Excellent meal as usual. Excellent service and friendly staff.
Food is always good here but the service is appalling...the waiter seemed so annoyed when I asked for a extra spoon.
Family on next table started screaming all of a sudden to my horror I saw a mouse running around the table...me and my daughter stopped eating and went to pay the bill...I told the guy at till(who was trying to catch the mouse)we're leaving as we couldn't eat that food anymore he sarcastically asked Why?
I was shocked but paid my bill in full and left.
Never again.....
So disappointed when I went last night. Being a former Glaswegian living in London I decided I wanted a curry. After frequenting Gibson street for so many years. The food was not good - to salty and the pricing was through the roof. Bottle of water £6 😱
I can safely say I will never be going back and advise others to think before they book. 2 mains - 2 Poppadoms - tonic water - and a side dish £64!!!!! WT@

Horrible service, Staff were impatient to take an order and were making faces to each other, absolutely unprofessional. Food was average nothing close to the hype.
Expensive for the hospitality and taste they offer. We won't recommend and return to this restaurant.
Have been twice in the last few weeks as the food and service is amazing, took my mum for lunch a few weeks ago and she really enjoyed it so we went back for my sisters partner’s birthday. The staff are very friendly and accommodating even gave us a free drink each on the house, will definitely be going back on a regular basis!!
Bought a few items as a takeaway last month & paid £85. The food was awful, smelly and tasted appalling - I do not understand how this place is existing. I have no problem paying for decent food and have had much better not only in Scotland. Never again.
This is the worst food I have eaten in my life
Carry out today.
Chicken pakora look warm 2 minutes after I left the restaurant.
Cost for carry out very high for fairly plain food.
Going downhill as it was once very good.

Walk in around 5/6pm table for two. Park road Glasgow resturant.
Heard lots of good reviews so thought I wasnt going to be disappointed. Staff friendly and attentive. Menu was given open , made choices and told the waitress but when closed menu was a sticker saying add increase of over 10% can not remember exact figure, this was due to increase in wholesale good prices etc . Starter was generous but the main was quite a small portion . Asked for 2 boiled rice but advised 1 bowl would be enough , hardly one portion . The boiled rice wasnt fluffy it was quite stodgy and sticky. The currys were ok nothing really I couldn't make myself . Thought expensive for what we got . Two starters , 2 mains , rice and naan and one drink each was over £60 . Expensive . Did over hear another member of public query the cost of the takeaway. The usual order had increased significantly. Would I go back probably not.
Superb in all respects. Great service food and atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Overpriced, late and food is disappointing. Credit where credit is due, but why has this restaurant been around for decades. A madras that has hints of bbq sauce isn’t a madras! Pakora I as average and £40 for 2curries, Nan, pakora, pardon? Yes for good ones but these were disappointing. Really surprised and frankly disgusted by this ‘service’!
Went to this restaurant 346/8 Kirkstal Rd Leeds, for the first time recently. The food was so tasty and simply delicious. The service was excellent in that the staff took the time to explain various dishes with recommendations all done with a courteous pleasant manner. I would thoroughly recommend the Sheesh Mahal for an overall perfect experience of dining.

I have been going to the Shish Mahal almost 40 years. Do I really need to say anything more?
THE best restaurant, superb quality, fantastic flavours, excellent staff. If you haven't been there, get there as soon as we are allowed back in restaurants.
And there's always take away, same great food but you don't get to soak up the wonderful atmosphere.
