Communication about delays is nonexistent

I received a prompt response to my email requesting a refund and cancellation of my order. The order was cancelled and refund should reach my account this week. I do not think the company is a scam, it’s just the communication that is poorly managed - especially when it comes to delays. It’s such a shame as the products are lovely. The company should definitely invest more in their customer service. Even simple mass emails with a short update on their order once a week to customers who are still waiting would be appreciated.

Overall we made two orders from this company. The first order came in without issues.
Unfortunately, the second order we made in December for preordered items that were supposed to be shipped end of January still hasn’t arrived. It’s almost April. The communication about delays is non existent. I’ve tried to contact support about it recently and got no reply at all. I am not sure what to think, did we loose all the money we spent here? The cancellation policy states that we could cancel within 30 days which doesn’t make any sense for preordered items if another policy states that delays can happen, the only thing you can do is to accept it even if delay is 2 months + The thing is we truly wanted these items. They are good quality when (if) they eventually turn up. The lack of communication, no replies to emails is making this shopping experience rather stressful.
