Great features

At first, the sheer number of options and settings can be overwhelming. It requires a lot of patience, research, and trial and error. However, once you get an overview, SimplyBook is surprisingly simple despite its many features. It gives you a lot of freedom to customize the system to your needs. I can definitely recommend it.

My starting experience with simply book it!

Hi im just staring out with simplybook it! and if you find a template that suits you that is great.

However - it would be optimal if one could simplify the landing page for customers even more - and be more easily in charge.

But if you are not as picky as me, it works, and I will use it in my starting face.

It works ok enough and has good payment options!
I prefer Mollie - as it should be cheaper and better than big boy Stripe.

They also answer customer service in good enough time - even on sundays!

So I've appreciated it, and its super easy to use. even though there is a bit of learning - but you will get there!!

Great for a Sole Trader…

Starting up a business as a sole trader is hard. Having found simplybook had a free option I decided to give it a try and have not regretted it. The functionality of the free version has been perfect for me while I build my client base to the point where I have e enough clients to justify the costs for extra features. Most of the competitors I found only offered month long trials which I not long enough to fully evaluate booking tools in my view. The free plan from simply book is perfect to do this. I have also found the customer support to be excellent. When I could not log into my account on a Saturday morning I emailed support and got a reply within minutes. And the problem they pointed me to... my ISP and not simplybook. Switched to my mobile data and back up and running in under an hour. I will definitely be sticking with simplybook.

I really wanted to love SimplyBook

I really wanted to love SimplyBook. It seemed to have a lot to offer, and there are a lot of custom features that I couldn't find anywhere else, and which fit my needs. So I used Premium for a month. I ended up having a lot of problems like: slow-loading widget, not receiving notifications when someone scheduled (or tried to), not having the client address sent automatically, clients had issues using it and it would keep timing out - I also wanted to be able to approve appointments and collect advance payment / deposit. Can't have both. I tried for a month to smooth out the kinks. The pros - attractive UI that allows for a lot of customization, a number of options for payment providers, options for membership - I'm sad it didn't work out. I would have given 2 stars, but customer service was good.

Do NOT use the free version!

If you use the free version, you have to renew it each month and they give you a very short window to do so. They send an email to remind you, but you can't renew it on the day of the email. That's too early. You have to do it at the end of the month. Then, if you leave it a little bit too late your account will be blocked and then removed completely. I was moving house at the time. I contacted them today (7th of Feb) one week into the new month, and my account has been blocked and removed. I've lost all the data I need for invoicing. Ridiculous. If you don't want people to use the free version, don't offer one!

So apparently what happened is a memcache ran out of space and therefore your last activity was not stored in our database. Our developer will restore your account so that you will be able to access it and if you would like to use a premium version, please contact rut@simplybook.me for that and we will happily grant you a free access. Also for the renewal of free accounts, we have prolonged that now from 3 days to 7 days, to make sure people can enact on it, after the emails are sent out.

Hands down the best booking system for me

I looked at sooooo many different systems and SimplyBook was hands down the best one for me.

It's very intuitive and therefore super easy to use. They don't overcomplicate things unnecessarily. You can have as much or as little functionality as you need (for a price of course).

It's easy to set up services, as well as packages and membership/subscriptions, which many other systems seem to fail at.

I like the 'client-facing' front end that you can create via Simplybook - it's simple, clean and easy to use, as well as very customisable.

There is a lot of additional functionality in there via custom features. My one gripe is that some 'custom features' e.g. calendar synch I consider to be very core functionality for a booking system and not really a custom feature. That said, the basic subscription does include 3 custom features. I found that realistically I will need approximately 10-12 custom features.

Additionally, I've found customer service to be very responsive. Extra kudos to Newt for helping me out with a very effective and creative solution to my problem. Thanks Newt!

I would give it 5 stars, but I'm deducting one star for the pricing structure. My volume of bookings and everything else would keep me in the 'standard' package, but just due to custom features I need 'premium', which costs more than twice the amount. I need only a few more custom features, so I think there is something they could do here. They have other 'additional items' so perhaps they could have packages of additional custom features. As the jump from 8 to 'unlimited' is huge and I imagine unnecessary for many of us. Maybe 5 extra features, for an extra £5 per month?

Great booking page with small issues

A great booking page with little problems. First of all there's nearly no scenario you can't create with this tool. At some points it's very complicated and not really intuitive. The prices are way too high, there are several other companys doing nearly the same at lower prices.

I had tried a few different booking…

I had tried a few different booking sites and this one was by far the best of them. It is user friendly with helpful videos which is great for someone like me who is not that tech savvy. It is easy for my clients to use also. The features they offer are plentiful and all of useful value. I feel the price is fair compared to competitors. I just did a year subscription with them. they offer a 2 week trial to feel them out and I was instantly convinced this was the one to use for my business.

Terrible booking system for many…

Terrible booking system for many reasons
1. Tracking is not working as it should
2. You are not able to style emails to your clients, if you have multiple services and providers
3. You have non refundable payments, regardless of what they offer and cannot solve
4. It is very expensive compared to others a lot better working suppliers of booking systems.
5. Loading of widget is too slow
6. And I could continue

Will for sure not recommend anyone to use SimplyBook.me

For all tracking we recommend using 3rd party solutions such as Google analytics as that´s what they do best. For the emails then you can style the outgoing emails, but you are right that you can not have different designs based on different service. For the refunds then we are pretty generous and above average market standards given the other solutions we compare ourselves to and the pricing is also very fair given the feature rich system we have and even a lot cheaper than some of our competitors with similar systems, we have prices from Free to Premium so that we can grow with the customers.

We are sad to see you leave and we would be happy to have a chat with you if there is anything we can help you with or convince you to stay.

Great software for a barbershop

Great software for a barbershop, easy scheduling, customer management, and marketing. Free and Basic plan are great for simple services. However, if you have a regular business you would need a higher plan and the cost suddenly multiplies if you need more than 8 of their many great features. There should be another plan for small businesses that want to use these great features. Also, the customer service should be available on weekends as well.

Great for multiperson class appointments

My wife and I run a small business offering fitness classes.
Wanting to expand and move on from text and Wattsapp bookings we decided to link a booking system to our website.
Not being computer literate, we had to ask our web designer to install it and link it up to our site and calendars but once this was completed, I created the appointemnts myself.
Compared to other companies offering multiple, simultaneous client appointments, SimplyBook.me was so much more straighforward and easy to use.
Best part is the amout of short instructional videos available describing how various aspects work.
Time will tell but we're optimistic and so far impressed.

Simple set up with great online help
