Aimee was really helpful and responded to any queries I had really quickly. She promised that she would keep an eye out for updates on my cabin location, which she did and emailed me first thing the next day with my cabin location, tickets and luggage labels. Thank you so much for your help Aimee.

I recently had a health issue resulting in needing to cancel my cruise at incredibly short notice. Liz in the Seascanner Support Team was so helpful in getting me options and working with the cruise line to lay out exactly what I could do. I booked a cruise on May 13 for 1394 pounds and my payment didnt go through thrice. I chatted with the representative on chat who tried for the payment to go through but it didnt.
I got one charges on my Visa for 1584 pounds and another 2 charges on my Master card for 1394 pounds. I got 2 confirmations of booking on 13 may.
on 14 May I got an email from Seascanner that the booking not confirmed . Why I am charged 1584 pounds on my Visa and another 1394 pounds on my Master card.
even if i get a refund I will lose on exchange, who will bear that loss.
Speaking to live agents, and email correspondence is not helpful .
Very unprofessional and irresponsible people on this site.
I booked the cruise on 13 may. I was trying to charge it on my Visa but it didnt go through. I spoke to the chatrepresentative who corrected my address and told me to try to pay which didnt go through. Then she sent me a link to pay but that to didnt work. I used my Master card to pay and that too didnt work.
Later I got 2 emails confirming the payments and confirmation of cruise.
On Visa I was charged GBP 1584 when the cruise was for GBP1394.On my master card I was charged GBP 1394
Later on May 14 I got an email that the cruise is not confirmed.
I got the refund but I lost $175.29 on my first booking on Visa and $12 on my second booking on Master card.
I failed to understand why there is a charge on my Credit card when the cruise is not booked. We pay at hotels and at gas pumps and they hold the payment and charge when the service is provided and release the hold when we leave the hotel and there is no charge on the hold.
Why the cruise send me email confirmation when the cruise is not booked.
After I got the cancelation email I check on P&O website and the same cruise was still available o at a higher price.
Why a customer has to suffer for exchange diffrence when there is no booking. I am losing $187 and has to deal with my credit card company earlier for these charges which were later on refunded by a lessor amount.
Hence my concern is why the cruise charge my credit card at the first place when the cruise is not confiemd and why diffrent amount was charged GBP 1584 instead of GBP 1374.
Till today May 27, there is no response from Seascanner.
I got my cruise booked through southampton cruises last week on P&O cruise ship IONA which was a clean smooth booking and got confirmation too.
Very disappointing experience booking with sea scanner and no courtesy call or any response till date.
