The experience is so bad

The experience is so bad, last month our team unable to get salary, we received one month late. Using Ruul will cause not only financial issue but also employee retention issue. This month, new issue occur, after the payment already delay, needs our team to find out ourselves, no any notice in advance to tell us update bank information and we got this kind of poor reason for payment delay. The overall is so bad

Account problems: The RUUL team always responds with prompt and efficient solutions

I recently encountered an issue while performing updates in my account on RUUL regarding my banking information, but I was pleasantly surprised by their team's prompt and efficient assistance. Because I was unable to perform the change in my information, they arranged it in no time. My issue was resolved in under 5 minutes.
I must commend the team for their impressive response time in addressing my concerns. In the past, I have utilized the online chat extension, and once again, it proved to be immensely helpful with its swift and reliable responses.

Took a long long long time for the…

Took a long long long time for the invoice to be processed. May 11th to almost May 25th.

Update: I used Ruul once before the recent one and had no issues. Updating the review to 3 stars but in the future I will give better reviews for sure.

The invoice was created on the 11th, but the customer payment reached us on the 15th.

Your payment was also issued on the same day, but due to a problem in the intermediary banks, it was returned to us and processed again.
Our standard payment time is 1 business day. In cases that exceed this period, please do not hesitate to contacting us.

We apologize for this delay due to reasons beyond our control, and convey that all precautions have been taken to prevent it from happening again.

I've been using this platform for my consultancy services

Inaccurate and misleading info about self-employment compliance

I asked a question about how compliance was provided on social media and the company blocked me. Later, I contacted the live assistance and the personnel could not give me accurate answers and said 'self-employed people do not need an entity' and can be contracted with Ruul without having a company. This is wrong. I don't believe that this company knows about the legal requirements of freelancing at all. I was advised to invoice without an entity and it turns out that this is not legal. Self-employment does require corporation or some sort of tax registration.

* Company still insists that self-employed can be contracted without having legal entities in its answer below and does not reply to my emails. I do not trust this provider and wouldn't recomment anyone to use this invoicing service. This looks like a total scam to me.

In our chat logs, we can see that your question was "How is it compliant to invoice without a company?". To underline our answers in our Live Chat conversation; Ruul is positioned as a digital service reseller. When you register to Ruul, you authorize us to sell your services to businesses. This means that you won't be invoicing companies directly, as Ruul invoices businesses on the talent's behalf.

We take any claims regarding the legality of our operations very seriously. We would like to emphasize that it is perfectly legal to be self-employed without having a business entity. Moreover, we do not claim to manage any of our users' local tax responsibilities on their behalf. We advise you to look into your local laws regarding tax regulations of self-employed professionals.

Ruul's bank account info is false…

Ruul's bank account is not currectly linked and setup for bank-payments. My Bank (Rabobank), gives a message that the bank-info and beneficiary is not correctly listed. As a result they block the payment. I've asked Ruul to fix this, but that experience was all but professional. As a result you end up paying unnecessary creditcard fees (as you don't want your people to bear the consequences). Then customer service tells you there is no issue :-|. Hahaha. This company does not understand the impact poor performance of their service has on any business owner dealing with them. I would not recommend this service and will start looking into alternatives myself.

Their service is perfect for…

Their service is perfect for freelancers. I have been using their service since 2021. The customer support is very responsive and focusing on problem solving. They are always polite and make it everything easier for me. I wish I could give 10 stars.

Trustworthy Invoicing

I've been using Ruul for 7 months now, They excel at:

1- Trust: I can totally trust my invoice will get paid and money will be transferred successfully
2- Great support: I needed human support 2 times, and their support was very fast, helpful, and clear about things I wanted.
3- Easy: the website itself has made the minimum needed UI that can direct you immediately to your goal, I like using website that do one thing in a very professional way.

I'd totally recommend it for invoicing specially for countries in Middle-east where their commission rate would be the lowest possible.

Unhelpful and rude customer support

I used the customer support chat and was contacted by Onur. I had trouble aligning Ruul's service with my country's local laws and tax obligations, which is why I decided to ask some questions about it. After the first few messages, Onur failed to answer my concerns directly and instead replied with semi-relevant messages which seemed to be pre-written. Because of that, I tried to word my questions more specifically, which was met by several passive-aggressive responses, also not particularly answering my questions. The conversation ended with Onur telling me not to worry about my concerns without actually telling me why. Later, upon further, individual research, I found out that the information he gave me was most likely false. I understand if there are certain matters customer supporters are unable to answer, especially if they regard local regulations, however, in that case, I expect a response to reflect exactly that instead of vague and evasive answers.

Following your feedback, we immediately contacted you via email to address your concerns on tax compliance regulations in your country. We also sent you a follow-up email after checking with our Compliance department to provide you accurate information.

At Ruul, we ensure compliant invoice payouts to talents. When you sign up and get paid via Ruul, you are classified as a subcontractor for Ruul, entering a compliant financial relationship.

For tax obligations that arise from the payments you collect, as we state on our website, talents are responsible to declare their income and handle any liabilities in line with the local laws applicable to them.

We recognize the demand from solo talents such as yourself to receive support for navigating local tax obligations. Our Tax Assistance solution for this purpose will initially be launched in selected regions soon. Unfortunately, at the moment, this service is not available in Hungary and we cannot provide further expertise related to your regional tax responsibilities.

In your first point of contact, Onur from our Customer Success department has tried to help you with good faith with his knowledge, and after checking with our Compliance department, we have suggested that you consult with a local tax expert to stay compliant with regard to tax and income declaration.
