Data pirates who publish your details…

Data pirates who publish your details, taken from a long deleted Linked In profile, without permission. They then refuse to remove it unless you provide government photo ID, so they can basically steal your identity. IMHO they should be shut down or even prosecuted. Disgusting operation. Amazing that with todays privacy laws, they can get away with this... Yuk!

Beware - RocketReach stole my data and sold it to other companies

Stumbled upon my profile on RocketReach and was shocked to discover all my personal data including personal phone numbers being sold to 3rd party companies!

I checked online and there's no way I listed this private information anywhere, it's not on google.

The question is how did the company obtain this info other than steeling it from my personal account records?

One of the biggest scams I have seen...

One of the biggest scams I have seen...

We started using RocketReach a year ago. Initially we were hopeful as the search is good and was very intuitive.

As I wanted my team to work with the product for a full year, I opted in for the annual plan at USD 745.

The confirmation email did not mention that it will auto-renew and the website did not provide us with any opportunity to opt-in or opt-out of auto-renewal.

After three months we realized that the data quality i.e. email addresses and phone numbers gathered were not of high quality.

The vast majority (around 95%) of emails bounced. The emails were fake.

We stopped using the product and my team must have cancelled the subscription.

Anyhow, a few days ago, without any prior update they just renew our annual subscription.

All other services inform you update an upcoming renewal, RocketReach does not.

When trying to cancel the service they make it very hard - way more than the two clicks demanded by EU regulations - and also threaten you to lose access to the service already paid for. I have screenshots to prove that.

I have filed multiple complaints with them and also with PayPal whom I used as payment.

I would urge you to keep your fingers from that service... it is a huge scam. Unfortunately we fell for it, I hope you do not.

Has anyone tried to take legal action…

Has anyone tried to take legal action against this company? They steal personal data and publish it without permission, which is a huge GDPR breach. I have just requested them to remove my data immediately or I will definitely take legal action against them.

All my ex-LinkedIn Account information…

All my ex-LinkedIn Account information has turned up on RocketReach. I put my information on LinkedIn in good faith, I did not expect it to be 'scraped' and end up on another website where it is sold! I closed my LinkedIn account months ago. I have requested RocketReach twice to erase the information. I can't do it via their form as I don't know the RocketReach profile or LinkedIn URL as I do not have accounts with either platform. Fed up with all the unsolicited e-mails from companies in the USA and UK. If I could give no stars for the experience I would have.

Terrible website who steals personal data

Terrible website, steals personal data then publishes it publicly without permission. Anybody can see your personal data and if you want more they will sell it to you! They don't make it easy or allow you to remove information either. This website should be taken down and should be illegal or what's the point of GDPR.

Disgusting practices of connecting…

Disgusting practices of connecting personal data from all over the internet and build a profile. I have never consented to any of this data to be shared with RocketReach and definitely not for them to give it away to others.

Breaking privacy laws!!!

Why are you publishing our company phone number? I asked you twice to remove it, no response. You didn't get our permission to publish anything involving our company. Perhaps a lawyer will be able to get your attention.

Difficult to cancel subscription

Difficult to cancel subscription. Removes all token straight away, not at end of month, that paid for! Horrible customer support. Must be a fun place to work, getting paid to tell customers to go screw themselves.

False advertising

Signed up, directed me to someone with a totally different name, retyped the name and then it said I was out of searches and have to pay for this 'free' service. Clearly there just collect your data.

Published my personal information…

Published my personal information without my consent.

You have to register on their platform before you can request to remove your own personal information. Blatantly lying that they care about your privacy. They care as much as a serial killer cares about your safety.

My personal information including my photograph should not be in the public domain. Yet RocketReach has left it there and does not provide a way for me to remove it without jumping through hoops.

Personal data published without consent

Personal data published without consent.

What a useless company!! They have taken peoples private data, stored it and then displayed it on their website without their consent. If someone gives Linkedin their consent to store and publish their information it doesn't automatically mean they gave RockerReach consent.
To remove your account they want me to "claim my profile" to remove it which I simply refuse since I didn't create the profile in the first place.

Data thieves and modern day pimps

Data thieves and modern day pimps. Selling data without my permission and manipulating the profile so it can never be claimed but they acquire more data when you try. I feel like the stalk to acquire without consent and are a fraud potential nightmare!!!! Abuse of the World Wide Web on a global scale that can prove life changing with the data they freely take and give and I know mine was stolen from linked in as that was bad enough to close and remove.
