence. They still rejected it. I did a search on the company and have discovered the reviews. Clearly this company is not operating within appropriate guidelines. It is completely unethical. I will be lodging a formal complaint and following up with AFCA to lodge a dispute into consumer rights. This company needs to be investigated.
It is important we share this information widely. I will also be making a complaint to Ticketek and to the venue. I will be asking them to review their business relationship and request they review the service the company is providing its customers. They are also not an Australian company which also presents a risk to consumers.

Despite now 3 letters from my Doctor, describing my medical crisis, they keep asking for more. Why dont they just give a list of what they want up front. Worst communications of any company. No contact number provided or email address. Do not waste your $200. No mater how serious your crisis they just dont care. SCAM!!!

Do NOT waste your money on this company’s so-called “Refund Protection.”
I paid extra for a refundable option to protect myself in case something serious happened. When Doha airport operations were suspended recently and I chose to cancel for personal safety reasons, I was told this does not qualify as an “Emergency Situation.”
Instead of addressing my actual reason for cancelling, they repeatedly tried to reframe it as something else.
If airport shutdowns and genuine safety concerns don’t qualify, you have to seriously question what this product actually covers.
Read the fine print very carefully. In my experience, the “refund protection” offers far less protection than the name suggests.
SAVE YOUR MONEY!

I requested a cancellation 3 weeks before my trip. Even though I paid for their specific refund protection, they refused to refund a single dollar. I have tried multiple times to contact them, but they are impossible to reach. Extremely poor business practices and zero communication.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY; THEY ARE FRAUDS. This company was provided to me through a Trivago booking. They claimed their policy included pre-existing conditions. I filed my claim with all the required supporting documentation two months ago. Each time I get a denial, it is for a different reason. And then when I refute the reason, they say you're right and provide another reason for denial. This is clearly a fraudulent company hoping that their delaying tactics will force customers to give up on seeking a refund. My trip reimbursement is not expensive, less than $200. I have spent hours trying to get this refund. This business should be closed.

I couldn’t access my refund to change the email address - how do you contact them to change it!??

They don't refund anything. I had an emergency situation come up - my dog underwent a major surgery and they immediately closed and dismissed my case because it didn't fit under their general reasons.
Then, my event was cancelled and the event coordinators have not provided a way to obtain a refund - which they also WILL NOT REFUND. Even though in the terms and conditions they say in the event of cancellation/postponed event to contact their customer service.
If I am buying a REFUNDABLE ticket I do actually expect it to be refundable. Even if you don't cover cancellations - absolutely should have approved my previous application because it IS an emergency.
I requested (on principle) they refund me the $30 cost for a refundable ticket because I was misled by their site and conditions that my REFUNDABLE TICKET was refundable.
If you're not going to refund me for an emergency or a cancellation, do you refund ANYTHING? because other reviews clearly highlight that you don't and are in fact a SCAM.

This company is scam. I bought insurance for a kids event. My kid got sick and I immediately got doctors certificate and sent it to Refundable.me email and they answered that I had not purchased insurance. I fowarded them a copy of their own insurance, no reply. I contacted organizer and they confirmed I had insurance - still no reply from Refundable.me. They never replied any emails of mine after that.

Horrible, the refund application froze partially thru and it won't let me finish. I paid extra to be able cancel and I feel like I'm jumping thru hoops to get my refund with no way to contact this company. My mother became severely ill, and so we needed to cancel.

Absolutely terrible people with no heart or soul. Family had a holiday booked but a few days before needed to fly out a family member we was hospitalised and we were told they wouldn’t survive and we should say our goodbyes.
The holiday was cancelled due to this. While the family member was hospitalised they fortunately managed to survive.
Even with a certificate from the hospital to confirm that we were told they would be in end of life care they refuse to provide a refund or credit of any sort.
Terrible service, terrible people.
I hope you never have to go through something like this

Applied for a ticket refund as my mum passed in October and I and it’s February and I haven’t had a response. This is disgraceful to pay for a service and not even be able to receive any service is really upsetting.

Both super.com and these guys are literally scam artists preying on people that make mistakes. I accidentally clicked the wrong date for a hotel room and immediately tried to cancel to re-book, they canceled the stay and took my money, so now I can't book the hotel again. Even though it's part of their terms of service it really should be case by case, there was like 20 minutes between me booking and realising it was the wrong day.

This is the perfect company to use if you don't want to deal with refunds or bulldog you from your money. What I dont understand that if one of the reasons on the drop-down list states the reason for cancellation, why would you deny someone a refund for the reason you allowed. And then tell me that I should call MY customer service for further help? The reasons they have for valid refunds almost never happen and they really don't give any room anything else that happens. Everything has to have evidence but life shows up and there's no evidence for that. But it's poor taste to give the reason you need a refund only to be told we don't give refunds for that. WHAT??

I definitely do not recommend paying extra $70 on top of the tickets that says “you can refund” and then the company makes eeeeverything possible to not refund you. I am so disappointed, I thought it is legit.

After understanding the full situation, I realized that the scam does not originate from Refundable.me. The real issue starts with the main booking website, in my case Aunt Betty.
When purchasing the service, Aunt Betty promotes flights as “refundable,” but does not clearly disclose the extensive terms and conditions required to qualify for a refund. More importantly, they do not clearly inform customers that refunds are handled by a third party (Refundable.me) and that the customer must contact them directly. I only discovered this after my third call with Aunt Betty.
It also appears that the main booking website earns a commission from the additional amount customers pay for “refundable” options, while shifting the responsibility and complexity of the refund process elsewhere.
Once I understood how Refundable.me actually works, my experience with them was fair and professional. I followed the instructions listed on their website, submitted valid medical documentation, and received my refund in under a week. The process was straightforward once properly explained.
Because of this, I do not consider Refundable.me to be at fault. The primary issue lies with booking websites that advertise refundable services without transparent disclosure, clear instructions, or upfront explanation of the third-party refund process.
I have all the proofs. Reply to this post if you wanna see proofs.
This is my first review ever, but I feel it’s important to share this experience.
Despite having a genuine and serious medical reason — involving family members suicidal attempt - my refund request was declined. The process felt unnecessarily difficult, and there was little to no empathy shown throughout.
When you are paying premium prices, you expect a reasonable level of understanding and customer care. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
I would encourage others to carefully consider this before committing.

Awsome service. Provide the requested paper work that night full refund in my bank.
Highly recommend them.
