This is a bit of a long winded review, but please read it right through if your hiring a car at Split airport. And, this is the truthful and honest review, and I highly recommend this company.
I’ve hired cars in a lot of European countries and a few around the world. I hate it, as 8 times out of 10, there is always an issue.
I’ve had good & bad experiences, (mainly bad). From unfortunately, turning up and hour or so late, to find out that the hire company had cancelled my booking because I was late, even though it was their fault, as there was a large queue at the airport pick up location, hence the lateness. And I’m sure this was because I booked the car a year ahead, and got a good deal. (Always book early, if you can).
Other issues have included being pressured to take out extra insurance, even though I’d already bought a third party insurance cover. (TOP TIP, Always buy a third party insurance at home for about (£40-£50), when hiring a car).
Also, I’ve been accused of damaging the car when I hadn’t, and had the paper work and photos to prove the car was already damaged.
With this company (Right Cars & Nova Cars), I had no problems whatsoever. The guy at the Split airport counter was superb (and it takes a lot for someone like me to say this), but he was great. He explained everything, asked if I needed extra insurance, (they have to do this), but he DID NOT pressure me into buying it, and understood that I’d bought a third party insurance. He explained the car had a full fuel tank of petrol and had to returned full. After explaining everything else, he then walked me a short distance to the car inside the airport area and showed me the car. The car was like new (A VW T-Cross), and I was very impressed with the car. He allowed me to walk around the car and check it ALL over thoroughly. (Obvious I know, but ALWAYS check the whole of the car thoroughly, to cover yourself from any issues when dropping the car back and takes photos).
We then spent a great week in Croatia and the car was perfect, and with good fuel consumption.
When returning the car to the airport, the car was checked over. I was then told that my deposit would be in my account within a week or so and was given a receipt for this.
From parking at the airport to settling everything at the counter, took approximately 20 minutes.
I don’t usually say this, due to past experiences in other countries, but I would highly recommend this hire company.
Fantastic service / great relation price vs quality / We received much better car than what we booked!

The office is inside the building with all the other rental offices, connected with the main terminal. The parking lot is right outside the rental office, very convenient. The staff is polite, cheerful and does everything quickly. We’ve had zero problems or concerns either at pick up or drop off. Overall very pleasant experience, highly recommended.

Easy online check in. They didn’t try to sell us all kinds of additional insurance or charge extra fees. The car was like new and our deposit was returned to us as soon as we returned the car. Excellent service! Will definitely use again.

High level of communication with employees and via e-mail. I waited no more than 2 hours for each email reply. They helped me sort out the car rental deposit issue. I recommend this car rental a reliable and helpful company.

I rented for a week from Split Airport. The little Hyundai was brand new. The man who dealt with everything was charming, courteous and competent. The price was the lowest I could find.

It was really easy to deal with the team. they explained everything really well and walked me through the policies so that I could understand. They were very friendly. I would definitely rent from them again.
