The invoicing is intransparent, when yout want to have a call just to clarify, they will email you back (3 days later!!) that there is no problem you should just pay without asking. When you still want some clarification they want to charge you 40€ overtime fee.
After breaking up and asking to have my own accounting (which I already paid for) they send 3 useless pdfs and want to charge you again 70€!!

I strongly advise anyone considering this service to think twice. My experience with them has been nothing short of frustrating and stressful. I started using their services in December 2022 because their pricing seemed attractive, and the salesperson was convincing. However, what followed was a series of disappointments that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

My business is small, with only 2-3 accounting documents per month, yet their fees kept inexplicably increasing, despite no change in the workload. When it came time to submit my annual report, they continuously delayed the process, first claiming they would handle everyone’s reports in June of the following year. When I insisted on immediate action, they agreed but only under “emergency pricing,” which I reluctantly accepted. Despite paying extra, it still took four months and countless emails to get the document prepared. Meanwhile, they continued to charge inflated "emergency" fees for the following two months, with no transparency or explanation.

To make matters worse, they missed the deadlines for submitting my VAT KMD and TSD reports twice, blaming technical issues with EMTA. Reaching them was nearly impossible—calls were rarely answered, and emails were only responded to after a week, if at all.

Inconsistent billing, abysmal communication, missed deadlines—this company is the epitome of unprofessionalism. Save yourself the headache and pay a bit more for a provider that actually delivers on their promises. I can’t stress enough how much peace of mind is worth. Avoid this company at all costs.

Worse service imaginable which has caused a bad credit rating due to the incompetence, absolute lack of customer care, or any kind of resolution service!
While they were handling my taxation in 2022, a late filing of a monthly statement was made by this company on my behalf. Instead of trying to rectify the issue they proceeded to dodge responsibility for a year until the small debt accumulated was sent to debt collectors. I was in the process of setting up my business when the issue arose and do not receive any kind of benefit, and diagnosed with a debilitating medical issue, I'm not able to get a normal job anymore. So now I have a bad credit rating in a country i only just moved to! There is zero accountability by the Finnish tax office or any kind of legal avenue available without money to hold accountanting services accountable for their actions or lack thereof. Welcome to the wild West! Absolute joke!

BEWARE! RIIHOS IS A SCAM COMPANY! We have encountered serious problems with them. Overbilling for work not done over several months. The accounting service systematically fails to respond to your inquiries and to deliver the materials you request, such as receipts or reports, while still charging you for services that have not been verifiably performed.

Classic.
They lure you with cheep prices. Eventually prices become huge for nonexistent service and bad accounting.
Once you decide to leave and terminate contract, they will spam you with made-up invoices after.

Absolutely horrible. It is unbelievable that such scammers are allowed to exist. Isn't there some sort of government supervisory body in Estonia to investigate them and shut them down? They lured my in with a low price and then started overcharging for everything. Nobody in the company knows what is going on - I send a document to my account manager as requested, she confirms receipt, then 3 months later someone else asks for the same document AND invoices me EUR 30 for missing document. Not to mention that ALL the clients received some poor soul'd full accounting by mistake; Riihos did not even apologise. They are blackmailing me now, saying that they will not transfer the file to the new accountant unless I pay their inflated invoices, which they refuse to explain. I have wasted so much time dealing with them - totally incompetent and dishonest. I should have read the reviews first.

Totally missed looking at trustpilot ratings for this scammer of a company. Absolutely appalling and incompetent people who will overcharge you for simple accounting stuff. If you;re looking for a new accounting definitely not go to them. Im just a small business startup and I got bills the size of a medium business within 3 months.

e.g. These sickos charged me 180 bucks for calculating employee salary and adding to EMTA portal which takes few minutes only. Didnt even declare my taxes properly. They made mistake themselves and i had to pay for their own error lmao.

They cant read emails or dont care about what u write them. 10 ppl working on one client and u wonder how they get stuff done.

Biggest joke is them telling me it takes 5 hours to work on 40 invoices since they just learned accounting yesterday i guess. They charge for 0 work done.

This company operates from finland all the way to lithuania. JOKE. Or I hope its only the estonian office thats scamming ppl

AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! Please guys avoid this company, they will destroy your company and put you in a big trouble, this guys are uneducated and don't know anything about accounting, their huge bills will put you stress and maybe bigger problem. They are scamming people, they start at the beginning with small bills and as soon you are their fish they will start sending you huge bills. AVOID

Very good service. Changed recently to Riihos and my accounting cost got 30% cheaper immediately. Customer support understands my needs and responses promptly. Highly recommended.

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but my experience with Riihos necessitates a candid warning to others. After an unsettling encounter with their services, I am obligated to share the distressing lack of business ethics and professionalism I faced.

Despite an upfront payment, Riihos left my accounting in disarray. Their communications, repetitive and unproductive, only added to the frustration.

The situation escalated when Riihos attempted to intimidate me into paying exorbitant fees, threatening the closure of my bank account with baseless claims—a tactic that seemed designed to induce fear and extract money rather than provide any real service, that is confirmed by others review in this Trustpilot page.

To my dismay, I discovered a PAYMENT DEFAULT NOTICE published against my company for 1577.35 EUR—a sum that bewilders me, considering the only conceivable outstanding amount is about 150€ for services never rendered. Riihos has done no accounting for my company—zero—and yet has the audacity to demand more money, while they should be issuing me a refund.

Moreover, Riihos committed a severe breach of confidentiality by indiscriminately sharing the email addresses of their Estonian client base, mine included, compromising privacy and violating trust as clients unwittingly exposed sensitive financial information in response.

Given these egregious issues, I demanded the removal of the unfounded payment notice and a refund of the amount paid for non-existent services. Failing to resolve these matters will compel me to take further actions, including informing the press and their client base of the unethical and extortionate practices Riihos engages in.

This has been a harrowing experience, and I urge potential clients to consider these facts and proceed with utmost caution.

This business is absolutely appalling in so many ways. As others have mentioned, Riihos regularly adds extortionate unauthorized costs onto their monthly invoices with no communication and no permission to act. The costs quoted on their site are deceptive, as you will, quite frankly, never pay that amount.

It is a major red flag that this company has removed all of its company pages from social media, such as Facebook and Linkedin, and has also removed its Google Reviews.

The icing on the cake is that this company has now invoiced me for €160 two months AFTER the final termination date of our Agreement, and in the words of the company, "we expect full payment."

Pitiful. Avoid.

Extremely Disappointing Experience

I had an incredibly negative experience with this firm. When I decided to change accountants, they failed to return my accounting documents, despite having paid for their services for nearly a year.

To make matters worse, they insisted on being paid for months during which they provided no services. This included months in which I had already submitted paperwork to my new accountant, and yet they still demanded payment.

As a result of their actions, I ended up having to pay a fine.

I strongly advise against doing business with them. You'll find yourself facing fines, along with attempts at extortion for additional funds. They also arbitrarily alter the agreement contract in an attempt to justify their unscrupulous behavior.

I have worked with Riihos for the past 6 months. They got in touch with us, offering decently priced services. As a younger company it was just what we needed!
The first things on our agenda were our annual reports - we agreed on a price and then things got quiet - 4 weeks later we got an invoice for 4x the agreed upon amount. This wasn't an isolated case, as we continued to work together, we recieved huge invoices for basic bookkeeping, despite several phone calls about said issues.
I understand, that not all customers are the same and some may require more manual work than others, but this is where the real issue with Riihos comes into play: communication, or rather, lack there of. Not once, did we get a phone call, either asking for permission to do things or asking us questions in order to avoid aforementioned big invoices.
We had to call them each month, asking why they added surchage x and surcharge y to our invoices.
The quality of work, in terms of bookkeeping is questionable and the managers refuse to take phone calls, delegating these tasks to receptionists, who of course, do not about our situation. "We will discuss this with our team and call you back" was the answer we got 90% of the time.
If you are looking to spend 300-500 euros a month and recieve dismal customer service with lack of communcation, you have come to the right place. Otherwise, I would highly recommend to look elsewhere.
However, I will leave this with a positive note, they have excellent salespeople, now they just need the staff and skill to back the sales funnel, hence the donation of my 1 star.

I hate to leave negative comments/energy but this time I have to warn other entrepreuneurs.

UPDATE: This company has obviously not changed its ways almost a year later when I look at the newer reviews. What a shame, I wouldn't touch this dumpster fire of a company with a barge pole. Warning to all potential customers.

Be careful! This accountant service can cost more than you expect!
I paid Riihos Eesti 218 eur for 2 months. And what I got?🤨

- No
• Transparent all documents?
- No
• Huge bills for the service?
- Yes!

I have small OU with max 10 incomes/outcomes per month. When Riihos Eesti sales manager had described my future payments for their service, I expected about 27-30 EUR\per month… But last invoice was for 75,84 EUR! 😱
And when I asked Riihos about giant sum at the last invoice I get an answer "It is more time-consuming to record transactions in foreign currencies and in May bank statement You had more transactions than in April."

There were transaction for $5-17, and I had to pay more for accounting service than I paid for all transactions! And funny moment, one transaction was from there, but accountant counted time for service this invoice too.

One more interesting moment. If you have employee at your company every month, you have to pay Registered employee fee 4,9 EUR, but separately you have to pay for counting salary for every employee. And usually it took at Riihos Eesti from 0,333 hours to 0,43 hours and costed to me from16,65 to 21,50 EUR
But! I decided to try to do this count for my self, and it took 5 min! Am I cleverer than Riihos accountant?
And the last dot. I have to pay 3 x monthly fee (3 x 19,95€) because I want to end the contract immediately.
I'm not satisfied with Riihos Eesti price for their services and actually for the quality of these services!
