Great Job Angel Emmanuel

Honestly, I'm not a 'review person' and truly, in the past few years, customer service has NOT been at its best...But, neither has the world, anyways.. I would say one of the biggest things I learned, and have taught in Customer Service, is to have empathy. No, that doesn't mean take on the next persons issues, but just.. remember just like YOU have a life, outside of work and your profession, so does the next person. Angel Emmanuel was extremely exceptional and had the attitude as if he wanted to be there, provided with the energy to know this through only chat. I can only imagine a phone call would have been just as pleasant and beneficial.

So Angel, since you took the time out of your day and made something that was big for me, seem like not an issue for you, I will take the time out my day to say thank you again! Service workers are not just doctors and teachers, but its the people who literally help us, customers/consumers, and even you, get through our day to day lives and assist in situations where we have no other hope, help or answers.

Always know the difference you make can be the smallest and believe that the kindness you give out will come back to you, in the most unexpected ways. Keep your head up in these trying days and stay grateful for the little things. Great job Angel and whomever trained him know that sometimes people just have "it."

TXU has not really been my FAVORITE company but I CAN say that this is the second person I have came in contact with, last minute, with questions and was met with positivity and the urgency to help with empathy.

Predatory billing practices and false…

Predatory billing practices and false advertising.

I enrolled in TXU’s Average Monthly Billing program, which is advertised as a way to “save money” and provide predictable payments. Instead, my bill doubled and TXU hit me with a $1,072 deferred balance on top of my $300+ monthly bills. When I asked how to lower costs, a representative actually told me to set my thermostat to match the outdoor temperature — meaning 100°F inside my Texas home during summer.

To make matters worse, TXU is demanding over $1,000 to exit the program, trapping me in a cycle of increasing charges. Their “save money guaranteed” marketing is flat-out false, and their practices are predatory and unethical.

I have filed a complaint with the Texas Public Utility Commission and strongly urge others to think twice before trusting TXU’s claims.

Decades of Good Service

I have been with TXU literally for decades. I like that when I call with a concern, I can talk with a real person who is knowledgeable and professional (such as Kathya G. today). They always resolve my issue, whether it's regarding billing or a service issue. They've even provided me with resources to help with my bill during hard times.

I can't imagine using any other electric service provider, because they provide so much more than just electric power.
