SettleProbate is an online tool that helps people in England and Wales handle probate themselves, without paying a solicitor thousands of pounds to do it for them. When someone dies, the person sorting out their estate (the executor) usually has to apply for a grant of probate before they can deal with bank accounts, sell property or pass anything on to the family. It is a slow process with a lot of small steps, and most people are doing it for the first time while they are also grieving. That is who we built this for.
