Right Gas are Useless Gas
Been with Home serve for over 5 years and they unfortunately use Right Gas who really are so unreliable either they have a vehicle break down or engineer sick or stuck on job. Right Gas need to rename them selves as Useless Gas.

Appalling experience
Appalling experience. Our boiler broke down a week ago and we are left without heating or hot water and it is 3-4 degrees outside, almost freezing cold. I have my elderly parents living with me aged 91 and 88. Rightgas were referred by the Insurers Domestic and General and it has been problematic. The engineer has come 3 times but is frankly clueless and cannot diagnose the problem, he spent a few hours on the last session on the phone to colleagues etc to find help and ideas as he didn't know what to do. He refused to speak with me. When I telephoned Rightgas to try and find a solution I was spoken down to and then a female administrator hung up on me. Ita 8 days now and we still have no heat or hot water, freezing cold , this company are heartless and inhumane and a bunch of cowboys. I will be reporting this company to BBC watchdog as well as reporting D and G.

Very Positive Experience with Rightgas
Absolutely brilliant service from Rightgas from start to finish. Emma went way above and beyond the call of duty to make sure our replacement boiler was delivered to our house on time and Chris who did the installation was very helpful and a true professional. Would definitely recommend and use again.
I had my doubts about this company
I had my doubts about this company. However, as is allied with D&G I felt relatively happy. The first two experiences were poor, the representative being non-committal and verging on unfriendly.
I was on the verge of cancelling the policy but decided to give it one last chance. I had to call them in because the pump on the central heating was overheating.
To my great surprise, and pleasure, the operative - Anthony - was superb. He was polite, removed his shoes without being asked, competent and able to explain and discuss in an intelligent fashion. All of this was especially commendable as I learned that he had been asked, at the last moment, to take on some of the appointments of a sick colleague.
For me, Anthony saved the day and the company. I hope that he attends any further mishaps I might suffer.
Honesty and integrity coupled with great service
I was 'appointed' a replacement boiler supplier my insurance policy. I found BOXT service to be arrogant and dismissive, probably due to them knowing there were the default supplier of the insurance company. After demanding an alternative, I was provided with RightGas - the customer service was open, friendly, responsive and informative. Emma was fantastic throughout the entire process, being both available and knowledgeable in all aspects of boiler selection, fitting and follow up. Top marks to all the team - something I can rarely say when dealing with customer service in the UK these days
Great company
I couldn't recommend Rightgas more. They were very polite, efficient and competitively priced.
Shocking
Shocking - previous Boiler services by this outfit. Booked with another company when pulling the case off the boiler the engineer was confronted with 6yrs of debris due to the boiler never being serviced the previous years. They cleared out a box of debris, their hoover was not able to to take it all. Clearly this outfit just sign the inspection certificate without doing any inspection. It's no wonder modern day boilers are only expected to last 15yrs.

Very helpful team
We’ve experienced both the service and sales teams of RightGas and without exception everyone we’ve dealt with has been helpful and efficient. The service team are really helpful and respond quickly. Emma in sales and the tech team were really good at finding a solution that would fit our specific requirements for a new boiler system and kept us updated all the time.

If I could do less than 1 star I would. Words actually fail me... Between these guys and domestic & general, being vulnerable means nothing. 3 strokes and a heart problem means nothing to them, no heating since 20th November, hoping they will come tomorrow after 12. 4 days no heating at the coldest time of the year!!! My MP has been contacted

Hot water cylinder issue fixed
Richard has delivered a great service by fixing the issue with a motorised valve that would not open to allow heating water from the boiler to heat up the coil inside our hot water tank.

The engineer arrived and was immediately off hand. He took the cover off the boiler and failed to notice a disconnected wire. He told D&G that they would require 6 parts ordering to make the boiler work and also a sink needed removing as this was a health and safety issue. Sink was removed. D&G claims decided the parts would cost too much and said we would need a new boiler. For a second opinion we asked a local plumber to take a look and they immediately diagnosed that one of the electrode wires was disconnected. A new part the following day costing £36 plus 30 minutes labour and the boiler was working again. Saved £3800.
Altogether 2 weeks of unnecessary phone calls.
Never ever use Right Gas and if you are using D&G make sure they send you competent engineers.

Very poor telephone customer service
Telephone customer service was rubbish. Lucy, the call handler, made me wait for 30 minutes. When my turn came, Lucy said ‘hello?’ once, I was just about to respond, Lucy cut the line within 5 seconds. I called again and had to wait another 30 minutes. Lucy was not right fit for the customer service IMO. So impatient. She was not friendly either.

Rightgas was highly responsible and very helpful in dealing with my boiler crisis. Full marks to the business - in particular to Lee Carter and to Chris, the plumber.
My old gas boiler in my flat became unusable suddenly. Given that our flat is on the 6th floor of an apartment block, it was almost impossible to replace it with a gas boiler given the revise rules following the Grenfell Tower tragedy.
So, RightGas set out the alternatives with skill, leading me to choose an electric boiler for the first time.
Although this solution is likely to have higher running costs than gas at present, it is the right direction for those of us keen to minimise our use of carbon as our contribution towards the fight against climate change.
Chris, the plumber involved, and the electricians who were heavily involved too did an excellent job, completing it within seven hours.
The new system immediately startted working efficiently and continues to do a few days later.

I woke up this morning with no hot water but luckily, Richard came to the rescue within an hour. I have used him for boiler issues over the years and he has managed to fix the problem every time. He is polite and efficient and I couldn’t recommend him enough.

Exceptional Service from David D
I just had my boiler serviced by David D and he was amazing! He called before arriving to let me know he's on the way. When taking a look at my boiler, he was thorough with explaining what work needed to be done, took me through everything in a way I'd understand. He honestly went above and beyond, and provided exceptional service at the same time - and even tidied up after he was finished. Because of the service I've received from David, I'd highly recommend RightGas to friends and family. He even helped me with putting a pigeon into a box as it unfortunately passed away on my door step (I am petrified of birds) - It's always lovely meeting genuinely nice people. Thank you very much!
