We would like to clarify that Rentumo does not charge users after a subscription has been cancelled.

Based on your review, it appears that your subscription may have renewed before the cancellation was completed. The trial period or subscription begins on the exact date and time of registration, and each billing cycle renews on that same date and time. At the time of renewal, our system automatically attempts to process the payment.

In some cases, the initial payment attempt may be temporarily declined by the bank. When this happens, our system automatically retries the payment some time later while the subscription itself continues to run. If the subscription is cancelled after the renewal has already taken place, the cancellation prevents the next renewal but does not apply retroactively to the subscription period that has already started.

Coercive behaviour

Emily from one of their customer service departments has attempted to bribe/coerce me into leaving a positive review in order to secure a refund that I'm owed due to them renewing and taking my money after I cancelled in writing :))))

Unethical and manipulative

One of the managers (let’s call them manager “E” since they are trying to remove my review) told me that I would not receive a refund (that I was legally due) unless I posted a positive review on Trustpilot.

Manipulative, misleading and completely unethical. Avoid them like the plague.

EDIT: Rentumo are now reporting my review (which is my genuine experience) and demanding additional details. Pernicious behaviour from a company with very, very suspect business practices.

AVOID - Predatory and Coercive Billing - Terrible

“Country managers” are openly requesting 5 star TrustPilot reviews as a coercive method for customers to receive refunds for requests that were submitted within their written guidelines, and you get harassed by them for reporting this.

Beware of this scammy and predatory company. Also note that they will repeatedly harass you to remove any information identifying their predatory practices by attempting to take advantage of the TrsuPilot system and flagging reviews that aren’t to their liking.

The fact that they play these infantile games to boost their rating tells you everything about doing business with this company and how worthy they are of your business. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
