The front desk in Rockville MD treated…

The front desk in Rockville MD treated us like we were the scum of the earth. The person we were assigned to was supposed to get in touch with us in a week or so but after sending him 2 emails that went unanswered, I finally called him, He said he would call the next morning. He did not call until after 5 PM. He said we would call the next Monday to set up an in person meeting. I have yet to hear back from him. I am glad I did not transfer any money to them

I was trying to login today

I was trying to login today, the app would not let me login to my account, but diverted me to a medical alert option, I asked if there was some way to log in today, they said no. Then when transferring me, they disconnected me. So no service today at Charles Schwab. I would go back to TD Ameritrade if I could.

Their systems is a joke

Their systems is a joke. and app show different account value DAILY. vanish reappear randomly.

Estimated income ignores a major holding, making it useless. BullStahs. even they paid accurately-just took hours. Schwab can't track basic math.

Frustrating Customer Service Experience – Disappointed with Schwab

I expected better from a company like Charles Schwab. I was left on hold for over 6 minutes during a support chat, only to be told the agent was “talking to another department.” Then they disappeared again for another 5 minutes without any update or apology. When I expressed my frustration, I was met with vague responses and no real accountability.

I asked direct questions and even hinted at escalating the issue, but nothing seemed to prompt urgency or concern. It felt like I was being ignored or deprioritized. For a financial institution that’s supposed to value trust and transparency, this experience was anything but.

I’m seriously reconsidering my relationship with Schwab. If this is the level of service they provide, I worry about how they’d handle something truly urgent. Agent Anthony S.

I reluctantly was transferred to Schwab…

I reluctantly was transferred to Schwab when they purchased TD Ameritrade. TD Ameritrade has the best platform for investors called Think or Swim. This is the only reason why I stay with Schwab. I never know how much my accounts are up or down for the day and what my account value is because Think or Swim, their website and the app gives me all different values when my positions go ex dividend. They also do not pick up one of my high yielding positions on the estimated income tab, therefore giving me a false number. You would think after all these years that Schwab would have their act together. They suck!

I am absolutely convinced they have lost many people's funds with unrealistic promises. There is nothing that will stop me with PAIVA. They deliver exceptional service and hassle-free payments, making them the best alternative.

Closing an Estate

If there was a minus 3 that is what I would rate. Investing is they want your money. The problem comes when you want the money out. If this is from an inheritance, then just stand-by. The local offices have no idea how to proceed. They required all the documents and certificates, no problem. NOW they will assign an estate representative. They will give you the run around for the next 2 to 3 months. Then part of that is they will not take your call, if they respond to a message, it will be delayed. Then they will ask for more documentation of which they already have on file. They continue this do loop until they get tired of harassing you. Eventually they will send your funds to all parties which have all filed an individual application. If you know you are going to pass, get your money out. Otherwise make sure you pick an heir that is persistent and downright aggressive, and they will face an extended frustration.

Horrible bank

Horrible bank. Do not ever trust this bank. I rolled over my Roth IRA and requested them for a debit card. Chased them for 5 times . Each bank representative gave me a false answer . Even tho I transferred money into their brokerage account . they were not ready to initiate a debit card.i needed the card urgently for an international travel and Mike from the banking brokerage account was very uncooperative . not at all ready to initiate the debit card even tho I transferred the min amount into my individual brokerage account.

We had a terrible experience trying to…

We had a terrible experience trying to open a new rollover IRA for my wife. Our accounts are linked so their system kept trying to open an account in my name. Then there was an extended delay actually getting the account opened due to actual physical paperwork needed. Now, they claim the forms they provided my 15 days ago are now out of date. How are they still in business?

I was with TD Ameritrade for years

I was with TD Ameritrade for years. The integration with Schwab has been nothing but a nightmare. I had to open another account in 2024 and was denied the level to be able to trade spreads for Options multiple time even though I had authorization previously. I then closed my account shortly after. 1 year later Im wanting to use TOS for demo trades and I filled out an application, only for the account to be denied due to "business decisions"... What does that even mean?? I rarely leave reviews but this was a waste of my time and it's been a terrible experience.

6 months of getting jerked around to…

6 months of getting jerked around to open a Trust account. Never happened. Fill out application and they say it is wrong. Fix it. Still wrong. Fix something else. Now want more items sent. Sent them. They send emails asking for same thing 10 or 12 times. Every 2 weeks. Then finally gather info and then ask for more. Want entire Trust which Trust lawyer says no. Privacy issue. Finally say what was sent is OK. One more thing. Provide it. Get another email asking for what had been resolved. Then send email after 6 months of this to say application has expired and do it all over again (all 17 pages). And send original Trust. Avoid this company.
