Absolutely avoid this company

Absolutely avoid this company! They are the type of crooked tradesmen documentaries are made about.
They turned up hours late, trampled all over my neighbours garden and trashed the fence.
Their workmanship was substandard - they put shed up squint, the roof bent in the middle, there were saw marks down the sides making inch wide gaps where they had just thrown it together, the windows have huge holes below which will catch the rain and the glass is not correctly fitted, the doors and windows are not tantalised which they said they would be, they tried to leave without putting door handles on, the floor is full of cm wide gaps (they say this is due to the wood drying but will allow mice to come in) and the eaves have a 3 inch gaps all around (again letting vermin in).
I complained about the quality at the time and they said if I didn't pay, their builders wouldn't leave. I live alone and they stood behind me like a bunch of heavies making me feel threatened until I paid.
They said they would return 2 days later to sort the floor for me but no one turned up and no one answered my calls, texts and emails.
Dealing with their sales guy was a good experience at the start but their following service was appalling and I am now having to pay a carpenter £300 to sort it all out what was a £1950 shed.
It has been a terrible experience and has taken up so much time. Avoid, Avoid!

Anya,
This account of what happened is extremely exaggerated in places, and outright false in others
Our terms and conditions clearly state that clear access is required for all installations, to which you told us there were 2 fence panels temporarily removed, and a small jack chain fence (80cm was the measurement you specified) to navigate around. This was not the case at all, but our installers managed (at great personal risk to injury) to get the panels into position to install, admittedly to damage to a small fence panel that was already extremely damaged
The installers arrived 2 hours later than originally stated due to an error in communication between the office and the fitters, and when you called to find out where they were, you extremely rude over the phone. Admittedly you had people on site to help with the carrying of the panels, but it was again stated that 7.30 was an estimated time of arrival, and all manner of issues could have arisen that morning
When the fitters did arrive, you were again extremely rude, and proceeded to tell them the guy on the phone was a ‘useless cu***’. Once the installers had fitted the building, you outright refused to pay your remaining balance. Our fitters did not stand behind you like a bunch of heavies demanding you to pay, you instead spoke to the boss, to which he agreed as a goodwill gesture to deduct £200 from the final balance. This was purely because you had arranged your own private and unrequired labour.
Our terms and conditions clearly state also that the eaves are left open unless otherwise requested, which you did not request or even mention during any part of negotiations.
You did not pay £1950 for the shed, you paid £350 for a perfectly assembled timber frame base, the remainder was for the building. Our office staff made arrangements to take calls from you later than opening hours specifically throughout the whole time dealing with your product to try and provide you with the product you wanted, and in turn on the day of install you were rude to our fitters, said abusive things about a member of our office staff and refused to pay the money you owed upon completion. Once the final payment fee has been dropped by £200 to satisfy you enough to pay the remaining balance, then have the audacity to demand we reattend 2 days later to block your eaves at a cost to the business.

There is nothing wrong with the finish. As stated on all listings and t's and c's the timber is rough sawn. You signed a customer satisfaction form stating you were happy with all aspects of the build, to then leave a 3 star review on a public forum. If you were unhappy during or after install the the fitters should have been notified.

20x10 summer house

I had a 20x10 summer house fitted by the boys at Severn Garden Buildings, they were very approachable and worked effectively to get it up quickly. The turn around from putting in an enquiry to fitting was fast, taking only 6 weeks. I would definitely recommend and will use them in the future if needed.
