Navigation issues

The assessments and career materials are insightful, but I struggled a little with navigating between sections. Once I got used to it, it was very useful.

Not as I expected. They only give some information about job hunting. Resume and cover letter writing is cost extra.

My experience has been been excellent…

My experience has been been excellent with timely feedbacks and replies. I loved that my career coach Ally was there to guide me and support me when I was losing motivation. She has been a great help and I really appreciate it. With my CV curation to job search strategy, she did an excellent job. I am happy to have come across shift.

I signed up based on their money-back…

I signed up based on their money-back guarantee, which gave me confidence in their service. However, when I asked for a refund, they refused to honor that promise. A guarantee should mean something. In my experience, this was misleading, unprofessional, and deeply disappointing.

I had a great experience speaking with Olivia. She was shared a lot of information about what is needed in creating a CV and LinkedIn page for todays hiring situations. I found it extremely helpful and definitely worth my money.

Just what I needed...

I found access to the various personality and career profiling assessments helpful to get clarity of my own strengths but also where they might fit better, in a changing job market.

My 1:1 session and following email exchanges, with Ally my coach, was really helpful to bounce ideas, get feedback and receive expert advice on what I should start and stop doing.

If you commit to using all the features and services and put in the time to focus on this, I believe everyone will get great value for money and ultimately results.

I am deeply disappointed with this…

I am deeply disappointed with this service due to misleading pricing and underwhelming content.

I was led to believe the subscription was $0.42/day. However, after paying, I received a receipt indicating a second upcoming payment that more than doubles the advertised price. Furthermore, the 'Basic' material is extremely elementary; anyone with a small experience will find it redundant. To access anything remotely useful, you are forced to pay hundreds of dollars more. I have already requested a full refund.

Great Customer Service

I am increasing my rating as Shift responded to my review immediately and refunded the subscription amount. The customer service was impeccable.

The adverts are misleading and suggest the app contains job opportunities which is does not. I didn’t receive one email or notification from Shift when I signed up, and they have just taken another $39.99 from my account. I have now cancelled my subscription but am upset there was no reminder or correspondence at all to remind me the payment would be taken or any initial confirmation of an account. This just seems like a money grabbing exercise, targeting people who are out of work. Also it sees impossible to contact them to try and resolve this. No contact email or forms anywhere. I used the bot on the app but that is just for career advice.

They charged me and I immediately contacted them for a refund because I still had a day to renew, I never used the service, emailed them to bring a resolution, no reply from them.

Its a fraud money making scheme.

Ally is a ***FABULOUS*** coach!

After getting this service

After receiving this service, I canceled it the same day. It is more focused on helping you figure out which job you want, rather than getting you to that job. The "instructor" I was chatting with never sent a single message; the bot handed me off to them, and I was left on read three to five times over the course of 40 minutes. I won't be using this service at all.
Edit. After the initial review, the coach did respond. Turns out even though the chat is there 24/7 and the messages will show "read", a coach isn't there except for Monday through Wednesday during hours. The refund policy was okay, but I would like to see a dedicated section on the site to initiate this process, rather than having to email support and wait for a response. This would also reduce their workload. So far, I've seen improvement, and I will update as I go.

Great experience with Ally

I only had one session with Ally, but she was great and is so supportive throughout what is a really challenging process in applying and interviewing for jobs. I give her 5 stars as a coach, but I didn't really spend too much time on the Shift platform. Some of the tools were helpful, and Ally also provided me with helpful resources. I highly recommend Ally as a coach to anyone looking for guidance in their career path.

Exceptional Career/Resume Service

This is the first time I have utilized the services of a career/resume service. However; I am pleased that I did. Ally worked with me. She is very skilled and knowledgeable. Having an employment gap, Ally brought many useful tips to my arsenal. Most that I had not even considered. She also assisted me with updating my LinkedIn profile, which had me stumped for weeks as to how to update it. She has exceptional customer service skills and answered emails quickly. Not reliable

It was confusing. When i was choosing plan it states i will get coach support resume support but instead after getting it way change i explain i need help in getting a job not which career to choose and all also when i click on chat button to chat with an expert no one responding and seems like a scam.

Worthless product with a semi-predatory…

Worthless product with a semi-predatory UX - generic advice, no actual job listings, no obvious way to cancel in the app, and their customer service is barely there. When they didn’t respond for several days, I had to block my credit card so that they wouldn’t charge me.
