I had ordered Ritual prenatal vitamins and then needed to cancel my subscription. Turns out, they didn’t verify the address because there was a typo in it, which clearly made it invalid, but they cont... See more

Was supposed to arrive over an hour ago but yet giving delivery estimates for in the past. Changed delivery drivers 3 times so now the food will be cold. So unorganized, won't be ordering through this again.
Terrible customer service. The subscription service is a total scam. It started at around 30-something dollars, then up to $40, $45, $50 and NOW it's $54 a month. When I look on the website it says it's only $37 dollars. Note that $54 adds up fast because, that's $648 a year if it stayed at $54 a month, but seeing how the price has been rising for a while now without noticing, it will likely rise again and again. So much for being a "loyal" customer. You'll just be the swindled customer. This site is a scam. I will no longer be doing business with them. I don't even notice much of a change when taking the product either. The website the pills have little dots in them, whenever I get them they don't have them. Not sure if they are bad.
Sneaky and manipulative
Didn’t realize I auto-enrolled in buying my item until another shipment came. Looks like I wasn’t even given the option for a one-time purchase. You have to go back and manually decline a subscription so they can’t get more money out of you. not an honest, credible company if they pull this crap.
Yodel completely let this company down I thought.
Until I emailed Ritual email was basically not read .. Contacted Ritual about it all. They replied 6 days with a nice email saying I was hoping I was enjoying my products ??? No apology for parcel being late me having to contact Yodel on 2 separate occasions. Understand Yodel not there fault. But an apology would of been nice its there choice to use Yodel.
Customer service appalling
THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Also - they have a referral program but you never get the reward for referring friends. I am on my 9th email with them asking me what emails I referred (IS THAT NOT WHAT THE CODE IS FOR THAT WE ARE GIVEN?) I am dreaming of finding a different better alternative.
I'm giving Ritual two stars because they refunded me as soon as I reached out to them about the Money Back Guarantee. For that, they earned a star and I appreciate not having to fight for a refund. They’ve also followed up with a form asking me for more specific examples of the side effects and appear to be taking an interest in what happened.
Bottom line -- these products caused horrific reactions. I ordered the Multi-Vitamin for Women 18+ and the Synbiotic+. I developed terrible itchy acne all over my face, apparently an effect of too much Vitamin B12. The Synbiotic+ caused intense brain fog and I had trouble concentrating at work and struggled to get through the day. After doing some research, I found that too much of the particular strain used in the Probiotic can create an unhealthy amount of D-lactic acid in your system and create these side effects. Meaning, if your gut already hosts a healthy amount and you are creating an environment where there is an excess, it can be more harmful than helpful. And don't even get me started on the headaches.
The DAY I stopped taking these, my brain fog went away and I had a very pleasant day without headaches or anxiety. The acne will obviously take some time to clear up.
I really wanted to like these products. They have rave reviews all over their website and I was attracted by the quality of ingredients and third party testing. It wasn't until I realized that these products could be causing these reactions that I looked to other websites. I found several negative reviews on Amazon and Reddit with similar, if not worse, stories about terrible reactions to Ritual's products.
I guess you gotta hand it to them -- they have great marketing and their products sound very attractive. But if you're concerned about your gut health or a vitamin deficiency, perhaps you should consult your doctor before taking any product like this. After this experience, I'm wondering if I ever needed any of these supplements to begin with. I'm a healthy adult and I likely get all the vitamins and gut supporting bacteria I need from real food.
I realize I'm not a qualified medical professional like the ones who have developed these products and I'm sure doctors get very annoyed when regular people with no training suddenly think they have all the answers because they read something on Google. I don't doubt that these products can help someone with gut issues or vitamin deficiencies. But at the very least, Ritual should include disclaimers about the potential effects of their products, especially when there may be reactions to other dietary supplements. I canceled my subscription before writing this review, so the website will no longer allow me to share this directly to their website.
Not a fan the vitamins were overprice and tasted bad
I wanted to send a Ritual customised porcelain holder and candle set to a friend who’s husband has died - and not cheap at £65.50. Online delivery offer 4 happy birthday gift cards which means there is no way of sending a message or even letting my friend know it’s a gift from me. I asked for my message to be simply printed out on plain paper but Customer Services not only said it was impossible but were so rude they took my breath away. Just shows they may put a spin on mindfulness, calm and beauty in the shop front but they’re driven by ugliness. I’ll take my custom elsewhere
AVOID AVOID AVOID!
Terrible service, incompetent support people, infuriating approach to customers.
Ordered on the 26th March 2022, sat here on the 6th April 2022 still with no product. The saga:
- ordered to my house
- dubious about the auto sign up to monthly subscriptions (is that legal in the way it’s done on here??) but figured I would give it a chance based on the quality of the product
- chased update on delivery as tracking listed as waiting for dispatch on 1st April. Update provided was that the address wasn’t working in their system (my standard address that every variation of delivery company can make it to daily but apparently not this lot!). I checked the address on my account all fine, repeated it was accurate.
- support confirmed it would be issued shortly
- they then clearly amended to a random address of another house, clearly just to make the order go through. I received no notification of this at all.
- I get a tracking update today (on the 6th) saying it is with the courier and will be delivered to the random address later this week.
- I contact the delivery company (Hermes/EVRi: whole other story on service there!!) who state they cannot change the address and the retailer must do it
- I write to the retailer, who says “sorry to hear that, no problem we will fix it for you”
- support proceed to send me all the same delivery information and tracking info I already had, saying call the courier
- I try again explaining the issues I have had and expand on the challenge
- literally the same outcome…by this point I am lost for words
- so I ask for a refund as the product won’t get to me but the wrong address
- I am told for a refund I need to send them the product back….arrggghhh!
Will just contact Amex who will recover the money.
Just a terrible terrible service and massive incompetence all round. They do not care about customers at all!
How greedy and manipulative is it of this company to auto-enroll customers in monthly subscriptions???? Without any other option at the time of purchase??? What if a customer does not realize they are accidentally auto-enrolling in a monthly subscription and they don’t have the money to afford it? Truth be told I would have loved to be a recurrent customer but this website policy and business model disgusts me. Sure, monthly subscriptions work for some people but customers need to have the option. Sorry, but you lost me.
Some of the worst customer service I have ever received. The vitamins are great, but the subscription model is inefficient in that you have to manually adjust the order every single month in order to not have a gap without vitamins. I inquired about this, If for no other reason than to provide feedback on their process, and the service rep (named Christian) seemed to refuse to comprehend the problem, was so unapologetically rude, and did NOTHING to help me. Just copied and pasted some pre-written text, barely read what I wrote and didn't care at all about my experience. Bad subscription set up and even worse customer service. He was even sarcastic when I let him know that he wasn't actually helping me - a true jerk that does NOT belong in customer service. I've been pushed away by Christian specifically, and intend to look into their competitors so I can stop being a Ritual customer.
Great vitamins, great service and fast shipment. Thank you for making great vitamins and having them affordable to everyone.
I’ve been a ritual customer for 2 years. During the month of June they ran out of the Multivitamins 50+ and sent me an email letting me know that they would be shipping them when available. The new multivitamins arrived and something is different. These vitamins are marketed as being vegan and easy on your stomach which is why I took them for the 2 years. The new vitamins are intolerable and give me an upset stomach. I’ve sent 2 emails, trying to find out if they changed the ingredients sources but no reply. I’m giving them a chance to respond since I’ve been with them for so long and they really worked for me. Hopefully this is just a bad batch and I will continue my subscription with Ritual. I’ll keep you guys updated.
I started taking prenatal vitamins two months ago. These were the first prenatals I have ever taken and I love them. I like that these have a lemon citrus smell to them. Their packaging is recyclable. They're easy to take and the packaging of the bottle is nice.
I love these vitamins. I've been searching for a basic quality vitamin that wasn't full of herbs and added ingredients I didn't want. When I found these with exactly the vitamins I wanted I was thrilled. Shipping was quick. I'm not a fan of the minty taste but I can live with it. I'd prefer an option for a plain capsule but other than that I think they are great.
I really like these vitamins and how they are easy to swallow and have a minty flavor/scent. However, if I have too many, it is hard to postpone more, so I have an extra bottle here and there that I need to give away. I wish they allowed an easier way to pause the subscription.
I like the vitamins. They do give me the fishy burps, but if I take them before bed I don't notice anything. They're the best vitamins I've found that are vegan and don't have a bunch of unnecessary doses of B vitamins and such that I already get enough of in my diet. My biggest issue is the subscription service - I know that there's shipping delays bc of Christmas right now, but I've been without vitamins for over a week. Why would I sign up for a subscription service if they won't actually schedule them to be shipped soon enough to get to me? I wish I could order them when I was getting low myself, because then I could actually get them shipped early enough. Paying 30 damn dollars for a subscription service that takes this long (this is the longest delay, but there have been other shorter delays in the past) is infuriating.
Before I signed up with Ritual, I was always trying to find the best deal for three different vitamins at the grocery store. I took B12, iron, and Vitamin D and usually paid about $60/month but was never satisfied with the different products I was finding and trying. Then a friend told me about Ritual and it changed my world. I don't have to worry about price comparing, I'm paying half the amount I was before, and the vitamin I'm taking has everything I need and more. And now, my fiance can't wait to use up his current vitamins so I can add him on my subscription since they offer men's vitamins! Every time I've had issues, the customer service has been impeccable (there were a few months were I was shorted one vitamin). Highly recommend.
I had never been able to take multivitamins before Ritual. These are truly NO-NAUSEA and the lemon/mint tabs are lovely especially compared to the nasty smell/taste of all other vitamins I've ever tried. I have never experienced this "fish burp" thing I have read in other reviews... but I would recommend taking them before bed if that happens to you! That's what I do and I've never ever had a problem. Highly recommend this product to those who are sensitive to nausea.
I like the theoretical quality of the vitamins (prenatal) and I understand the cost factor for high quality and solid sourcing. If what the company claims is true, this is a great product.
My concerns were two:
1. Prenatal is only available with a lemon scent/taste. I appreciate the effort to improve taste, but the lemon one was unpleasant and mixed poorly with any other flavor prior to or soon after taking the vitamin. I think something like mint would work better. Especially for pregnancy.
2. The customer service was a bit confusing. When I contacted them to inquire about any alternate flavors, the person responding to me didn't seem to quite comprehend what I was asking about. It took about three back-and-forth inquiries for me to get the information I was seeking.
I have no way of evaluating efficacy of the vitamin on myself or my baby, so user experience is my only source for rating.
