Took my money and stole it
Took my money and stole it. No product ever arrived. Avoid like the plague. The fact there is a Facebook group specifically setup for the people he has scammed tells you everything you need to know. Now hoping my credit card issuer will refund me.
Make up your mind if it is legit or not
This is the situation, I emailed them over a year ago and asked for several computers and games to be added, this they did promptly (within a week). No way that you can get all those system emulators and games working in that time and integrated into the distribution hard drive.
This got me very suspicious of their MO. They say that there is a company with VAT registration and they pay half the VAT when you purchase. 1) No details of company number and address or a VAT number which is legally to be provided on any website. 3) Went to Companies House and retro systems ltd 06025562 - was dissolved on 26 June 2018.
The other thing is that a java script runs to say that certain people have just bought a particular system and the area, this has been running with the same people for over a year now. I think this could be to make the website look legit and actual people are buying systems. Also to reinforce this that the sales are high is that there are only 1 or 2 items in stock. Also the systems are on continuous sale for over a year now (this is illegal to have continual sales) to help make you think you are getting a bargain.
It is also illegal to sell these systems as copyright exists on them for 70 years after the owners/authors have died.
So you are now armed with this information and it is up to you to make up your mind if this is real or fake. Remember many legitimate companies can still have fake or incorrect reviews.
Such a scam
Such a scam. They've changed the name to retroicebox. The guy told me he sent it but never sent a tracking number. 2 months later after sending multiple emails that went unanswered. Raised a complaint with pay pal. Received full refund 1 week later. Fu** this guy.

Scammer please do not pay any money to these robbers. I went with this company as it claimed it was a family run business I paid £100 for the console In may. I still have not received the item i paid for. I have tried to email them several times to find out where my item is and all I ever get back is the same automated message. I have pretty much come to terms that I have lost that money however please do my send these people any money unless of course your happy to just give it away and receive nothing for it.
Crook and con man
Take something from a shop without paying that is classed as theft. Mr. Justin Heenan is doing exactly that !
Genuine fraudster
Why is this person still allowed to trade?
It's been two months now since my initial order. I've raised a dispute with the bank but I've still got another 2 weeks to wait. Raise a dispute as soon as you can.
Advice for anyone who’s been scammed
Writing TrustPilot reviews is good but what everyone needs to do is raise disputes with their banks
The company will lose the ability to process card payments if they get a high number of chargebacks.. this will stop them scamming people.
Speak to your bank and say you need to raise a dispute and that you’ve waited over 2 weeks for your goods, then say they’re not responding to emails and direct them to this page too as further proof they’re scamming everyone.
Total waste of time
Total waste of time. No replies to emails. There is a Facebook page of unhappy customers. Hundreds. Buy anywhere else. Had to get a chargeback to get refund from bank.
