Good company! Have been the customer since from the start! Tasty, healthy protein bars and bites. No nasties added which is very important for me. My favourites are chilli bites and a turkey bar. Very... See more

Roam is a real food first nutrition brand that started because we were sick of all the fake "health foods" that were on offer when we needed a high protein snack on-the-go. We make high-protein, natural snacks with nothing artificial added to our bars & bites. We wanted high protein, and we wanted all natural, but we didn’t want the weird ingredients that sounded like they should be in a lab, hazardous artificial preservatives, and the inconvenience of refrigeration. Since launching in January 2022 we have been building a loyal community of functional health leaders, biohackers, athletes and adventurers. Each and every one of them, passionate about the power of real food.

Honestly, I wish I had checked the reviews before jumping in and buying their starter pack for £33. Definitely a rip-off if you ask me. I started with their pork bar, which was literally horrendous — it tasted like sand, completely dry, with none of the texture or satisfaction you’d expect from beef jerky or biltong. The marketing might be great, but the product falls far short of expectations. I wouldn’t recommend it, sorry.

Have been using the subscription for the past year and use it as my office snack at work. Currently I take the turkey and original beef bars, very happy with both. Previously took the Beef Bites, but found myself eating them faster than my monthly sub.
For me, the reason why I buy them and why I value them, is down to the ingredients excluded in comparison to other products, while maintaining a high protein serving from a quality source.
The above is also extremely helpful when you are short of time. All too often when you are out and about, the only alternative is to overspend or accept eating delightful nasties deemed safe by the “experts”.
Overall. The bars save me from giving into office temptations daily..

Solid, no-nonsense protein bar. I like the fact that ingredient list is so short

Sadly not edible. Bought the taster pack for myself and husband. Neither of us could eat them. Just tried a mouthful of each but the meat is very very dry, hard to chew and tasteless. Had to throw away. Won’t be ordering again.

Absolutely disgusting product. Faked into thinking it's close to Beef Jerky or Billtong but closer to sawdust. How this is considered edible I have no idea. Avoid and just buy Billtong!
Personally I wasn’t a fan of the taste. Difficult returns policy and hmu helpful customer service. M-Eat offer a similar product but better tasting and better customer service.

Surprisingly bad. Like most products now, I worry that a lot of the reviews are fake. I am like a dog and will pretty much eat anything that's put in front of me but I struggled with this product. I thought it would be something like jerky but it was crumbly and powdery and took all the moisture from your mouth. You'll need a good glass of water to get it down which isn't ideal when you're hiking/on the go. It needs some fat or something to keep it together and make it not so dry. I bought chilli flavour for reference as it has the lowest sugar content so maybe the other flavours are better? Who knows, I don't think I can bring myself to find out. Great marketing (I was duped), nice packaging/presentation, quick delivery but unfortunately eating one wasn't a great experience. I appreciate that it has very few ingredients compared to other high protein snack products etc but I think it would benefit from even just a small amount of extra fat to give it a better texture. I suggest looking on reddit, more of the reviews on this site etc etc before you purchase some and see what people are saying. I found that quite a lot of people have the same opinion as me.

I had wanted to try Roam bars for a while and got a free trial. Just had the salt and pepper flavour.
For me the taste is a lot like corned beef and not unpleasant however the bar is really dry and crumbles in your mouth sucking all the moisture from your mouth.
As a convenient almost natural no additive source of protein it gets a tick. For the price point and the texture I am just glad I got the sample and not a bundle.
Terrible, taste like dog food. Mum tried it and she wanted to be sick, such a shame.
Great product. I've tried a few different bars now including the beef, turkey and pork ones. The beef salt and pepper bars were a little dry (hence the 4 stars) but the turkey and pork bars are excellent 👌🏻. Still to try the other flavours of beef.
Highly recommend these as a great snack or to add to your meals (chopped up in a salad!) Ingredients are minimal and they are great for sticking to your macros.
Actually disgusting. I tried Mason's Meats' beef chips which were delicious so tried to branch out to Roam - my mistake. The bars were completely dry, tasteless and so overpriced. I had one from their "bestseller" selection box and gave the rest to my dog. Would really not recommend this over-advertised junk whose founders are clearly more focused on marketing than creating a good product.
Doesn't taste very good... Stick to Biltong or Jerky
Oh my Lord these are truly awful, worst thing I’ve ever eaten. A mixture of dog food and cardboard. DO NOT GO THERE
I am so disappointed in this company. I ordered a box of roam bars a couple of months ago which never arrived. They use Royal Mail for their deliveries who said they delivered my order. I think I paid about £20 if I remember rightly - quite pricy for the amount but i am an nhs nurse on a keto diet for health reasons and thought the bars would be perfect for long shifts at work. I assume the parcel was delivered to a different address. I contacted roam who followed it up and apparently made a claim with Royal Mail. I was asked to complete a form which I did and I have repeatedly contacted Roam to follow up as I’d like a refund or replacement for the order I placed but never recieved. They have today responded that the claim has been rejected and they will not refund or send a replacement perhaps not appreciating the fact that as an nhs nurse paying London rent I can’t really afford to waste money like that. I would have been a good customer I am sure and they should have either refunded me or sent me a replacement as a good will gesture. I never write reviews like this but I’m very disappointed as I think Roam sounds like a great company with interesting healthy products. Sadly I would not recommend based on this experience.

So… I’m a carnivore, so possibly a little bit biased… but I have to say, the option of a savoury protein bar was an absolute no brainier for me. And they taste brilliant, my favourite is the smokey paprika, cranberry & almond. But they all taste great… and the best thing: no nitrates, no nitrites, no phosphates, no preservatives, no added sugar! Six ingredients, all natural. Where else you gonna get that today?
A few poor reviews on here highlighting the poor taste or texture etc but its important to understand this is a 100% natural product, we are so used to processed 'taste good' food especially in convenient bars, i think it tastes amazing for a 100% natual grass fed food, i cant see how it could of been made better
Tastes really bad - I was excited to finally have a savory protein bar with no sweeteners but unfortunately didn’t hit the spot
