Brilliant

Called for advice and Paul was super helpful and full of knowledge. Paul advised me on the best insoles for me and what I was experiencing. I had looked around and saw got some quotes that were unaffordable but then found Salford insoles who are very affordable. They are super comfortable and have literally changed my life. I’m pain free when working moving around, will probably get a spare pair for convenience

Good insoles, but cumbersom in walking boots

I bought these insoles because I have osteoarthritis in my knee. The walking is more comfortable, and I wear them in my walking boots. The only problem is that the soles are rubber and make it impossible to slide my feet in walking socks in my boots easily. The socks are not taught underneath my feet and it takes a lot of pulling on the socks to straighten it out, so I wish the material was smoother, especially when wearing in walking boots. If you did insoles in a smoother material, I would definitely buy another pair.

Thank you for your review! The surface will become smoother over time. The material that the device is made from was formulated to have certain mechanical properties - unfortunately, changing the texture would adversely affect these essential properties. We experimented briefly with top covers, but they drastically shorten the life of the device as they start to smell and come away from the surface. We have several thousand people wearing these insoles for knee OA, but this isn't the first time the same comment has been made.

Return policy is a LIE

Thank you for the reply.
So is it a 60 day free returns policy on all items ???

Website says 60 day return very clearly but then when you read the small print it's 14 days.

I hope they reply to this review with an explanation

Dear Ritz O. I can’t find any correspondence between us, but I’m sure you’re savvy enough to know that (in any store), the most favourable terms displayed will legally apply and that is the case with us. We offer, clearly, as you have stated, a more preferable trial period of 60 days on most products, over the legal 14 day return period that all online sellers are obliged to offer. We do this particularly where we have given advice on the suitability of these medical products. If you have indeed purchased anything, you will not have any correspondence from us saying that you are held to 14 days where we have clearly displayed (and continue to display) a 60 day trial offer.

Is this a review of an experience that you’ve had with us? Our response above states that it applies to most products, not necessarily all. Where displayed, most people would understand that this was a legally binding commitment on our part under consumer law. The most beneficial offer made cannot be undermined by “small print”. We don’t offer a free return (and don’t pretend to) - any returned items would be posted back to us at the buyer’s cost, although their initial payment would be refunded in full. That is a legal requirement. If this is a review based on an actual experience with our company in which there has been some dispute that made you accuse us of lying, please do contact us with any relevant information at info@salfordinsole.com and I’d be happy to share the experience on here.

Only 14 days return window

Podiatrist told me to buy these insoles and that there was a 60-day returns guarantee. However, they arrived with only a 14-day return. I tried them a couple of times and didn't get on with them. I was too worried about missing the return window to try them further. Maybe I would have got used to them. Podiatrist was disappointed to hear that the returns policy isn't what the website states predominantly (the 14 days is only shown if you go to look at the returns policy).
UPDATE following response below. Here is the website returns info. It makes states clearly that there is only 14 days. I did make contact, as required, and was not offered any longer, but I didn't ask as the info was so clear:
Returns and Refunds Policy
We will try our very best to help you make an informed purchase from Salfordinsole.com, but we are more than happy for you to return items if you feel they are unsuitable.
We have a 14 day return period (not just working days), calculated from the day your delivery arrives with you and during which we would ask you to contact us either by email on *** or by telephone on 02476 939915 if you want to return an item.

Dear Kew. Did you contact us directly to enquire about our returns policy? We do offer a 60 day returns window and have never imposed a 14 day window, so our apologies if the way this is stated is at all confusing. The 14 day window is mentioned as it is UK consumer law that anything purchased unseen (i.e. online) can be returned within 14 days. We extend this to 60 days, particularly where people might be trying something based on our advice or recommendation. All that said, you would know within a day or two if insoles are having either a positive or negative effect on your desired outcome. Please feel free to contact us at info@salfordinsole.com

Excellent.

Excellent.

I suffer from foot pain caused by over pronation, exaggerated by high volume running and cycling. After spending a lot of money on ineffective custom insoles from podiatrists I decided to try what looked to be a too good to be true low cost option (The Salford Arch Support Insole). They worked!

3 weeks later I’m now pain free and feel great. Comfortable, simple, great arch support and low cost. I’ll be ordering another 2 pairs for my other shoes.

Awful cheap rubber souls

Awful cheap rubber souls. Don't be fooled by 'used by nhs'. Only reason NHS uses these is they are cheap but even so sold with a massive mark up. They should be 99p. Such cheap rubber they give blisters, didn't help with my bunion. Waste of time / money and now have a blister to show it. Don't waste your money on these. Tried to contact for a return but no response.

Dear Mike. Sorry to hear that the insoles haven’t worked out for you. I can’t work out your order details from your post and also can’t find your contact attempt(s). You’re most welcome to a refund if you wouldn’t mind trying again on info@salfordinsole.com or calling on 02476 939915. Any advice you have on conducting research, manufacturing (in the UK), advertising, informing and delivering medical devices, all for 99p, would also be very welcome. Your comment about the NHS, which suggests that it prioritises price over efficacy, doesn’t align with our experience.

Following an accident with a chainsaw I…

Following an accident with a chainsaw I was left with a badly damaged left leg,the tendons to the three outside toes were cut and my achilles tendon was severed.Following surgery I made a good recovery but also ended up with the outside of my foot dropping which resulted in considerable knee pain. I am a keen walker and this all really upset me more than the original accident. I did some research and called up Salfordinsoles and they were very helpful. The soles arrived and I put them in my walking boots and straight away I could feel the difference, within a week all the pain had gone and now I am back to walking in the mountains again as if I had never had an accident. Totally brilliant, thanks for a great product.

Complete game changer

These insoles have absolutely saved my shins. I suffered from shin splints for years and nothing seemed to work. I bought 3 pairs 4 years ago and have not been without them since and have just ordered some more so that I don't have any shoes without them!
At first the insoles feel uncomfortable but after a week of wearing them, my shin splints completely went and there was no pain at all. If I ever forget to put the insoles into shoes, I end up is huge pain by the end of the day, the insoles make such an amazing difference.
The fact that they are plastic and washable is also a huge bonus too.

Game Changing Insoles

Purchased the insoles for hallux rigidus and they have been a game changer. I have no pain in my big toe when wearing them and have even tested this by wearing shoes without them. So happy I found them.

I bought a pair of these insoles for flat feet, I have worn them for a few days , I now have pains under my arch and for the first time in my life( I’m 88) I have pains under in my heels.

Dear Bilstan
Sorry to hear that you’ve had such a negative experience. It does rather sound as though you don’t need insoles – these are made from a foot cast and are clearly too supportive for your needs. You are very welcome to return them – I can’t actually find an order in your name, but please feel free to contact us at info@salfordinsole.com for details.

Their return policy is a lie

Bought up a pair of insoles but they were unsuitable, wrong size. I tried to take them up on their 60 day return policy but they have not replied my emails or my phone calls. Every time I have called them it goes straight to voicemail. Eventually I sent the soles back in their original packaging back to them, in the hope of getting a refund, but have not heard anything. So I am out £29.99 and the cost of postage to send them back, which was £3.95. So I’m out of pocket to the sum of £33.94. What a shame. Do not buy from this company as their return policy is not worth anything.

After I wrote this review the company refunded me the cost if the soles. But it should not take 5 weeks of chasing them and a bad review to make them refund me.
