There’s magic in Scrum Lake

It’s a little bit magic, how Scrum Lake draws you in and the exploration of principles, values, artifacts and roles unfolds.
The session is lightly facilitated, nee almost more of an encouragement and soon a lively discussion is underway. Regardless of your role or experience level, you will find treasures in Scrum Lake.

Fun, Informative Scrum Sessions

Week commencing 19th Feb 2024 I attended two, 2 hour Scrum Lake courses hosted virtually by John Albrecht. Both were an excellent bitesize view of what Scrum is, how to use it and more importantly how to keep looking at what you are doing and making improvements to make the team work better and keep adding increments of value. John was great at leading the groups and facilitating discussions. Would happily attend further courses if offered.

Great use of 2hours !

This workshop is of a very good price/quality ratio: joining with the right mindset, in those two hours you will get to learn something. You don’t know what beforehand as the group will provide the insights for the host to tailor the experience during the session, but you will learn. The host is experienced and the group is likely to also have some advanced scrum mastery skills.

The real agile experience

This is a unique training course, that anyone from the most experienced to an agile newbee would find enriching in their agile journey. Agile training & forum tend to be very theoretical but the scrumlake deep dive draws from the participants experience good & bad and builds on it ensure that it is the practical use of agile that is focused on.

Scrum Lake - a one-of-a-kind workshop

Scrum Lake is a one-of-a-kind workshop about Scrum. You can join several times and won't be bored. The way it's designed will make sure you get to share stories with other practicioners of Scrum and you'll actively work together on different exercises.

The participants decide what topic they want to dive into (pun intended), which makes the workshop very interactive. By using tools like Miro and Zoom, the 2h are passing by quickly as it's very engaging from start to finish.

Whether you're a Scrum Master or not, if you work in an environment where agility (be it with Scrum or not) is a topic, Scrum Lake will be of value to you.

In this workshop

In this workshop, I was surrounded by a group of serious professionals and I’m grateful for the connections I was able to make. But we had a blast. Scrum Lake is difficult to describe. Part problem solving clinic, part support group - in a really good way. I’m a repeat participant and shall return.

Awesome Scrum session

John and Ryan have really come up with a great concept here... The session was really thought provoking and it was great to hear how others in our world think, operate and share lessons learned. Each session will be very different to the last and I am definitely planning on attending the next session too

Improve your Scrum and make friends!

I attended a Scrum Lake session as a marketer working in an Agile growth team. I was really impressed with how John and Scott created such a sense of community among participants who had never met before. People openly share their challenges, and other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches come together to help debug your issue and find a route forward. I left the meetup feeling like I'd made new friends and learned a lot from other peoples' experiences. Ultimately, those learnings also feed into my own practice. As someone who is relatively new to Scrum (practising for just 1.5 yrs) it was helpful to also hear the questions more experienced coaches asked to diagnose and debug issues. If you've got some thorny problems you want to inspect or want to deepen your knowledge of Scrum with others, I highly recommend it.
