Took £108 and quoted further £432 just for diagnostics
Took £108 just to give me a few fault codes and possible causes for why Engine Management Light is on. Quoted for another 4 hours of further investigations at the rate of £108 per hour, so in total £540 just for diagnostics. Expert technicians would have found the exact fault very quickly. Shockingly the car was serviced by them just a couple of months ago. Lost trust in this garage.
Customer service is bad too. Didn't call me to update about the situation. I had to call before closing to know the status.

As discussed when your vehicle was with us we carried out the initial assessment on the vehicle and found the following trouble codes stored:
P0301 cylinder 1 misfire detected
P0302 cylinder 2 misfire detected
P0303 cylinder 3 misfire detected
P0304 cylinder 4 misfire detected
This specific engine variant is fitted with 8 spark plugs (2 per cylinder), the additional investigation time we discussed with you was for removing and inspecting all spark plugs, carrying out checks on all the ignitions coils using Pico Scope and a relative compression test to ensure the compression's in each cylinder were within specification. The service carried out in October 2023 was an Interim Service as per your request which does not include spark plugs, there was no running concerns reported at the time.

Brilliant. Picked up on some things that another garage completely missed and managed to get it done cheaper! Angela at the front desk is lovely and helpful! Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

New tires and service
New tires fitted when I was in a rush. Great service helping me out when I was stuck. Used these guys 4 or 5 times never had any issues. Lovely staff also.

DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE!!!
They took apart my engine to find the fault, originally quoted me £4,500 for a new engine then later quoted me £9,000 to replace the engine because they wouldn't rebuild it, despite saying on their website that they do rebuilds. My car isn't even worth £9,000.
The engine was in pieces in my boot, they lost one of the injectors & its holder & none of the parts were categorised. When I spoke to the garage about it, they claimed everything was put back somewhere in my car (the boot or elsewhere, but they couldn't say where exactly) & I challenged this, querying how they could possibly know what was & wasn't in my car given that absolutely nothing was categorised.
They wanted over £500 to put the engine back together after they'd stripped it apart, probably because they hadn't bothered to categorise anything & because they'd lost parts, so they knew what a nightmare it would be. They had no intention of ever putting the engine back together - the job was obviously way too much for them & they can obviously only be trusted to do easy jobs which probably accounts for all the 5 star reviews.
Thanks for wasting my time & money & for making things so much harder for me.
I chose this garage based on its reputation - I wish I'd seen a real review like this before trusting them.

Your vehicle was presented to us with a running concern on 15th Feb 2023. We had authorisation from yourself to proceed with investigations.
Please see details below:
Carry out assessment into poor running: P0300 misfire detection. Relative compression test proves cylinder 1 has
mechanical issues causing loss of compression, requires stripping down and cylinder head removal to confirm extent of issues.
We then called you and explained the above. You agreed to an additional 4 hours to strip the vehicle down.
Please see below:
Strip down vehicle as required to carry out further checks into compression issue: Cylinder leak test, cylinder gushing air into crankcase. Head removed, cylinder has been washed and scored. Requires replacement engine.
We then provided you with a full, clear and itemised estimate for a replacement engine. Our pricing was clear and unambiguous.
You decided not to proceed with the repair and wanted to take the vehicle away. We explained that as the vehicle had been stripped, it was immobile. You did not want us to reassemble and arranged for the vehicle to be collected. We agreed to put all the parts in the boot for your inspection upon collection. The vehicle was collected on the 21st March 2023.
