So for whatever reason any set of wire strippers I buy start to fail and then brake after only a few months , so when I was looking to buy a new set I saw sealey had a lifetime warranty and so I thought I’d give them ago, well 10 months later they did indeed break the metal was fairly brittle and just snapped, but a quick email and sealey are sending a replacement, no questions, issues, problems , this is how a company should act , the fact they broke is less than ideal but given they always seem to fail, the fact that sealey has an excellent warranty policy and also it seems a respectful attitude towards its customers has gained them my custom for life if they stay true to this

i have to admit for the first 8 months did everything they said it would, stretched quite a bit too , its outside in all weathers , but now its torn and has also completely lost its weatherproofing ,its torn where the straps are attached , the cover has never been tightened down , it was more effective slightly loose , it has done a great job , but its a tiny bit over twelve months and its going to need replaced .

This is the second Sealey IR20 I have bought and they are a first class product. The Sealey tech team are great if you have any problems.

This is just a heads up to anyone thinking of buying the Sealey 32 piece metric tap and die set. I sent mine back to Ebay for a full refund and bought a Halfords 27 piece set instead, that was better quality and £15 cheaper! This is a shame as previously I've been pleased with Sealey tools. I even received a flyer through the post after my purchase with the Sealey sales department email address on it thanking me for my purchase, so I contacted them to tell them I was far from happy and asked them why the quality of Sealey tools had got worse. They are obviously not that bothered as I didn't even receive a reply.

Sealey tools are, in my opinion, some of the best you can get. Excellent quality and performance for very reasonable prices.

Bought a sealey drill and impact driver 20 volt. For some reason the battery chargers don't last long enough. I think it might be a design fault ??. Other than that the batteries and the drivers are all working fine.

I have been buying Sealey tools for my workshop for many years and have always felt comfortable using them.
I have noticed however that over the last couple of years the finish on their chrome plating has become very poor and cheap. They, like most other brands, are probably having tools made in China but even Chinese tools can be of good quality if specified by the purchaser. Seems to me that Sealeys Quality control needs re training in what to look out for during quality checks, indeed some of the chrome plating peels off like tin foil but is as sharp as a razor which ends up in cuts which need cleaning , which is time wasted on the job!!!

Great kit at a good price. The tools are real quality.
