Made-up damage claims.
I have utilised numerous recycling companies previously without encountering any issues. A primary motivation for individuals to engage with such services is the convenience of a swift transaction, despite the typically lower valuations offered. I accepted a quoted price and subsequently dispatched my device. Following a four-business-day waiting period for receipt confirmation, I received an email asserting the presence of scratches on the front screen of my Samsung Flip Z 6, a claim I dispute as my device was in pristine condition, as evidenced by photographic records. Despite this, I reluctantly accepted the revised offer, prioritising expediency over further negotiation or the protracted process of device return. I will not be engaging with this company for future transactions.

Firstly, according to our delivery records, your parcel was delivered by DPD on 3 December at 6:00 pm, which was at the end of our business day. As a result, the device was logged into our system and processed the following morning on 4 December, in line with our standard operating procedures. A confirmation email was sent as soon as the device entered our processing system that morning.
Following inspection, a revised offer was emailed to you at 5:09 pm on 4 December, outlining the findings. This revised offer was accepted at 5:10 pm, within one minute of being sent. At no point did we receive any email, query, or indication from you suggesting dissatisfaction with the revised offer or requesting further clarification. As such, we proceeded on the understanding that the revised price was accepted without dispute.
Regarding the concern about waiting time, we would like to clarify that there was no delay beyond standard processing times. As the parcel was delivered after office hours on 3 December, it was handled promptly on the next working day and completed on the same day.
With respect to the condition of the device, our assessments are carried out by trained technicians and are based solely on the physical and functional condition observed at the time of inspection. Revised offers are never issued arbitrarily, as doing so does not benefit us and only impacts the customer experience negatively. We fully understand that expectations can differ, and we recognise that this can be frustrating.
We regret that this experience has led to disappointment, and while we respect your decision on our services, we appreciate you having engaged with us and providing your feedback. Your comments have been noted and will help us continue to improve our communication and service standards.
