Even though I’m based in Scotland and Roofmaker are around five hours away, Stella was brilliant at arranging a visit as quickly as possible. The motor had worked perfectly for almost 10 years before... See more

Professional service and great customer care
From first meeting Roof Maker at the Exel exhibition they came across as professional and transparent, listening to my needs and not just trying to sell. The products that I purchased were great quality and manufactured promptly and delivered on time. The pricing was good value. I was really impressed with the flexibility when modifying my order as my project progressed and this showed that the company cared about the customer.
Two roof lanterns
Ordering the two roof lanterns was straightforward and there were no delays in delivery. Their own driver came on the day as arranged and everything arrived in good condition. The larger roof lantern was put up first and was perfect but when the tradesmen started putting the second one together we realised there was a problem with the size of the hip profiles, they were too long. I immediately telephoned Customer Services. They requested photographs and measurements and these were supplied. It took a few days for them to action replacement parts so almost 2 weeks in total but once we had them it all fitted together. I would have liked to have been contacted during this time to keep me updated, but I kept phoning them to find out what was happening, so communication from them could have been better. I think Customer Services should had put me through to speak directly to someone on the Production Team at the outset because some of the information I supplied to Customer Services failed to reach them which could have resulted in further delays.
Amari Johnson, Operations Support Coordinator, was very helpful in sorting out some final details once the replacement parts arrived and apologised for the error and consequent delay we had experienced.
The roof lanterns transform the entrance hall with the light and height they add and the framework is very low profile which is important because the hallway is quite narrow.
Very poor customer service
Unfortunately, we’ve had a very poor experience with Roof-Maker. They installed a skylight in our bathroom in London during summer 2024, and since then, we’ve experienced repeated technical issues due to failing motor components. Each time, it has taken weeks for them to send an engineer to resolve the problem.
At some point, the skylight became stuck wide open, leaving our flat exposed to rain. This was a clear emergency. Yet, after spending two days trying to reach costumer service, we were told that no one could attend before two weeks. The reason is always the same: “We’re based in Leicester and cannot come to London at short notice.” Why sell and install products in London if you’re unable to provide timely support when urgent issues arise?
Eventually someone came to unblock the skylight. But more than a year after the installation, our rain sensor is still not working and we are still waiting for technical support.
Given the number of technical failures and the consistently poor response, we would strongly advise others against purchasing from Roof-Maker.
Avoid, buy a Velux.
Very poor company to deal with in terms of after sales customer service.
We reached out to them 9 days ago when we found two units had a blown seal and were misting up. We keep getting advised that someone will get back to us, but nobody ever does; having read other reviews on here, this seems to be a pattern.
They advertise on their website that the units come with a 20yr warranty.
Beware, the warranty says you will have to buy the replacement units first and pay delivery, and then remove the faulty units (which are glued in with tubes of sealant) at your cost and hope you do not damage them further whilst taking them out, and send them for inspection before they will refund you.
I am a builder, I will no longer be recommending this company, just go with Velux.
Leebaan provided great support
Leebaan was so helpful from the first call. Once the rooflights were ordered he continued to help and provide support to my delivery queries. An all round 5 star service.
Great service!
Joanna has been so helpful on our most recent order with Roofmaker and we have been so pleased with our experience in the past. Communication was prompt and clear and the whole order was handled smoothly from start to finish.

Fast efficient service - nice to deal with a professional who knows what hes talking about.
Excellent Company to work with!!
Placed an order for two 4m x 1.7m Orangery Canopies at the Homebuilding and Renovating Show last year after looking at probably six other manufacturers exhibiting at the show. Certainly Roof Maker were streets ahead of all the others in the show. Got a really good deal at the show and just about to fit the two Canopies during our extension build. All through the ordering process both Paresh Mistry, Business Manager and Abbs Jamal, Sales Agent have given excellent and really helpful advice and assistance. Now really looking forward to receiving the Canopies which Roof Maker are going to fit for us. Roof Maker seem to be an excellent Company with knowledgeable staff and, I must say, probably the best quality product on the market today, and that is after considerable research of products available.
First impressions Roofmaker
First impressions, A great product and from an initial sales perspective they were helpful and prompt.
Two Luxlite roof lights with integrated blinds were duly ordered, received and fitted.
Since fitting we have nothing but issues and over a year later we have roof lights where the blinds have never worked.
Despite several attempts at speaking to them directly from both myself and our electricians, they have been useless.
Your requests will be past from pillar to post with no follow ups or detailed feedback provided from videos we have sent in. Again, zero response.
I would not recommend this company and we are now in position where we cannot control the light in bedroom spaces.
This is a premium product, with a premium cost and the after sales service should simply be much better.
This review is provided from an architectural and interiors studio and we cannot recommend Roofmaker to any others.

Avoid this company - terrible customer service once they have your money
I had two electric skylight blinds installed by Roofmaker. Less than two years later they stopped functioning properly - they started shutting crooked / skew / not shutting / not opening.
I contacted Roofmaker by phone numerous times and they (Emma, Stella) said they’d get back to me but didn’t. Emails went unanswered. Eventually Dom said that if I removed them and sent them back they’d get the manufacturer to look at them. The blinds were very difficult to remove so I had to get a builder in to do it. They’ve had the blinds for 3 weeks now and despite numerous phone calls and emails they cannot tell me what is happening. I’ve been promised countless times by Molly that someone will get back to me the same day but they never do.
I would avoid this company at all costs. As others have said, they’re very helpful until they have your money then there is a complete lack of customer service and I’ve spent thousands of pounds on blinds that I don’t have and have no idea what they are doing about it.

Joanna was lovely to deal with very helpful and knew the product well. Any questions I had she knew the answer straight away and went further to explain that and give me helpfully advice on fitting.
Thank you
Quick and easy to order
Quick and easy to order, haven't yet received the unit or installed yet so pending the actual window being good.
I've not been quick to jump into this…
I've not been quick to jump into this review, but I need to share my experience of Roof-Maker with whom I spent over £20k on Luxlite windows 2/3 years ago. I've tried so many times to get issues resolved but it's almost impossible to get Roof-Maker to send someone out to site. They'll fob you off on the phone and then ignore your emails. On more than one occasion we've had failing motor issues with the windows. We ended paying £500 for a pair of new motors (supply only... they wanted to charge another £500/day for an engineer) for a single window, but still had issues. The latest issue was last autumn when our Childs bedroom window jammed open. One motor failed and simultaneously the chain on the other motor buckled dangerously. Roof-maker had been no help at all by this point so we had a local electrician do his best to get the window closed for the winter. A year on from this I reached out again to Roof-Maker to ask for an engineer to bring two motors and fix the window. I spoke to a lady called Stella who seemed to want to help - which was refreshing - however, I've been completely ignored by her for four weeks now. After she gave me her email and told me email photos of the issue, I haven't heard back. I've sent a follow up email each week since just in case my first email was missed, but nothing. I'm completely done with this cowboy company and their lack of post-sale service. Save yourself the hassle and use a different company. If anyone wants a more detailed breakdown of my contact over the years with them then I'd be happy to share.

Great customer service
Stella was amazing, went out of her way to help us in resolving our issue. She came out twice with engineers to make sure work was completed, even though it was not her department or role
I purchased a skylight from Roof-Maker…
I purchased a skylight from Roof-Maker Ltd on 02/09/2024. Less than a year later, on 26/06/2025, one of the motors failed, leaving the skylight unable to open properly.
Since then, I have repeatedly contacted the company to get the fault resolved. Despite numerous emails over the course of more than 10 weeks, I have had no meaningful response or resolution. At best, I received occasional holding replies promising that the issue would be “escalated” or that the team was “dealing with a backlog.” But no one from Roof-Maker has ever actually followed through to repair or replace the faulty unit.
The lack of after-sales support has been appalling. For a premium purchase, you would expect a basic level of customer service and warranty support within the first year of ownership. Instead, I have been left with a faulty product and no accountability from the company.
I have had to contact customer services who state that they have had an influx of enquiries over the summer, blaming this on the reason they have not got back to me. If they have upscaled to the extent that they cannot keep up with the after-sales customer support, they need to rethink their business model.
If you are considering Roof-Maker, be aware: the sales process is smooth, but once they have your money, their customer service is non-existent. I would strongly advise avoiding them until they can demonstrate they support their products properly after sale.

Tilly had a very pushy rude tone and when she couldn’t understand me it sounded like she was frustrated. This is not customer service. When I called back joanne answered and she sounded very patronising in wanting the money. They are so expensive for bad quality products and a bad customer service experience.
