Just got it today

Just got it today, Looks impressive!....Great Construction, Was wondering about why the Porta Filter is not 100% in line with the center of the ROK....If it is not supposed to, then no problems...If it isn't, then we may have an issue....Overall, the Product looks great. Hope you realize I bought 2 of these...

Hope this arm lasts 🤞

Happy to the replacement arm quite quickly, but disappointed by the expensive postage (brexit and fast postage likely responsible, though). Now the fasteners for the gasket are broken - one head is shredded, the other had a head break off (third party fastener). Now I’m not sure if I can fix it. So the idea of a machine that could last a lifetime seems to have hit a snag...

Service from ROK was exceptional

Service from ROK was exceptional. Communication from making the original order through delivery of the product was better than any other entity I can think of.
The espresso maker arrived intact and with all advertised components.
My criticism is limited to two minor details:
The first is that this machine requires pre-heating in order to get good extraction. Definitely worth the extra work, but still...
The second is regarding the tamper/scoop thingy. The scoop just doesn’t do a good job cleanly filling the portafilter. The tamper is just plain cheap. It’s plastic.
Otherwise I am delighted to own this machine.

I bought the grinder and espresso machine and am very happy with the purchase. It's a great experience making your own coffee manually from bean to cup, and any concerns I had about the quality of the coffee were unfounded. The items are well made and stylish as well.

I bought some consumables to service my ROK and in the process managed to snap one of the bolts on the bayonet. Amazing service from ROK, they sent me a new body and bayonet and got me back on my daily espresso. Exceptional service, thank you ROK.

Excellent upgrade

I recently bought the GC upgrade kit along with a naked portafilter. The GC kit really does allow the right pressure for good espresso. the naked portafilter gives me a much easier idea of whether I am under or over extracting. I've found that 14g of beans is the best dose size for this machine. I also use the Sage Pro grinder which I find a lot more consistent and time efficient to get the grind dialled.

A Must have

To be honest, it's probably the best value for money to get a good coffee. Since 2015, i've been making 2 coffees every lunch for me and my dad, it's become our little ritual. More than a coffee maker, ROK is a experience. I use a pod coffee maker for caffeine and a ROK for the pleasure of good coffee.

ROK upgrades

I have been an early onboarder of the ROK and while I use it daily I was not impressed by the quality of the espresso. In my last attempt to stick with it before forking over thousands of dollars on a suitable pump machine I bought the chamber upgrade kit, beech tamp, and funnel. These upgrades have been more then worth their dollar in the quality of the equipment and I should have done this along time ago. The tamper fits well in the baskets and the grounds funnel cuts down on the mess when loading from my niche. I am very very impressed that these small changes made such huge upgrades in shot quality and I can assure you I will be using my ROK far longer then I anticipated before upgrading to a prosumer home machine and I am also no longer interested in any of the flair products as your upgraded unit is on par with the quality I have tasted from them at far lower prices.

Rok advocate from way back and on my 2nd Rok Espresso. Upgraded to GC and grinder. Recently bought the Crema Plus kit and the Dosing Funnel. Only niggle is why does nothing fit? The tamper is too small for the portafilter, the Crema Plus kit doesn’t fit properly in the portafilter and the Dosing Funnel doesn’t fit on the Crema kit. I make coffee throughout the day and it is a bit annoying.
