I paid £1,375 up front in September and they let me down on the delivery date of 28th October 2019 and have now not returned any of my emails or answer phone messages since. I am now chasing my refund through my credit card company :(
Update (Dec 2018): Have now managed to get a full refund through my credit card company.
Believe the bad reviews and AVOID THIS COMPANY
Oh dear, I wish I had seen these reviews before I also fell foul to these cowboy builders. There can be no other words to describe them and their shocking customer service and appalling workmanship. I consider myself to be an intelligent and sensible person yet I was still taken in by the owner. His useless assistant, who’s only job is apparently to answer the phone but who can’t even do that well, had the sales patter enough for me to think that this was a legitimate company. I seem to be one of the lucky ones who does actually have a building to show for the £3.5k that I paid - although the fact that it is completely unusable because it wasn’t insulated properly, it leaked at the first sign of rain and the doors and windows don’t seal properly makes that somewhat of a moot point. So my dream studio is still just that, a dream, whilst I pay professional builders and plasterers to come in and redo the dreadful work that this company felt was acceptable to leave me with. And, of course, there is zero response from them now so I imagine it is something I will just have to accept but maybe I can stop anyone else from falling victim with this honest review. Like other reviewers on here I will be reporting Severn Garden Buildings Ltd but, unfortunately, nothing will stop them from just trading under another name (which it looks like they already are) so I am in no doubt that they will continue to con people and will continue to have no conscience about doing so.
Not a good experience!!
Well what can I say!! We paid for our summerhouse/shed combi on October 14th. £ 2200
Delivery was booked in for Friday 15th November just gone. We took a day off work to wait for it to arrive which meant a day's no pay when your self employed!!
After emailing and ringing all day with no response we weren't surprised when it didn't arrive. However, we were expecting someone to contact us, apologise and re-arrange. That hasn't happened.
Furthermore, when I try ringing the number will not connect. Yet when using someone else's phone there doesnt appear to be an issue although there is still no answer. I'm guessing my number is now blocked.
We wouldn't class ourselves as unreasonable people and so if someone had told us there was issue we would have been more than prepared to re-arrange. At least not bothered wasting an un paid day!!
Id like to think our shed will arrive but even if it does I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Good communication is not alot to ask for and lack of communication altogether is just not acceptable!!

Where do you begin with something so bad as this company?
One of the reasons I think we all chose them is that they had good reviews in the beginning and the sales patter to go with it thanks to their salesman who was always polite to me. That bit I can say. Money changed hands and I should have seen the writing on the wall at that point but I don’t think I would have been able to change the course of events much.
I now have a garden building that I have had to spend a fortune on and will never be right, the roof will need replacing again seeing as it has nails sticking out of it, is not straight and cobbled together like an old boot. It finally has stopped leaking like a colander after three tubes of sealant and two tins of proofer, why would anyone sell buildings that are not weather proofed and not fit for purpose? When they are bought flat packed and not treated with the Tanalising that waterproofs but just rot proofs. Budget tat that is sold as high end yet we were made to feel like fools when we questioned it.
The company never turned up when they said they would, never returned calls, days and weeks went by and eventually they just stopped bothering. They went on to their next victim and rehashed their next excuse.
This company do not care they simply blame their customers for writing bad reviews and never good ones, they have changed their name on companies House, set themselves up on EBay merrily selling away the same tat with the same claims.
Do not pay cash which I hear they now demand, this is so you cannot go to your bank to apply for Chargeback which is what I and others are doing, report to the Consumer Standards which was Trading Standards they know about them! Cowboys and conmen that really do not care and believe me they do sleep at night.
Update: I see from the top of the page that they have now ‘unclaimed’ this page whereas before it said ‘claimed’
Shocking Service...........
So we placed an order on 6th July 2019 and was told a lead in time of 8 weeks for delivery and installation and that the next available delivery / installation date is 28th August 2019, which we accepted. Booked day off from work and nothing happened. Received email later that day saying truck was broken into so they couldn’t make the appointment, with promise to call back ASAP. We called several times without success and finally got a reinstall date for 15th September. Luckily they turned up to but said our base was not level and therefore could not install and guarantee but delivered parts. We were advised £350 will cover works required to level base and install with guarantee, which we accepted. Another date was provided for 19/10 after several unsuccessful attempts to contact them. No phone calls or emails received on the day. After several attempts getting in touch we were told installers were in hospital. We understood and requested another date. After several calls and emails, a new date if Tuesday 05/11 was given. Today is 07/11 and we’re still waiting. 5 months, paid in full. Living with contents of old shed in house and still waiting. Not a satisfied customer.

Bought 16x10 summer house erected on 29/ 08/ 19.First rain three weeks later leaked like a sieve. phoned and emailed still waiting for reply. I have put two people off buying from this incompetent firm and i hope other people will go elsewhere
Continued troubles
Further to my Oct 5th review I question the business longevity and future of Severn Garnden Buildings as our recorded letter has been return, unopened and naturally unanswered. That's in line with SGB's continued approach to ignoring our complaints and totally distancing themselves from providing any help, assistance or offering any rectification for the trouble and costs they've caused. It's clear not all cowboys live in Arizona - what a farcical company!

Very happy with summer house. Well made and installed. Did mention to rick (owner and nice man) that communication needs to be greatly improved!

The fitters arrived early in the afternoon and fit my shed very quickly yet carefully as the panels were cut down to my requirements to come through my house.
Couldn't be happier with the finish of the shed!

I couldn’t recommend this company enough, I recently purchased a summer house for my garden and I am over the moon with it. The guys who came to install it were very professional and the quality of the summer house is outstanding.

When is anybody going to take responsibility within this company.
I recently had an 18x10 unit build by this company. The finish was awful the unit leaks and is unusable. The company sent an assessor who gave no conclusion to the customer. They just give excuses over and over. Isn't it time your boss stepped up and dealt with my issues personally?
I leave messages to a mobile and landline until I become frustrated and angry.
Weeks go by while I'm left with a unit which in their own words can be used all year round. That clearly can't be.
My opinion avoid don't use them trying another company
To the company if you don't agree
PROVE ME WRONG?
1.. Waterproof the unit
2.. Fix warped back door telling me it's how it came is no acceptable.
3... Receipt for the money paid to fitter
Well that's 1 out of 5 ticked off the list................................................
4..... Warranty and guarantee of work.
5..... I have not signed the job off so this is an open case against you.
People save yourself the headache.
Unless the company has other ideas a forfill their commitment to the CUSTOMER?

Ordered and paid in full for a shed which was due to be delivered on the 7th October. Up until the order had been processed the service was ok... if they didn’t answer they’d always call back after I left a message or an email.
In recent weeks we’ve had no communication at all! We’ve left messages and emails and have had no response! Oh we’ve also been awaiting a £250 refund for the last four weeks as I changed the shed size!
Last week I received a call after emailing them that I was worried due to not being able to find there Facebook page anymore. I was reassured that my shed would be here and fitted on Monday 7th October.
Monday 7th October arrives... 9am and we receive an email saying that they have had there van broken into and we’ll receive a call or an update soon! End of the day and still no call! I’ve tried calling them more than 10 times. I’ve left two messages and sent an email to no response!
Unfortunately I feel like I’ve been scammed for £3,750...
If your company read this please at least call with an explanation.

A 60th birthday present.
Shed fitted about a 3 weeks ago.
Leaked first rainfall on my equipment. Sent pictures of sagging pent roof, pooling and leak. And stuck doors. Still jammed.
They offered to put more timber across a 12ft span and fit the next day. Fitter said it was the first this size. 12x20.
Did not turn up. Still have the email.
Phoned and emailed multiple times. Not one reply.
Fitters came a day late after taking time off. We had to ring them to find out the delay!
No courtesy calls.
Arrived and then found floor panels were not big enough for the shed. No matter, cobbled 3x2 on the van, not plank was used to extend. Panels had 1cm gaps between. They will come together later Luke said. They did not.
Sagging roof has now been reinforced with £60 of timber and spacers. Also fitted quickly to avoid an increasingly porous wood, was guttering where many spacers were used to align the guttering because of the skewed roof. Plus, irritatingly was the felt.
Loglap panels do not line up. Some spacers and care would have resolved this.
An attempt to correct double doors after having been offered a planer was to unscrew the top of the door frame and hit it with a hammer? Free for day but no stuck again.
I paid extra for toughened glass. Some panes just reach the top wood which means it is will be prone to leak.
all it needed was spacers at the bottom to lift the glass before fixing.
Ironically communication was good when they knew I was interested. Non-existent afterwards as well as the after care.
" I am not leaving without cash." Good job I had some since I was not forewarned. No written guarantee was given.
Good job too I had some tools to lend them. "Van broken into." Is this my fault?
I am still waiting for the owner to reply and even better to phone and it would be nice to be recompensed at least for the extra wood and refitting. But I fear not.
It was supposed to be my 60th birthday present?
My advice to the fitters is use a tape, plumb line, pencil and spirit level. ( If they had them they weren't used correctly)
Above all take some care and pride. The extra will be rewarded.
To the owner: take responsibility. I will await your phone call.

Avoid Severngarden buildings at all costs
The accusations made by Severngardens are not truthful
1- my husband never swore down the phone
2- my husband would never threaten anyone
3 - we never informed Severngardens that we would be purchasing our own glass and sending them the invoice all blatant lies
4- it appears that when anyone writes a bad review regarding their service and products they answer by saying the customer had swore down the phone
There is no customer support with this company- they are the kind of company documentaries are made about
Why would they say the base was inadequate - when we are making a complaint against No glass- beeding or screws for the windows and doors on the building
Please avoid this company so your not in the same situation as myself and my husband and my advice to anyone considering purchasing a product from Severngardens is DO NOT PAY UP FRONT
We could have simply deducted the cost of the missing pieces from the bill if we had not paid the full cost up front -
I will keep you all posted regarding our legal battle for the cost of missing items
