I was directed to this site last year while trying to get support from Quicken. My files were corrupted and I had lost data. I had an old Quicken product so needed a new program, however I was pressured into buying a two year subscription. They assured me that I had 2 years of updates and technical service. I paid $400 for this and afterwards regretted my decision. Last week an update came from Quicken that I tried to install and things were botched up. I called Sane Accounting and after reviewing my program I was told that I had lost data and had caused the problem and they would give me $150 off of the support. I asked what the balance would be $300. I blew my cool and told the lady that was ridiculous as I was told that I had a 2 year contract. I would not pay a dime. She then lowered it to $150. I was so angry, I hung up the phone and disconnected the line. She called me back and told me a tech would connect with me and fix my problem for free. The tech did a great job but the initial contact was very bad. A bait and switch if you ask me. Will NOT be sending this company another dime. Why is Quicken forwarding these problems to a third party?

I was scammed. I'm going to contact an attorney who could help me figure out how to file criminal charges and a law suit against them.

While looking for the QuickBooks Support number I mistakenly clicked on a link to Sane Accounting's website. It was very deceiving as it is designed to look like an official QuickBooks site. Upon calling and discussing the issue with a representative, he requested access to control my screen which I gave. They use the same screen sharing company that QuickBooks uses, Rescue123.com. They certainly do this for deceptive purposes. After reviewing my issue the rep pulled up a screen with all the site code and highlighted the error messages. He claimed that these could pose a serious threat to my data and that if I didn't fix them I could lose my data. This doesn't make sense since QBOL should constantly back up my data on their servers. He claimed that due to the errors the servers could not connect to my data. I asked "How in the world did I pull up my data today if it wasn't stored on your servers?" He claimed that the only way to fix the problem was to open a tech support subscription. I said that QBOL has tech support included, that it has always been included, and that I wanted to talk to a supervisor. He said his supervisor was occupied but would call me in 30 minutes. They never called back. This is such a scam. I'm no dummy, but I'm ashamed that I fell as far down this rabbit hole as I did.

The issue has been fixed to my satisfaction.
