Just more of the same horrible health treatment

I suscribed to Salu thinking I could get better care and help whenever sick, as my experience w/ public Estonian healthcare has not been great.

I had 2 bad experiences w. Salu.

On the first, I opened a sick leave after testing positive for influenza b. They were adding the sick leaves by day — however on the last day, they just never closed the sick leave and I lost half my salary. On top of that, I requested a doctor visit multiple times, and they only booked me one of day 7th (after not healing at all). The doctor then told me I should've taken antibiotics. 7 days I had to cry for a visit.

On the second, I had my wisdom tooth removed and the dentist cut my bone. I was in absolute agony, and was sent home w/ antibiotics and "ibuprofen". When I contact Salu, it took me about 2 days of further suffering to actually get a painkiller.

This service just feels like your regular 90 yo racist doctor but far more frustrating, because they purposely and repeatedly disregard your symptons while you're chatting. At least when you write to your doc, they never write back.

Worst customer experience ever with any…

Worst customer experience ever with any kind of service provider I have experienced! Waiting for a reply to an email takes on average a month, and if I get a reply the answers are so vague and not at all what I was asking about. Why I'm contacting them only via email? Because that's the only option they provide to talk to them.
Been wanting to subscribe to a health coverage plan for 2 months already and their support has not been capable to answer 3 simple questions before I commit to do so.

Subscription scam and useless

Subscription scam and useless! There is no button to cancel yearly subscription and it just renews. Apparently, one is supposed to send them an email to cancel that crap, and even after that they don't just do it, they ask you to confirm again.

As to services - absolutely useless. I really doubt people who answer chat have adequate experience. Their reply is basically to wait and watch every time. Had to refer to my family doctor after "consulting" with them several time to receive adequate medical advice.

Excellent alternative to a family doctor

Very convenient alternative to a family doctor, particularly for families with young children. The service provides prompt assistance even outside regular office hours, including evenings and weekends, ensuring reliable support when it’s most needed.

Excellent Service and Support from Salu!

I recently used Salu's online health services, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, the process was seamless. The platform is user-friendly, making it easy to book an appointment and access the care I needed. The healthcare professionals were knowledgeable, attentive, and took the time to listen to my concerns.

I was especially impressed by the quick response times and the ability to consult with a doctor remotely without the hassle of scheduling in-person visits. This has truly made managing my health more convenient, and I feel confident in the care I received.

A frustrating experience with a lot of spam.

The idea sounded great but turns out to be a frustrating experience with a lot of spam.
I signed up a few months ago to discover that by signing up you accept to receive promotional SMS and there is NO WAY to opt out from that. That's right. as long as you are paying for the service you will have to accept spam SMSs. I contacted the customer service several times but they really don't seem to care.

EDIT:
While they claim that they take marketing messages seriously, they really don't. After 3 written requests of being deleted from their database, and promise from their side that they will delete my contact, they still send me promotional SMSs.
And to be clear: PROMOTIONAL, unwanted, spam SMSs, not doctor answers as they claim in their answer. They really do NOT take this seriously, so beware.

To clarify, we send promotional SMS only around twice a year. However, you do receive SMS notifications every time a doctor responds to your queries, allowing you to continue your conversation without needing to stay by the screen.

Frustrating, very slow web chat "appointments"

Despite the glittering testimonials real-life experience of the service isn't good, it's frustrating and borderline dangerous.

The average response time is often 60 minutes to enter into a slow web chat. If a physical appointment is required then this is 2-3 days. So a fast, great, convenient service this is not.
We had a poorly 15-month-old with a high temperature. We were excited to put our Salu subscription to use to get quick help and access to a physical private doctor appointment if required.
After over an hour of web chat ((note not a dedicated online appointment), with very frustrating waits in between messages.), we were told we needed a physical appointment. Next, we were then informed we would be contacted the next day to arrange an appointment, not ideal with a poorly child.
No one contacts us the next day until we push for a response. We then get a call from someone unable to even locate the town we live in! (We had already provided detailed information including the address which this rep didn't even have access to!). We were then told to text the details to them. After complaining again we did get an appointment.
In retrospect queuing at the local public emergency doctors for hours to be seen by a doctor would have been our best solution, however, avoiding this exact scenario was why we decided to buy a subscription to Salu.

We thought we would get a premium service with fast access to help when needed. What you get is a slow, frustrating web chat with 2-3 day wait if you need an appointment. Perhaps the recent marketing push has created an issue where they need to recruit more doctors to get the service up to an acceptable level.
