Scarborough council making us all miserable again ! Overnight campervans ! Not interfering with anyone! Leave them alone you miserable lot!! This world is miserable enough without you lot making it more miserable!! 🤑

We came earlier as was written on a website-early booking. They told us that the room will be ready in the next 2h. Later we had family room of 4 where we had just 2 mugs. When asked for 2 more they given us 2 dirty glassess. Oh, the car park is free only from 6pm till 9am.

The only thing this lot ever do is ignore death threats drugs but will always make sure they get their council tax out of you even when you are dead. They make you pay for your own funeral as well.

I was walking in the town centre 31 October Halloween and noticed that they had put up the Christmas lights earlier than usual this year and what was weird was the Christmas lights were on plus the angel wings and stars were all upside down. Scarboroughthe world is so backward and confusing. It’s shows that there is no respect

Street lighting not working for old pensioners pathway in wintertime!! It will be 3 months before it gets repaired!!! I asked what to do in the meantime!! Use a torch was the answer!!!! What a sad sick world we live in!! 😭

This must be the worst council in the entire world.

If I could give them zero I would . Appalling misleading parking in Helmsley not in one area but all areas . Why ? Because it’s a money earner.

I am a 53 year old single parent ,I have a full time job but due to circumstances and the cost of living crisis ,I started to get a little overwhelmed by my debts and every day living do in August I applied for a taxi license on my application I stated I had a cu80 which is my only traffic offence in 10 years I do regret it and always stop to use the phone also when I was 19 I wentnto prison twice for dishonest crimes also disgusted with myself but not committed a dishonest crime since 1991 i have in the 5 months of this process had explain myself in person ,via email and most recently Friday 8 th December in front of councellors

No only have they known all the information from the start of the application they have arranged review board meeting in October which the cancelled in November which they cancelled without letting me know and eventually got to the 8th December where they asked me to go through ot all again which I did explaining I'm struggling with the cost of living crisis a single parent and the night before I became a grandad for the first time which I explain I needed extra cash to help them out as well as avoid putting Christmas on the credit I said I booked holidays from my full time job in social housing and got a glowing reference from my employer and after all this as calm and as uncaring as you like they said there process is there process snd refused me a licence deeming me not to be fit and proper to drive a taxi part even though in my full time role I am deemed fit and proper to enter the homes of the same people they are saying I ain't fit and proper to drive them
The sad thing is I believe the outcome was already known and they could of stopped it months ago
The councellors and the legal support are not fit for purpose they are ment to represent us yes I was a criminal 31 years ago but I stopped ive worked in social housing for 20 years fitting new kitchens and bathroom without one dodhey report and a lot of my days are spent driving my cu80 expired on th25 November and councellors did not care at all they had already decided the outcome

Bloody useless!!

Tried to park in Robin Hood's Bay car park - machine would not accept card or cash. Had to download Ringo parking app, which tried to take money from my bank before I'd even opened an account with Ringo. Fortunately my bank declined their request, but I then had to spend half an hour on my mobile persuading my bank not to cancel my card and send me a new one in 5 days, as I was at the start of a 2 week holiday away from home! Even more annoying - I'd checked online and was led to believe machine would take cash. A resident said they usually did...and must be faulty that day!

SBC are a world to themselves in SCARBOROUGH. The needs and wants of the residents outside of Scarborough are all but ignored. Parking in residential areas in Whitby is an issue which SBC ignore or at best do not attempt to address or improve.

There is not a day in the week where caravelles are parked in large numbers overnight in the West Cliff, Whitby area.

Dozens of cars and Caravettes are parked on the sea wall and Upgang Gorge, simply dumped for elongated periods. ALL despite the supposed restricted hours access at the entrance to the gorge.

BBQ fires, trash and mess spread about, A daily never stop situation. Residents care. The council don't .

Disgraceful council not fit for purpose. Should be shut down.

Why when you are parking in Scarborough is the fee for one hour £2.40 so people decide to opt for a extra hour not so you don't have that option it's either 1 hour or 3 at a disgusting £4.90 a child can see its designed to rob car owners .

The council do nothing just hide in there vans in the park doing nothing. Lie about any issues tory scum bags the lot of them they dont care about anything apart from getting rich from working class people .Take a look at the roads around maple drive its like the surface of the moon been like this years. Same all over scarborough they only fix roads on special events were they can get money from working people.

My daughter went to Scarborough
to visit, when she set off her car had a problem so she took mine, she paid at the machine and went to enjoy her visit. She returned to the car which had a parking ticket on it. She realised, She had put her own registration in, forgetting she had taken my car, When she got home and explained, I said it's a genuine mistake, you have paid, it will be OK.
How wrong I was they said she had to pay the fine. I think it is disgusting and I shall never visit that place again

I would like to thank the men who have made a great job to tidy the grass verges outside our house, 396 Scalby Rd!

Can someone,from SBC please explain their hypocrisy regarding PCN's in Filey please,it seems to me if you have a chat with a parking operative,you don't get a ticket.

I reported a suspected duplicate payment for car parking. I was called in person within five minutes, the matter was resolved in a hour, and received a follow up email. Well done Scarborough BC.

I just want to applaud Scarborough council and the highway department of a brilliant job that they've done on the new Stepney Road roundabout lighting system. I use it everyday it's much easier there is not the hold ups well done very impressed as it's one of the main arteries services near villages
