After trying Duolingo for my son's Spanish lessons, I felt he needed something more accurate (soo many bugs on that app!) but with less pressure. He is really enjoying Rosetta Stone, especially having... See more

I wish there were printouts so my son can review the lessons he studied this week.
No printable materials
I did purchase the homeschool version of Rossetta Stone American English full set. The product information did include printable workbooks with activities designed for kids.
These printables did work with older version of Rossetta. Now they are no longer related to the current set of resources.
In the printables you find units, lessons and worksheet # but in the current Rossetta you find weeks and days.
My question was how to correlate unit, lesson and worksheet # to days and weeks. The answer was that the printables are no longer supported. I was dissapointed since this was the reason why I choose the product.
Great app for my Kindergarten kid.
If you’re thinking about it, just do it
The one time lifetime charge for unlimited languages sold me! I have been doing the app every day since getting it and I LOVE it!!

I am enjoying learning through Rosetta Stone. Love the pronunciation portion of the lessons.
Amazing product
Amazing product. My child love working through the program. We are excited that she get to learn more than one language.
Excellent!
Excellent! Rosetta Stone is easy to use and engaging. I've had a great time learning a new language.
Rosetta Stone is pretty good, but...
I really like Rosetta Stone, but there is one problem. They give full sentences instead of telling you what it means first. That is, you have to guess what it means instead of practicing. Maybe to make it better you can give the definition of the word in the speaker's language, then they can practice it and know what the whole sentence means.

The whole family is enjoying learning a new language!
Okay, but misses the mark.
For one thing, there is no difference between the supposed school edition and the regular version that I demo-ed on the free trial. I think the inferences required to get the missing pieces of the lesson are just beyond the reach of my 11 y.o. and I often have to fill in the blanks. Supporting materials are a bit sparse, and I've made flash cards to help, as a single exposure to a word isn't enough to remember it (the expectation with the R.S. program). Pronunciation and audio aspects seem quite good, although the speaking back function misses errors frequently and regularly can't recognize correct responses (or even any responses) for certain sounds. I think the program has good bones, but needs refinement and better adaptation for learners at different levels/aptitudes.

The program is easy for my daughter to use. There’s an issue where is says my screen size isn’t large enough and sometimes my daughter has to shout. Those are my only reasons for four stars. She loves the program and is definitely learning already!

Customer Services Refused to Help
I was screwed over and after speaking with multiple 'representatives' I was basically told I'm stuck with what I have. Horrible customer service. I have THREE kids that need to use rosetta stone. But only ONE profile can be created. I paid the lifetime fee, and no one can seem to help me get the right package, the family one, so that I can have multiple users. Products need to be clearly advertised to show only ONE user per account. I made my issue clear in less than 24 hours of my purchase when I realized it was for only one user. No one cared to help.

I wish there would be writing exercises. Perhaps there are later on; I deliberately chose a lower level so that I could review my vocabulary but found that I needed to switch to the intermediate level, which is still pretty basic.
Finally, no one says nous Somme’s Lundi, or samedi, or any day of the week. That phrasing is outdated; you should consider updating your program to reflect this.

So far it's a piece of cake but there should be a text to explain the grammatical reasoning such los, Las, Nada and Nadan ect.
Second Language during COVID
We are still in the first week of Rosetta Stone but so far so good. We paid for the three month package to help our high school son. Most collages require two years of a second language. Learning a second language is challenging enough but this year with remote learning due to COVID it adds additional stress. We are thankful that this is available to us.
