My very first match on Shaadi.com turned out to be a scammer who stole my personal and financial information using a fake identity. When I reported this to Shaadi.com’s customer service, no meaningful action was taken.
This platform is being exploited by scammers for phishing and identity theft. There seem to be more fraudulent profiles than genuine users, and the company is failing to protect its members or verify identities before allowing sign-ups.
Shaadi.com continues to advertise itself as a “safe and verified” platform, but that claim is misleading and dangerous. Until they implement strict government ID verification and better security protocols, U.S. users should avoid this site. It poses a serious risk, as most scammers operate from outside the country and are beyond the reach of U.S. authorities.

I was in Shaadi.com for one month as a free user then upgraded to Premium member. This site is not manned by IT team, if we update our photo or profile it takes 48 hours to see the update. Moreover I was getting phone calls from customer service almost every evening asking to upgrade to VIP . Users: lot are scammers & less real people, old profiles keeps remaining & no new profile traffic. Some people who respond clearly sound un-real probably working for Shaadi.com !
Not a good experience so I left despite having a premier membership.

I'm very disappointed with the service provided by Shaadi.com. We were assigned to Alvira, who has been completely unprofessional throughout the entire process. Over the last 6 months, there has been zero follow-up, no calls, and absolutely no coordination from her side. Despite repeated expectations, she failed to provide even a single suitable match for my daughter. We opted for the VIP membership hoping for a premium experience, but it turned out to be a complete waste of time, money, and effort. Our coordinator, Alvira, was highly unprofessional — no follow-up, no communication for over 6 months.This experience has been a complete waste of time, and I would not recommend their services to anyone looking for genuine, committed matchmaking support.

I purchased a VIP service on Shadi.com with my money. Don't waste time on this app; instead, take your time and send a random bio description in a week. They don't have any professional biographical information. Do not do it.

The senior manager and I had a conversation, but they only requested membership. You are not helped by them. at all, no refund, and they don't give a damn once your membership expires. Don't waste your time or money, then.

I subscribed to the VIP Shaadi.com service expecting premium support and personalized matchmaking, but the experience has been extremely disappointing.

No Follow-Up by Relationship Manager: After the initial call, there has been no follow-up for over 20 days. Even when I missed a call due to being on another line, they never bothered to call back.

No Profiles Matching My Preferences: Despite clearly setting my preferences, none of the profiles shared were relevant or matched my criteria. It feels like there’s no real effort from the RM team.

Lack of Communication & Accountability: For a service that charges a premium, the communication is completely unprofessional and careless. There is no sense of urgency or responsibility from the consultants.

Overall, this VIP service is a waste of time and money. I regret choosing it and would strongly caution others before paying for any so-called “premium” Shaadi.com subscriptions.

It was indeed a worst experience. There was no proper communication with the consultants.they are not understanding our requirements. Wasted 50000rs.
Without even talking to the girl or parents,the consultant says they have declined the proposal.The consultant does not have a convincing skills to explain every detail of the portfolio to the girl or her parents. Over and above all the girls on this shadi.com are less than average. We saw better portfolios on Bharat Matrimonial and other websites.

They will convince you with big promises while taking your money, but once you’ve paid, their customer support becomes unresponsive and unhelpful. The service quality is far below expectations.

Apperently Shaadi.com is not for everyone certainly not for people outside India. They do not deliver what they promiss. Fraud and a scam.

Hi I have sign up for their free subscription and have received some request but in order to respond to them I have to subscribe and after some time their agents kept on calling me for the paid subscription and then I have signed up with their premium package for my brother for 3 months and with in 1 week I got the request for acceptance which I did in order to respond to the match but after reply to that match I haven’t got any respond and this has happened with three different matches ,first they enquire and when I reply to them they just disappears which seems fishy to me and with in 20 days I replied to 3 matches but no respond even not interested response so if they were genuine matches they should not enquire me at first point if they don’t like my brother’s profile so finally I understood their trick they send fake request we accept them in order to respond and they fulfil the criteria of accepting 1 request with 1 month of subscription so they don’t have to refund the money.
So don’t purchase their subscription they are useless .
When I initiated the chat with their agent in order to ask them for a refund because those acceptance were useless to me as they have not responded me and their agent have already asked me to block them then they said you have acceptance with in 1 month so you are not eligible for refund and this is how they play this mind game just to earn money from us.
If you have a genuine refund policy and your website is worthless for a customer then do what you promise what the hell we are going to do with the acceptance if the contacts are completely fake.

I posted profile of my daughter. Bought a paid service- they withheld lot of information. Finally they tricked and sweet talked me into buying VIP Shaadi package which is pricey. Lot of people spoke to me. I was put onto a consultant who would take ages to understand my preferences. then they locked me out of normal log in - id. I had to waste two weeks and shout at them to help me log in. It seems they had altered the login. I could not do without assistance from the appointed consultant. consultant would work 10 to 7. Two days off in a week. I could not access direct mail or phone number of the profiles I liked - without the appointed consultant. Is this not Blackmailing - wasting your time, money - because every day is one meter. When I wanted to do a search myself - I could not . When I wanted to contact my profiles directly - I could not - What did I pay a huge premium for - Sheer Blackmailing - Luring into a tunnel with a closed end. • My assigned consultant is inactive and unresponsive – even goes on leave without informing!
• I sent profiles I was interested in, but my consultant never contacted them.
• They promised 15 extra days of membership and a ₹30,000 Ayani diamond coupon, but I never received either.
• The sales executives who sold me this plan (Priyanka & Toral) stopped answering my calls after I paid.

This is pure false promises and unprofessional behavior. They happily take your money but vanish when it comes to delivering the service.

I am demanding a full refund – if not resolved, I will escalate legally and report them to consumer forums.

Today, they harassed me with a call, trying to push me from a so-called "VIP" plan to a "VIP Consultant" scam package. The person was so irritating.

And those so-called 5-star reviews you see? 100% fake, I believe.

Stay far, far away. This is nothing but a money-sucking fraud. Don’t get trapped.
