Met some lovely people along the way and have to mention the support crew Teekay, Geert and Henk who were all fabulous. Will definitely organise a tour with company again. This was my first experience to South Africa and motorcycling holidays. Travelled solo for the Garden Route tour. From the pick up from Cape Town airport to the drop off for the journey home, the whole experience ran as smooth as a swiss watch. The accommodation and food were amazing. The trip was so well organised from start to finish.

A Truly Unforgettable Adventure with Ride Expeditions

Winning the Ride Expeditions competition was a complete surprise. I never usually win anything! But what followed was one of the most incredible experiences of my life: riding through the Himalayas with an outstanding team, new friends, and the most breathtaking scenery imaginable.

From the moment we arrived, everything was organised to perfection. The support team including Danny, Tutu, and Imran, were absolutely brilliant, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine warmth. Their knowledge, encouragement, and humour transformed the trip from a tour into a true adventure.

The support vehicle was a huge part of what made the experience even better. For my partner Renata, it offered a reassuring sense of security during tricky sections and the freedom to hop in when the terrain became steep. This thoughtful detail allowed us both to fully embrace the journey without worry.

The highlights were endless. Riding the mighty Himalayas has long been on my bucket list, and reaching Llingad, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, felt like a real achievement. Pangong Lake was a breathtaking surprise, and the ever-changing scenery kept every moment fresh and exciting. I even managed to conquer my fear of off-roading with the encouragement of the team, something I never thought I’d say!

The organisation of the trip was faultless. From the daily briefings and the easy-to-use Ride Expeditions app, to the small refreshment stops that broke up the rides, every detail was carefully considered. This allowed us to relax and focus entirely on the ride and the experience.

Beyond the ride itself, what made the trip truly special was the people. The friendships we formed, from fellow riders to the support crew, continue today through our WhatsApp group. Ride Expeditions doesn’t just deliver a trip, they create a community.

This adventure has only left me wanting more. South Africa is next on my list, and after seeing how Ride operates, I wouldn’t travel with anyone else. They’ve struck the perfect balance between adventure, safety, education, and fun.

If you’re considering a Ride Expeditions trip, stop thinking and just do it. You’ll come away with incredible memories, new friends, and the ride of a lifetime.

Done 6 trips with Ride now. All amazing in their own way. Laos-Vietnam, Ho Chi Mihn trail, Himalaya, Dirt and Secrets in Laos, Mongolia and now Hidden treasures in Colombia. Common for all of them is great local guides that love their country, great overnight locations from luxury hotels to tents on a island in the Mekong. Food is always amazing and it's amazing how good everything is organized, even in the middle of nowhere! Ready for my next one in Cambodia in January. Hidden Kingdom. Just hoping the trouble between Cambodia and Thailand don't escalate. Aiming for 10 trips :-)

I just finished a very well organised motorcycle trip in Laos, the Ho Chi Minh trail, with Ride Expedition. I was quite impressed by the very well crafted tour, full of educational visit, fantastic off road riding, single and double tracks, all meals, gas, and lodging included. There was a team of local guides and mechanics that were efficient to the point that you would not wait more than 5 mn to exchange bike in case of flat tire (yes there were 2 support 4WD with extra bikes) or fix anything. I rode many years in Africa and North America, yet this was the best ride I ever did - thanks to the outstanding organisation and planning.

Hi All, I’ve just returned from a ride Expedition Cambodia trip and I’m still buzzing!! I didn’t really know what to expect me and a few friends booked it up with a open mind and it was something else, from day one we were off on a boat trip with all other guests 5⭐️Dinner to get to know each other and that was just the start of a fantastic Adventure, jungle, river crossings, 1000 year old bridges, it really was for me mind blowing and something I will remember for ever, not sure which trips next but I’m sure they’ll be another, so thanks for a great Adventure Ride Expedition hopefully see you soon 🤘

Just did the Cambodia Tomb Raider 2025, wow what an experience. Tough riding, coupled with stunning views and a mixture of overnight stops. If you want a truely emersive tour, and experience authentic Cambodian life book this one, and if Nico is your guide you wont stop laughing for two weeks.

Just finished my second tour with ride expeditions, South Africa Garden route. Tour, accommodation, meals, guides and support all excellent. No problems everything catered for. Looking forward to my next trip. Take the hassle out of touring and enjoy the ride.

Just completed the Himalayan Heights tour and it was amazing. I have used your companies before but these guys were amazing. They had thought of everything. Robbo our tour guide was very professional and a great rider. The routes were stunning and accommodation was varied and interesting. Food was plentiful and I ate too much every day. The bikes were perfect and gave me plenty of confidence off road.
The leader rider Tinku and support crew in the van worked very hard and kept us supplied with cold beer at the end of each day. Best of all we got a super bunch of guys to ride with. All 14 of us got along great and it was an incident free trip! Worth every penny....only complaint is all other bike trips cannot live up to this one now!

My friends and I had a brilliant time in India with Danie and the team.. they ensured we had a safe journey, offered lots of support, and the accommodation and restaurants were spot on.
A far more pleasant and professional company than some others we have used previously.
I would definitely recommend this business, and we are looking to book another trip with them in 2025.

The Himalayan trip with Ride Expeditions was an experience that came straight out of the top drawer. The route and sights are utterly mind blowing. Ancient monasteries, colossal Buddhas on 4000m peaks, extremely high mountain passes, camp sites at 3500m, gorges, drop offs, on road/ off road! Tibetan influence is everywhere once you reach the more remote areas (the riding in the lower regions is more urban and the craziness of the Indian drivers more prevalent). The Buddhist spirituality in the mountains is deeply apparent in the calm, kind, peaceful and happy nature of the local people. Food is superb, accommodation was good and the RE team, both European and Indian were very professional - they kept us safe, fixed our bikes (they are all checked over every evening and any issues dealt with immediately), guided us through hairy roads and passes, fed us, watered us even carried our bags for us at each stop over. I cannot over recommend the experience. If you like mind blowing scenery, a chilled local culture and well organised expeditions then this is for you. We are all in our 50/60’s so no excuses old folk. Nick.

Really well organised amazing trip. Good backup for any issues with the bikes or logistics and nice hotels and campsites (high elevation which can make sleeping a bit tricky!). Roads bizarre mix of off road trail like abd smooth tarmac but amazing views on winding roads with hairpins and swooping curves. Tour leader, Nico, did very good job of briefing on each day’s activity / route / logistics abd kept a close eye on all riders to make sure everyone was happy

An amazing trip, never to be forgotten, with 10 other riders in the group - all a couple of decades older than me - but still great fun and company. The tour was superbly well organised by both the office (Kerry, Megan and Myra) and the professional accompanying team of 4 on the ground led by Nico Panigada. He may look a bit like Roy Wood from Wizzard, but don't let that fool you - his attention to detail was high and participation both friendly and informative. My only criticism is that he thought a walnut tree was a hazelnut tree. Schoolboy error. Ca***!!

I'm not usually one for group tours, as I rode solo in 14 countries in the past, but India requires a lot more logistics and planning with the ever changing climate and topographic conditions. Nico and his team basically babysat me throughout the whole tour, I'm definitely not an off road rider and was really nervous participating outside my comfort zone.. Everything to the most minor detail was carefully planned by ride adventures and facilitated by Nico and Nono .. lol sounds like a comedy duet .. I would highly recommended RE for these reasons. Namaste 🙏.. the Sarchu experience will haunt me forever lol..

The Himalaya tour with Ride Expedition for 13 days was beyond anything I could have imagined or dreamed of. As a newer rider, female, going to the country of India concerned all my friends and family. However, I was unbothered as I had gone on the Africa offroad tour the prior year and this company did an excellent job to make sure you are comfortable and well cared for.

This tour did not disappoint and dare I say it was even more incredible than the Africa tour, which is hard to beat. There was never a dull moment. The scenery was constantly changing and it had a multitude of riding conditions dirt, gravel, sand, loose rock, water, twisting roads, and plenty of environmental obstacles.

I think what made this tour better than the previous tour was the cohesive nature of the team lead by Nico P. There is a saying I truly believe in, "it doesn't matter where you are , rather who you are with." Nico and his team were professional, knowledgeable, highly skilled, and able to tackle anything that came their way. They were also positive and had a great sense of humor. Nico has a very warm presence and ensured everyone was laughing, and healthy. All members are true riders and bike enthusiasts. If you want to talk shop these guys have been there, done it, and so much more. My riding skills improved on this trip because they took the time to show and explain the theory behind riding and best techniques for the environments we were dealing with. Also, I have a demanding diet and Nico was never bothered in making sure I had what I needed. Lastly, the thoughtfulness of the team was unparalleled. While there are many tour companies in India for motorcycles, I would not pick any other company nor guide to go with . Nico and his team are exceptional 👏 I would jump back on their tour in a heartbeat.

As someone who typically travels solo, and is skeptical of company organized tours, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. However, I can honestly say this trip felt like one of those ‘once in a lifetime’ experiences you dream about and I literally have zero complaints. Everything was extremely well planned & organized, pre-trip communication was excellent, and the team on the ground was amazing.

Led by Nico, and supported by Nono and his crew, there was never a question of being in good hands. As one of the lesser experienced riders, I appreciated the advice and assistance of the team as I negotiated the amazing course they laid out for our journey. (It was hard to believe how each ride could top the next, but the Himalayas are something amazing.) I think it’s also important to add that I was the only person who came to the tour ‘alone,’ and it’s a tribute to Nico that he fostered an environment where I (and everyone, I believe) ended-up feeling a real part of a great group. I finished the trip not only with countless memories, but a number of new friends.

Just completed the Himalayan Heights trip with Ride Expeditions it was bloody awesome. Huge mix of roads and as you would expect terrain. The bikes were first class, with no issues. The team from Ride Expeditions were perfect not intrusive but always there to help and sometimes give advice 🤔. Oh and the route was outstanding. Thanks for still running the trip and using your knowledge to get us through the first' couple of days with small landslides etc after heavy rains. Basically I can't recommend this company highly enough for YOUR Himalayan adventure. Oh and Din Nico the group leader was great too 🤣😂. No I wasn't paid to say that.

Great company to deal with - very professional and they organise fantastic trips.

I've just returned from their South African 'Caped Crusader' tour which was a 12 day trip. Riding conditions were amazing - a 50/50 mix of scenic roads and some more challenging off-road riding. The sights overall on this trip were amazing and with a lot of varying landscapes.

Accommodation was great with a mixture of nice modern accommodation mixed in with some more unusual places to stay. Food was great too and we visited lots of nice restaurants.

The best thing I can say is that all my expectations were exceeded. I've been on three motorcycling holidays before with a different company so I had a fair idea what to expect, yet my expectations were nicely exceeded on this tour - with better accommodation, better food, and some really good riding.

I would highly recommend and will travel again with them. It's just a case of which tour next.....

Accommodation,Food,Routes were exceptional.
They even accommodated an alternative route for myself when some of the off road got too technical for me.
Can’t thank the guys enough for their knowledge of South Africa and the additional experiences we had as part of the trip.

Wow!! Just completed the South African Cape Crusader Trip in April 2022 on a BMW GS 1250 Adventure. What an amazing trip, the scenery, the accommodation, the service and the support where faultless. The Ride Expeditions team were fantastic and more than delivered on a real adventure.

This tour is amazing, every day we had a treat in front of us. Amazing tarmac twisties, gravel roads and off road trails all challenging but fantastic to ride with the most amazing mountain, beach or desert backdrop. I have been to many places riding, this is easily one of the very best and represents adventure bike heaven.

Every night after our amazing bike based adventure we were spoilt by interesting and fantastic accommodation. Be it in a safari lodge tent (glamping at its best), or remote cabin with stars filling the sky or luxury boutique hotels Ride Expeditions never failed to deliver anything but the best. Did I mention the fantastic food and amazing braai's which meant we never went thirsty or hungry.

Call out to the guys specifically who made the adventure as good as it could be, thanks Henk, Toby, AP, Ian and Craig (and Megan back in the office). These guys truly deliver with fantastic service and a smile and are there for you. They really worked to bring everyone together and created a great team atmosphere among the riders.

As someone who has done a few bike tours, this is head and shoulders the best I have been on. Book it now, far too good to miss, it WILL change your life.
