The Harkness nursery had its origins in 1879 in Yorkshire, soon becoming well-known as a grower of top quality roses. It was 80 years later that Jack Harkness began breeding new varieties in Hitchin, determined to create new and ever-more beautiful roses. Today, Harkness Roses are known & grown world-wide; we believe their reliability, flowering performance and beauty are second to none.

I was slightly disappointed at the state of the packaging box and therefore 2 broken stalks on the rose on receipt

Absolutely shocking experience. Ordered a rose for a special golden wedding anniversary. Paid extra to have it delivered on a certain day. Did not arrive. Could get no information from the company or their distributor. It was delivered the next day when we were not at home. Needless to say when we arrived home several days later after the anniversary celebration, the rose was not on the doorstep. I wrote to the company and got a shocking email back, essentially blaming the consumer. They also offered to send a replacement rose. Several weeks later, I’m still waiting for this. Would not use this company again and would not recommend it to anyone. Please stay away. A wonderful family celebration and milestone was ruined. This is a genuine review from a genuinely unhappy customer.

Disappointed.
The rose was a gift (80th birthday). It had a few yellow leaves on it on arrival. Now covered in black spot. The recipient is not happy. I am embarrassed to have given it as a gift.

Simple Gold. My existing group were the best performers through this summers drought, so I've bought 2 more. Potted roses arrived quickly and in excellent condition and have now been planted.
Looking forward to a great display next summer.

My first and last experience using this company unfortunately. I purchased a memorial rose and was informed the reason I didn't recieve confirmation was because the email didn't match the order in your system, strange when I log on to your system is shows the correct email which matches the enquiry. The second excuse was my order didn't come through even though I have an order number. I was assured any money would come back to me as the order wasn't placed. Money has been taken and I've raised this as dispute! Very disappointing. Order ref WR 214797

A fantastic selection, enabling me to select the perfect personalised gift for a friend’s special birthday. Packaged beautifully for a gift and delivered as planned just before her big day. It couldn’t have been easier for me, living a few hours away, as all I had to do was pick her gift and pay online. Would highly recommend!

Kept informed and delivery on time. One rose delivered was damaged in delivery, although initially packed well. Emailed a photograph to Harkness, they looked at it and sent a replacement after confirming the damage. The replacement rose was great, my only concern was with the delivery company and following the instructions on the package, which was more than adequate. No complaints with Harkness the good roses received were great 👍. Will use the company again. My delivery company comments were passed on to them and they assured me they are very careful, but they were not with our first delivery.
Harkness were excellent though.
