When I bought my currency online you didn’t ask for any form of identification and was happy to take my money. An email was sent with a reference no but I didn’t have my passport on me but I did have a photograph of it on my phone which I would of thought would of been suffice and I also had a bus pass that has my ID on it I just think a bit of common sense could be used in this situation kind regards Kevin Clements

As a Money Service Business in the UK, we're governed by HMRC regulations which require us to verify identification for transactions to help protect both our customers and our business. Our website and confirmation emails outline the minimum identification requirements, and unfortunately we're unable to accept photographs of ID as a substitute for the original document.
We appreciate that this was disappointing and thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

Nothing wrong with the currency…
Nothing wrong with the currency exchange or the service. I am just flabbergasted that after buying such a large quantity of currency online, coming in-store to collect, I am greeted by the teller explaining that if I want to exit their shop with that amount of money discretely, I now have to PURCHASE a paper wallet. Whatever will it be next. Extremely disappointed!

The 25p wallet charge is part of a nationwide scheme to help reduce our paper usage. The charge covers the cost of the wallet, and 40% is donated to Just One Tree, a registered Community Interest Company (Reg. 12067406).
