We came to Resi after a poor experience with a local architect. I was skeptical at first that it was possible to come up with a great design without visiting the property in person, but I was quickly proved wrong.

Our designer Jack quickly addressed our concerns with the previous design and improved it at every iteration. He could answer every question and query we had quickly and easily. The depth of his experience was evident on every call.

We've just submitted our planning permission and are thrilled with the design. It's far better than the previous architect produced and more than I imagined was possible.

Andrew has been brilliant! Really responsive and helpful in getting everything over the line.
Working with Resi has been really straightforward - it's been great for us because we had a really clear idea of what we wanted to do to the house.
Big plus is the way Resi managed the planning permission process.

A technology enthusiastic architect that lacks the human touch.

We used Resi as our architects for a full home renovation and planning support - and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.
Resi is cheaper than other architects, but this was immediately reflected in the quality of services, plans and planning support we (didn’t) receive.
Resi do a digital survey to gain measurements and then use these measurements for all future plans as they don’t visit the site (if they do you’ll be charged). Unfortunately as our home isn’t a square, level, new build these measurements were not accurate and meant we had to pay a future architect to take new measurements as the structural steels would not fit. Another example was that upper floor windows were lower than 80cm from the floor which would never pass building regulations - why wouldn’t they fix this from the first draft because it’s a basic?
Similarly, Resi claims to have in-house experts but when leading our planning application failed to fill in key information which was only flagged by the council 3 months later, this meant we had to restart our application. Those who have gone through the planning process will know, this needs to be seamless to reduce attention and commenting from the local stakeholders - the Resi legacy made our planning journey 10x more difficult.
After 5 months from instructing Resi and £6,000 for a gamified dollhouse view of our property we were back at square one. We resolved the issues by instructing a local architect with real knowledge and who took ownership of their work.
We tried to raise this with Resi and also raise formal complaints but they would not accept responsibility or offer a refund for services of inferior quality.

If you are looking to add a box to the back of your house and you have examples along your road to make planning a breeze then Resi may work for you. If you have any complexities or design, then please choose someone more experienced.

Great team to organise your build project from discussion, to tendering for builders and finding specialists you may need. Very efficient and professional. Thank you Resi!

Structural engineering
We are a Resi partner and cover structural engineering. The dashboard is very helpful on providing quotes and keeping in touch with the clients. Emmanuel has been very helpful and our first point of contact.

Their 'end to end' service is second to none, with other partners, Structural Engineers, Party Wall Surveyors etc delivering an equally mirrored service.

The feedback I receive from RESI clients who engage me, also provide excellent feedback. Their drawings are very good, easily understandable and the customer service is second to none.

Resi as an architect on our project has been great, offering flexibility and taking time to understand our needs them implementing them in the design over a couple of design iterations, Bene is super patient and always took the time to answer the many Qs we had and work with our suggestions to get to a finalised design we were happy with to be submitted for planning.

Check your measurements with Resi, we found that there were errors of up to 150mm in places in the plans.

Working with Resi felt very straightforward and user-friendly. It was a relief to have everything consolidated in one place, simplifying a process I expected to be overwhelming—especially their recommendations for contractors they've worked with before. Embarking on my first house renovation, I was grateful for how Resi displayed and showed the timelines and the various elements at play. My vision for the design and layout was already pretty clear in my mind, and after a few revisions Resi brought it to life exactly as I wanted. Freddie Gee in particular, was a pleasure to work with and help reduce a lot of the stresses associated with the design phase as he was very responsive and made lots of design revisions for me when needed.

We've just completed the final planning phase with Nick of Resi. I've been really pleased with Nick's creativity in presenting us with designs based on our requriements that we had not considered ourselves, and then Nick's 'how can we make this work?' attitude to logistics, integrating the plan with other elements of the house and in making sure we meet building regulations.
Nick also has a very useful network of other trades to make intros to and to expedite work to keep the process moving well.
