It's established, but the cost of building the app and maintaining it on Replit has risen. There is also not a convenient way to talk to someone for support questions as it is all managed by AI.

An Incredible Tool for Building and Learning!

Replit has quickly become one of my favorite platforms for coding. I love how easy it is to jump into a project without having to set up anything on my computer, everything runs right in the browser. The interface is clean, intuitive, and perfect for both beginners and experienced developers.

What I like most is how fast it is to prototype ideas, collaborate with others, and explore new languages. The built-in AI tools, hosting options, and community features make it feel like a complete development environment in one place. Whether I'm experimenting, learning, or working on something serious, Replit makes the process smooth and enjoyable.

Amazing app

Amazing app. Highly recommended for any beginners, who would just have an idea but don't know how to implement in codes. AI agents working are fast reliable and works with natural languages. Been using for a while now. Worth spending money for.

Disaster

For the first 5 days the system worked perfectly. Day 6 and 7 it appeared the coding agent had a virus as every code was incorrect. Simple coding like dates and currency was incorrect. I have tried reaching replit for 2 days and no help. Such a great start and then completely failed.

it is a great tool to get a web app or an AI tool configured with zero knowledge of coding. The only care to be taken is to know how to ask the questions. It does get a bit loopy when complex commands are given(eats up my credits) but does give satisfaction once you know how. watch the training videos to get some good insights.

It just isn't quite there yet, but I'll check back in in 6 months and see as it seems like it will one day be really useful!

I think its a great idea, it just isn't quite there yet. I can get it to design an app for me first time and in minutes, but always a small flaw that will mean the app can't be used. No matter how many times it tells me the error is fixed it never is, and often its created an additional flaw in the process. I have about 8 apps in the making and unfortunately not one of them can be used. One is a menu app, and it just can not get the footer onto the footer of the page no matter how many goes we give it. I spent about 6hrs of me telling it that it hasn't worked and it trying again then reporting that the problem is now fixed only for me to check and still not fixed and often now even worse. Such a shame as its so close but yet so far as I am struggling to believe that it can see an app through to completion.

Great App

I think the app does a great job given you provide the correct prompts! It works out its own flaws. The only limit is your own creativity and Replit does the rest.

Replit makes it simple for a solutions…

Replit makes it simple for a solutions architect to visualize and demonstrate prototypes and concepts. For myself, it enables me to take client business requirements and quickly build a working solution to not only assure the client that we understand the ask, but to physically show how the implementation and journeys map against them. Have to say, it is a true time compression tool.

Makes building fun and fast, even without coding skillsI’ve been using Replit for most of this…

I’ve been using Replit for most of this year, and it has become my main place for building small apps and experiments. I don’t consider myself a “real” coder, and that’s exactly why I enjoy it. The experience feels approachable, the UI is clear, and the agent usually gets me from idea to working prototype much faster than I could on my own.

A few highlights from my experience:

• The built-in database is a huge win. I don’t have to spin up Supabase or Firebase. Everything stays in one environment and the agent handles the wiring.

• I like paying per task and seeing the exact cost after each run. It keeps things transparent. That said, I really wish the agent could tell me a cost estimate before running a task. Sometimes I would choose a simpler route if I knew it upfront.

• The agent generally does a good job, including diagnosing and fixing problems. The testing agent with a live browser still feels like magic.

• Deploying directly to a replit.app domain is smooth, and the integrated option to buy a domain is convenient.

• I appreciate that the agent suggests follow-up features or improvements for my projects. It’s great for brainstorming.

At the same time, a few areas still feel rough:

• Last-mile integrations like getting OAuth tokens for Gmail can be fiddly, and often require manual back-and-forth.

• The security restriction that only allows emails to be sent to the account-registered address caused confusion. I registered with Outlook but needed to send Gmail-based notifications. It worked at first, then stopped with no clear reason.

• Secrets are account-wide rather than per-project. This forced me to swap credentials for one app and then deal with side effects in another. Per-project secrets would make things much cleaner.

• The agent can’t update the production SQL database for some reason, so I still patch things via copy and paste.

• I’m not entirely sure what the autonomy levels (low, medium, high, max) actually do in practice. The same for the Fast mode. A bit more guidance or recommendations based on context would help.

• The testing agent is great, but I often turn it off because of cost. I’m always trying to balance power and price.

Despite the rough edges, Replit has become my default place to build. It feels like a coding companion that mostly gets things right, and when it says it has made a fix, the fix is actually there. That’s not something I can say about every AI dev tool.

If Replit continues smoothing out the integration points and adds more cost transparency, it’ll be even better. Until then, it’s already a fantastic tool for solo builders and small projects.

I’m not a developer but I've made an app!

I’m not a developer, yet thanks to Replit I’ve finally built an app I’ve wanted to create for years. Some people complain about the price of the Agent or how quickly deployment costs can rise, but much of that can be managed by using the AI to understand your app’s architecture and identify where costs are coming from. With its help, you can optimize your setup and significantly reduce expenses.

As for the Agent being too expensive, it is still far cheaper than hiring a developer. The unpredictable pricing, where one minute of coding might cost $1 and another only 12 cents, is not ideal, but the overall value is hard to beat. This is also where the Assistant shines. It can do a tremendous amount for just $0.05 per run, and it can walk you through your code for free as long as it is not making changes.

Overall, Replit is incredible. The costs are not always predictable, but it is consistently more affordable than hiring a developer, and there are plenty of ways to work with the platform to keep expenses low.

I am able to build anything I want with replit but the billing information is not transparent, the integration between the billing and the system is not sync and replit can continue to bill you account without authorization and even after you can canceled your account. The customer service support is extremely poor. What a shame for a good service.

I have several months of experience…

I have several months of experience working with digital tools, automation, and online product creation. I regularly use platforms like Replit to build scripts, optimize workflows, and manage small applications for marketing, e-commerce, and content generation.

My work often involves:

creating automation scripts for data processing and API integrations

building small web tools and landing pages

generating and optimizing digital products (SVGs, templates, printables)

using AI models to improve production speed and quality

I enjoy experimenting, learning new technologies, and using Replit to quickly prototype ideas, test code, and collaborate across different projects. My experience is practical, project-driven, and focused on delivering real results efficiently.

Its really getting there

Replit has officially risen from sandbox to almost powerhouse.

If you haven't viewed the changelog recently, you're missing out on a huge velocity shift. The platform has matured quickly. Still far from perfect but improving after each ship, and they ship quite alot

The standout is Agent v3. It's no longer only a code completion tool; it genuinely understands architecture. I gave it a high-level notion yesterday, and it handled structural planning with astonishing ease—the autonomy is now useful for hard jobs.

On the front end, Design Mode mixes usefulness and beauty. The Figma import integration is just a productivity gain, reducing hours of CSS grunt work to obtain a unique, non-generic appearance.

I also have to love the mobile app overhaul. It finally feels natural. I conducted a production hotfix this morning while drinking coffee, and the procedure was smooth—no friction, just a fixed ticket. Between that, the boilerplate-killing Data Connectors, and the new Fast Mode for short iterations, it appears that the Replit team is dogfooding their own product significantly. that you can tell

Replit is the sweet spot

I have used several vibe coding apps and Replit is by far the sweet spot between power and easiness.
The agent is the closest to having a developer in your team.

Honestly good

Honestly, I usually don't write reviews for dev tools because they feel like homework, but I had to drop this because the Replit team has been absolutely on fire the last few months.

If you haven't checked the changelog lately, you are missing out. The shipping velocity right now is crazy.

First off—Agent 3. I don't know what kind of magic juice they gave this thing compared to v2, but it’s a massive leap. The autonomy is actually usable now. I threw a vague idea at it yesterday, and it didn't just write code; it actually planned the architecture properly.

Also, Design Mode?? Finally. It used to be a pain to get things looking non-generic, but now going from "idea" to "actually looks like a real website" is lightning fast. And for the designers out there, the Figma import feature is a total cheat code. Being able to just drop a design in and get code out saves me hours of CSS headache.

A huge shoutout for the Mobile App rebuild too. I used to hate trying to fix bugs on my phone, but the new app actually feels native and snappy. I fixed a prod bug while waiting for coffee this morning, and it didn't feel clunky at all.

I also appreciate the smaller QoL stuff like Fast Mode when I just need quick edits without the Agent overthinking it, and the new Data Connectors are saving me so much boilerplate code.

Basically: The "vibe coding" era is real. It feels like the team is actually using their own product because these updates address exactly what was annoying me six months ago.

Works well but still difficult

This works well but needs addons which they continue to add 3rd party support services… wish it was all in- house. Payment integration with stripe has had the biggest difficulties and have not had ability on either side to get that support needed. Then the optimization so that sites acquired through replit are search optimized is difficult. I e only been using for 6 months and still learning to prompt it correctly and to debug and make things error free often uses all the credits purchased.

From good to great

It used to be good to give shape to an idea, but always needed to move on to more and better equiped tools, but they are shipping quality upgrades and shipping them fast. You can actually very easily create a (if you want) profitable, that runs smooth with little maintenance.. great stuff. Keep it coming
