There was positive things and negative things but overall, I do not recommend renting a car from this company. First some positives: The car was nice and in good condition (Ford Puma)... See more

Great service - new car (Opel Mokka 2023). I have received a free upgrade from compact class.

I was very pleased with renting a car…
I was very pleased with renting a car last summer. Unfortunately I have not been in Italy since but you just took
1048kr danish crowns from me 23/2 2024. I’m very confused and sad. I would like to know what this is for.

Kept my deposit and charged my CC
The car was fine. Service was average. But I’m still owed a refund for my gas deposit after filling the tank. Six months and many emails later where they agreed to the refund. Then I get a CHARGE on my credit card rather than a refund!!! I feel cheated and this company may be fraudulent! I won’t use them again! Their response below in incorrect. I am still owed the refund after six months and the bills I am getting for tickets are unpaid because they have not credited my refund against the bills. Happy to settle this account if they credit my refund toward the bills! But they are not responding. I’m not paying the bill until I get my refund!

We hired from Naples
We hired from Naples . Very helpful staff ..no hard sell on extra insurance (we have our own ) ..car was in excellent condition (,Fiat 500) ..easy no hassle drop off . Just a heads up you need to call them so the shuttle bus comes to get you from outside the airport

Very good experience
Very good experience. We bought the insurance from the desk, Nicolo was the agent-very nice, helpful he gave us a paper with all the details-how to find the parking lot from the airport-Bergamo- and also when we will come back. From the desk-wich is in the airport to the parking lot you must take the bus -it takes few minutes.
When we brought the car back there was some dust and salt from the road but it was ok, no one had anything to say.
It was a good experience, strongly recommend

Rentalplius One of the best companies…
Rentalplius One of the best companies in the business 👍🏻
We started traveling by car in Italy from the city of Bergamo.
We chose Rentalplus, it was a very good decision. I especially want to mention the employee (unfortunately I didn’t remember her name) she did her job very quickly and efficiently 👍🏻
When I come to Italy next time, choosing a car rental company is no longer worth it for me!
I wish everyone health and all the best! 🇬🇪🇮🇹

Lacking in communication explaining the damage repair cost involved
I rented a car with them this September in Italy and had a minor incident that I scratched one of the doors on the left. No one was hurt, it was just a cosmetic damage. I was aware that there will be the repair charge that I have to pay for as per the fact that I didn't purchase any cover when I signed the contract.
When that incident happened, I notified the company and sent the related documents and photos – and when I returned the car after the full period of time as there was no issue with the car's performance, they assessed the damage and without spending a minute, I received the payment invoice which was nearly 900€ - the car wasn't one of those expensive models and the rental period was only 3 days in total, and when I asked them to give me the details of the repair and how the cost of 1,000€ is broken down in detail so that I can justify the additional cost that I'm paying for. I asked a few times and it didn't seem they are understanding and they just explained to me that I'll received the invoice with all the details for the repair and service charge.
The document I received via email was just lumpsum of 900€ bill and it only says 'bump'.
I reached out once again, however I hadn't heard back from them about all the details on this matter.
If you're thinking of going with this company, please reconsider - it can costly damage your holidays quite easily both financially and emotionally
Be Careful
I hired a Large SUV from RentalPlus (Malpensa) at an attractive price via online broker Discover Cars for a recent holiday to Italy.
Unfortunately the car got a puncture near Assisi. This led to an unfortunate series of events
- no spare in the vehicle
- whilst the emergency pick up truck arrived promptly there was no local garage where the car could be taken to repair the tyre.
- I still have had no explanation from RentalPlus why we were abandoned at the pick up truck depot 40km from our hotel for the night in Perugia. We made multiple calls that day to the Emergency provider and RentalPlus who blamed each other and did not offer a solution. It appeared they had no local arrangements near Assisi nor were they prepared to tow the vehicle to a different garage. We had no choice but take an expensive taxi to our hotel laden with luggage.
- When the call centre opened the next day they were helpful and we were offered a replacement vehicle to pick up either in Pisa or Florence the next day and to make our own way. Our itinerary was in the Pisa direction so in addition to the taxi transfers to and from our hotel we arranged a 2 day one way car hire to Pisa.
- We picked up the replacement car and returned it to Malpensa at the end of the contract.
RentalPlus charged for the tyre repair (in line with the contract as I only took basic insurance) and applied a one day rent’s discount.
Naively I assumed RentalPlus would make a contribution in lieu of the inconvenience and extra costs incurred when we returned the car. At the very least I did not expect to be out of pocket and perhaps they would waive the tyre repair cost.
Unfortunately after the email exchange with the customer service department the conclusion is that RentalPlus have taken no responsibility for the stressful situation created, ruining 2 days of my holiday or the additional costs incurred (€600) due to the service failure of there contracted emergency service provider. They consider the 1 day discount ‘reasonable’.
So this is the reason for the 1 star review- please judge for yourself. I see it as a service failure.
It is likely many customers will have a good hassle free experience with RentalPlus and enjoy the attractive pricing on offer but if you are unlucky enough to have an issue during your rental then they do not appear to have the necessary emergency repair arrangements in place in all of Italy. They will also not reimburse any costs.
Very happy with rental experience
Very happy with rental experience! Nick made everything super easy and was very detailed! High level of customer service provided! Will rent from them again.

Rude staff

NIEUW
The car was fine. But the personal behind the deskt and at drop off is extremely rude and unfriendly. Unnecessary long waiting times at pick up and drop off, baby seat practicaly falling apart( not up to 2023 safety standards).
Drop off was the worst! at the carpark we waited for 15 minutes for someone to assist us with the drop off. But on one was there. In the end we went in to the office because we had to catch our flight. We were literally yelled at and called liers for saying that no one was there. A new person showed up behind the desk and slammed the desk door hard on to the stroller where our 6 month your old baby was sleeping. Only go here if you want a bad ending to your holiday.
Avoid employee named Iolao
I had a tremendous experience with an employee whose name was Ioalo. He clearly doesn't know what client service means and shouldn't work with clients. When I arrived at 08.15 there were two more clients in front of me. The queue started getting longer and longer since he was working very slow (approx. 30 minutes per client) even though everyone had an online reservation. Sometimes he would write messages on his phone before serving the next clients. Or would close the check-in point for 5-10 minutes to go check if the car to rent out was there (?!). After ages of waiting it was finally my turn at 09.30 am. I asked to extend for a few hours my contract the day of the return, but he couldn't tell me the cost. To the point that I decided not to do it to avoid a rip-off. He was extremely rude during the whole time, pretended the car had been cleaned even though it was clearly not the case (outside and inside!) and insisted on it. When the behaviour was not tolerable anymore I went back to the check-point as two more employees had started by that time and refused to be served by him. The next employee named Francesco was very nice, extended my contract for a extra day for 20 Euros and apologized for what had happened. When I returned the car, I was served from a very nice woman (had dark skin - don't know the name). So it was just bad luck with Iolao. I would give him a zero star rating, but the other employees were very nice.

Overall, a good experience
We read many reviews and were a bit scared for this experience with RentalPlus, but overall it wasn't a bad experience at all. We took the car from Malpensa, they gave us almost a new car with a comfortable navigation system, the employees were nice and spoke English pretty well. The shuttle service was a bit chaotic, but eventually we understood how to get to the place. They worked over hours to service everyone who came that evening. They had a deposit of 500 locked, but it seems we got it back ok. We didn't have any incidents with the car, returned it washed and cleaned, so there is not much else to tell. I would probably use their service again. I hope they continue an honorable service to everyone else too.
Excellent service & upgraded!
I chose this company for our roadtrip around Italy.
The reviews were very mixed so I was a bit unsure about the reservation. We arrived at the Rentalplus in Rome with plenty of time for our agreed collection. I originally chose a small 5 door hatchback like a Vauxhall Corsa, Skoda Kamiq but was pleasantly surprised when they had a larger vehicle Nissan Qashqai available (for the same price!). Not only was it immaculate, it also had a full tank of fuel which made our trip alot easier.
I could not fault the service. The car overall was comfortable and perfect for our 1,500km trip despite visiting Lake Como with its narrow, twisting roads.
We arrived at Venice and was given a lift to the airport after checking out.
I scored 4/5 as the only downfall was that it had no screenwash?? Seems to be a common theme with all the sites so I am unsure if this is standard.
Thank you for making this experience easier.
Appalling - avoid!
Rented a Fiat Panda hybrid. Car broke down on day three of our four day holiday. Company’s response is that we have to go to nearest airport (not near), AT OUR OWN EXPENSE, to get a replacement car. Not wanting to lose 25% of our holiday to rectifying a problem of Rentalpluses own making we are going to have to get a taxi back to Bergamo at about €160. Fully expecting to receive a penalty charge for fuel as well because we couldn’t push the broken car to the nearest petrol station to fill it up! Also, roadside assistance mentioned the Fiat Panda hybrid is renowned for such major failures so maybe ask for a different car within the class if you get offered one. Go with anyone else (although beware - suspect a lot of rental companies have similar policies - check before you buy)
Motor oil level too low on pick up
Motor oil level too low (warning light) and car not washed at pick up, nobody in office at airport although within opening hours. Expense for extra oil at garage was not refunded although agreed on phone and picture of receipt was sent.
