Disappointing for such a premium brand…

We purchased the Silver Cross Cove for our son and, whilst we love the pushchair itself, we’ve been left extremely disappointed by the aftersales support.

Our little boy is only 6 weeks old and the carrycot fabric has already become damaged. We didn’t notice the issue immediately, however it appears to have become progressively more noticeable over time and now stands out quite significantly on what is otherwise a nearly new pram.

The most frustrating part has been trying to find a solution. We contacted Silver Cross hoping to purchase a replacement carrycot or replacement fabric, only to be advised that neither is available separately and that the only option would be to purchase an entirely new bundle. Given the original purchase price of around £1,500, this was incredibly disappointing to hear.

To be clear, we were not asking for a free replacement. We were more than willing to pay for a replacement carrycot, replacement fabric, or any spare parts that would allow us to restore the pram to its original condition. Unfortunately, the customer service team were particularly unhelpful in exploring any alternative solutions and seemed unwilling to offer any practical assistance beyond suggesting the purchase of a complete new system.

As owners of a baby boutique, our pram is often visible to customers and other parents, which makes the issue even more noticeable. It’s a shame because the pushchair itself is beautiful and performs exactly as expected. However, for a premium brand at this price point, we expected both the product and the aftersales support to better reflect the reputation Silver Cross has built over the years.

A fantastic pushchair unfortunately let down by a lack of replacement parts and a disappointing customer service experience.

Breeze set - very happy

Very happy with the Silver Cross ‘Breeze’ travel set. As first time parents, this set will be perfect for us and our little one when baby arrives.
We are yet to use it, but cannot wait and very happy with the design, style, materials used and colour. Everything we need to get us started.
The set up is easy for all three seats, from car seat, to pram to toddler seat.
Arrival time was super fast and came within two days of ordering.
Would definitely recommend.

I love this brand

I love this brand, I have a few of their products. Everything has a 3 year warranty and not too bad putting it together. The high chair I purchased can be a table and chair after which was important to me for when his weaning is over.

Such a disappointment

Such a disappointment! I always planned to get a silver cross pram but was so disappointed by not only the product but also the customer service.

The pram broke in several areas and was just bulky and awkward to use and not the quality of other brands.

The car seat straps get jammed. They are so stiff and actually hurt your hands to tighten.

The pram stopped folding and the brakes broke making it unsafe.

Overall, pretty much every element of the silver cross products that we bought were a complete disappointment.

I was not given an email receipt as we purchased the items directly from the shop floor in store from John Lewis, Newcastle. We received a small discount but this unfortunately meant that when the paper receipt was lost, we had no proof of purchase available. As a result, when we later sought assistance regarding the numerous issues we experienced, very little support was offered and we were repeatedly passed back and forth between John Lewis and Silver Cross, with neither party seeming willing to take ownership of resolving the situation.

I am so tired of sending emails, calling silver cross, sending videos of the faults I’m experiencing. So much time lost for zero resolution.

Perfect!

Quick delivery and perfect size travel cot. We managed to use our bedside cot mattress in the newborn insert as same size which made our baby girl feel right at home, she slept like a dream! Cot is sturdy and well made, easy to put up and take down, lightweight to carry.

New Parent.

No requirement to contact customer service, but I love this brand. Their strollers are well assembled, the colour choices are great and the range of accessories is second to none.

Easy to put together, with options to change from bassinet, to seat and even car seat compatibility, including 3rd party car seats.

I bought both the Cove & Nia options for home and travelling overseas. Both are great and work really well.

I’m absolutely in love with my compact…

I’m absolutely in love with my compact stroller. Fits perfectly in my boot, the strap makes carrying it and the baby so easy. It’s easy to manoeuvre but still very sturdy. Overall extremely impressed. So much I’m posting it on my online platforms to explain why I love it so much.

Great

I have used silver cross car seats for both of my children and always thought the quality was great. I especially like that the fabric is breathable (my baby had a different brand infant car seat and used to get very sweaty and hate the car - swapping to Silver Cross made all the difference).

I had a problem arise when the product was out of warranty and emailed customer services for advise who were brilliant, checked my issue with their safety team who were able to advise me on how to fix the problem, saving me having to replace the car seat. The online chat feature was easy to use and customer services responded via email very promptly. Would definitely recommend them as a brand.

Disappointing, not worth the money

The quality of the Dune 2 has been extremely disappointing for a ‘premium, brand.
The frame feels ridiculously flimsy and folding it down is far harder than it should be. There have been times I’ve had to put it into the car still upright because collapsing it is such a struggle. I’m not the only one either — other parents with different pushchair models have commented on how awkward and impractical it is to use.
It also struggles with even the tiniest kerbs. When I contacted Silver Cross about this, their advice was essentially to lift the front wheels up… which is obvious and not exactly helpful from a premium brand.

When my baby is in the pushchair, the chassis also doesn’t move up and down properly, so she’s stuck in one position constantly. It only moves position when she’s not in it which defeats the object really.

The footmuff already looks scruffy, and the holes where the straps pull through look as though they’ve been hacked open with a penknife rather than properly finished. The hood is also wonky, something multiple people have noticed, and it barely shields my baby’s eyes from the sun.
Customer service was equally disappointing. I felt as though they treated me like I was exaggerating or making things up. They took the pushchair away for inspection and then simply sent the exact same one back with no explanation, no email, and no real attempt to resolve the issues.

To top it off, I previously left a negative review on the Silver Cross website and it has been removed, which doesn’t inspire confidence in the authenticity of their reviews.
If I’d known the quality would be this poor, I never would have spent the money on it. I genuinely wish I’d gone with iCandy instead.

Ordered a travel system the dune the…

Ordered a travel system the dune the pushchair is so difficult to fold down cannot adjust the back rest when baby is in it and its absolutely awful to push cant even handle a crack in the pavement. Sent in photos and videos of everything mentioned they sent packaging to send it back they had it for 6 days no replacement so couldn't go anywhere with the baby .heard absolutely nothing no updates it arrived back this morning exactly as we sent it no explanation or anything. Oh and they deleted our honest review off their website

Amazing

I love silver cross i had a little issue with my changing bag for my pram and it was sorted and dealt with straight away. I ended up swapping to another bag an paying the difference an even that was so helpful they sent me the payment links an it was done would definitely recommend, ive used silver cross before for my boys an loved them from travel systems to buggys you cant go wrong
