100% RUBBISH
100% RUBBISH. Today, I suddenly can't log in to my account due to an IP Access problem. I haven't changed my settings before. contacting support to verify ownership, and giving all the detailed information they asked for. But still no response to the email. I will definitely move to another provider. JUST DON'T USE SENDGRID.
They do not allow registration of new users
I will just say that they do not even allow registration and after multiple emails with customer support they do not want to provide any additional info why new companies can not be registrated. Losing customers and creating frustrations. Do not recommend this platform to anyone.
They keep charging suspended account
Total Scam. I was on a paid account that they've suspended without any notice. They keep billing me every month, but the account is still suspended. I can't open a ticket or contact the support because to do so, you need to login into the account. No support, I can't cancel the payments through the bank because it is not a direct debit.
My account has problem about IP access…
My account has problem about IP access and i sent 5 emails and i DM 7-8 for all Twilio and sendgrid account's and still they didnt solve my problem its been 3 days !! it couldnt be that hard to solve this problem, even though i share my credentials that wanted from support they didnt response and solve it. Support team got me 0/5 !!! If they read this message accidentally they can reach me with They can see my request on ticket ID : 21499234
We are running a medical business and…
We are running a medical business and most of the emails are not delivered to the doctors. Whenever we use Gmail however to email the same recipient from the same sender, everything works fine. The customer service is awful. You cannot get hold of anyone at SendGrid. They make it extremely difficult to get hold of support or to even submit a ticket. If you need a reliable email provider for programmatical use, stay away from both SendGrid and Twilio.
Daily sendgrid source phishing spam
My email address receives a daily barrage of obvious phishing spam from many random so-called businesses or generic non-business addresses, e.g. hotmail or gmail, claiming to be some form of billing, subscription or service confirmation that show "via sendgrid.net" in faint letters next to the spoofed or generic sender address.
SendGrid enabled fraud on my account, then refused to refund the charges
My SendGrid account was compromised and used to send over 60,000 spam emails. I did not authorize this activity, and I followed all security best practices: 2FA was enabled, API keys were revoked immediately, IP restrictions were put in place, and I submitted everything they requested — including multiple Root Cause Analyses (RCA).
Despite this, SendGrid:
Did not alert me during the abuse, only after charging my card for $624.33
Allowed mass API abuse to continue even after I deleted all API keys
Repeatedly ignored my RCA submissions, instead copy-pasting the same request from different support agents
Ultimately refused to issue a refund or reinstate the account, blaming me for "not identifying the root cause" — despite finding no credential leaks on my end
This is a pattern of behavior designed to stall, deny responsibility, and shift blame onto the customer — even when the platform itself failed to prevent or detect massive unauthorized usage.
I've since filed a formal credit card dispute and submitted complaints to the BBB and FTC. If you’re a developer or small business relying on SendGrid, be warned: if anything goes wrong, you’re on your own — and they’ll bill you for fraud they didn’t stop.
Avoid Twilio SendGrid at all costs – total waste of time and data trap
Avoid Twilio SendGrid at all costs – total waste of time and data trap
This company is a complete joke. I signed up, verified my phone number, and within minutes my account was blocked with no explanation. You can’t even log in to delete your account — they just lock you out.
It turns out I’m not alone: tons of reviews report the same experience. SendGrid pretends to onboard users, only to block them while harvesting emails and phone numbers. The whole process feels shady and automated — no customer support, no transparency, just a canned rejection email.
Here’s the message I got right after creating my account (without even sending a single email):
“After a thorough review, we regret to inform you that we are unable to proceed with activating your account… Ensuring the security and integrity of our platform is our top priority… we are not able to provide the specifics…”
Translation: we don’t want your business but we’ll keep your data.
If you’re looking for a serious email platform, try AWS SES or Mailchimp — anything but this data-siphoning mess.
Their IPs are almost all blocked by…
Their IPs are almost all blocked by Spamhaus, so you actually can't deliver emails to any Outlook providers. Absurdly embarrassing.
SENDGRID's Masterclass
SENDGRID's Masterclass:
A Rhyming Tragedy
Oh, SENDGRID, your brilliance shines so bright, A feature so “cutting-edge,” it gives us fright. Control those IPs, be security’s knight,
Until logging in becomes a futile fight.
Locked out of accounts, my team in despair. We called for your help, but you weren’t there.
“File a ticket,” you said, “and please hold tight,
” For seven long days, we stayed up all night.
Midnight came, and what did you do?
A call to reveal advice so new:
“Log in,” you proclaimed with absolute glee,
“To fix your account!” oh, irony!
Emails were sent with details galore. But your responses confused us even more.
Abstract poetry from support we’ve received,
It’s hard to believe, yet I’m not deceived.
Twelve grand lost, two clients walked away,
All thanks to SENDGRID’s glorious delay. And when asked for answers, what did you say? “We were busy, but sorry, have a nice day.”
Here’s my warning to all—heed what I say: Run from SENDGRID, don’t you delay. Their service is chaos, regret’s what you’ll get, A company too big to care or fret.
On the seventh day, a phone call appeared,
But no solution—just what we feared.
They scheduled again for the following day,
And the elusive call, though late, made way.
Three minutes it took, the fix was so small,
Why such a struggle to solve it at all?
JUST DON'T
JUST DON'T. They sell plans that overlap services, so to get out of one, you have to unravel them all. If you're confused by their plans, that's your problem. SendGrid customer service is non-existent. No phone. No email. Not an accident.
Automatically suspended as new user
Signed up as a new customer for sending emails on a potential project. Automatically suspended and wouldn't provide any reason why.
Support tickets were the same responses like "We apologize for frustration" or "We have a vetting approach" with slight variations and no clarification on why I was auto-suspended as a new user.
Avoid.
Total nonsense.
I attempted to create an account, only to have my application denied and subsequently be banned from accessing their pages entirely—without any explanation whatsoever. Their reasoning? “Security reasons.” Despite repeated attempts to reach out to their support team, I received no clarification. This experience left me feeling like some sort of online criminal, even though I’m just a small business owner caught in an unfortunate situation. My webshop relies on SendGrid, and when our digital download emails stopped working, we were abruptly told to create our own accounts.
Yes, my checkout platform shares some blame for this sudden mess, but I expected more support and guidance on how to proceed. A little help or even a suggestion on next steps would have gone a long way. Instead, I was got this:
"After a thorough review, we regret to inform you that we are unable to proceed with activating your account at this time.
Ensuring the security and integrity of our platform is our top priority, and our vetting process is designed to detect potential risks. While we understand the importance of transparency, we are not able to provide the specifics of our vetting process.
We want to emphasize that our decision is based on stringent security measures and our commitment to the safety of all our users."
and
"At Twilio SendGrid great care is taken when it comes to new sign-ups to ensure ongoing compliance with our Acceptable Use Policy and our Email Policy. This process is carried out to make sure that everyone is using the platform in accordance with existing policies and regulations. For security reasons, we cannot provide any additional details regarding this decision. At this point we are placing this case on Solved"
When nothing is solved! And how thorough could have it been when it was decided within a second of me registering? Complete nonsense.
Don't bother
Don't bother - you try and sign up and they take all your personal info then decide for reasons unknown that you are not good enough to use or try their service - immediately had the account cancelled with no explanation. They clearly don't want any new business.
Account was terminated within 5 minutes of signing up
My account was terminated within 5 minutes of signing up with a pretty generic email response.
‘our vetting process is designed to detect potential risks’
I had only gone through the account t sign up, email verification and phone validation. I never even got a chance to setup a domain or send email!
I should have read the reviews here before signing up, I guess they only want big companies as customers.
This company is going to put me out of…
This company is going to put me out of business. They shut down my account and give no specific reason. Then it's next to impossible to get any kind of support. I've got 50 ecommerce websites that are not sending out email right now. I'm done. Moving to a different service asap!
Is this legal?
I struggle to understand how their activity can be legal. Their service is a scam, after subscribing, the account is placed "under review" for an indefinite period, during which it is not possible to use the service or cancel the subscription. Furthermore, once a valid payment method is entered, it is not possible to remove it, so you are forced to contact your credit card issuer to block payments. Technical support responds promptly and is very kind, but they always reply that account unlocking is the responsibility of another office. My advice to anyone reading this review is to avoid SendGrid.
Horrible company
Horrible company, do not use. Please use any provider that is not called sendgrid
yeah, this is bad
yeah, this is pretty bad. can't even log in. ever since they were acquired by twilio i think this went downhill.
