Simple and cost effective "peace of mind" insurance, avoiding expensive claim excess cover offered by car hire companies. Excellent email support and advice, both before and after car hire.

Simply Excess were transparent with what was covered and sent helpful information and reminders for me when picking up and dropping off the car. Didn’t have to claim so don’t know what the claims process is like, but it looked straightforward!

Very professional staff very good product

This is the first time that I have taken out separate insurance for a car hire (on top of the one that comes with the rental). The process of filling in the online form was straightforward and the price was very reasonable. I haven't had to make a claim so I can't comment on this but the information before, during and after I took out the policy was good. I would use them again.

We didn't need to make a claim so I can't comment on that aspect of their service. However, the premium was very reasonable and there was excellent communication, both around the purchase and around the car hire itself, so I would definitely use them again.

Straightforward and does what it says on the tin. We had to buy two separate insurances (couple both doing some of the driving) so it would be good to have an option where two people could be insured on one vehicle.

Easy to arrange a policy to cover excess which is better value than the rental companies own offering.

I have been an Eversure/iCarhireinsurance.com customer historically and was able to compare all the policies across those companies before deciding on Simply.

The "amounts insured sections" over Simplys' policy are much greater than the competitions and the cost of their policy significantly cheaper !

I was nervous about car Hire Simply Excess gave peace of mind & confidence to drive in an unfamiliar car. thankfully I didn't need to make a claim.The communication was excellent from booking until the vehicle was handed over. The price quoted was very competitive. Will use Again & Would recommend the company to friends and family.

Needed excess cover for a hire car in Greece. Found Simply Excess via Moneymaxim. Good price that gave a policy that covered everything without any excess payments. Thankfully did not have to claim but for £10 to cover an excess of £400 it was well worth the piece of mind.

I took out the policy with Simply Excess after receiving a recommendation to use a comparison site for these excess policies from Martin Lewis and MoneySavingExpert.com. The whole process was really simple, and fortunately I didn't need the policy as (surprisingly for 1000 km of Italian driving) the car was returned unscathed. However, the communications and information you receive from Simply Excess are really useful. I'd certainly use them again any time I'm looking to hire a car.

Great price for insurance add on , much cheaper than car hire company. Straight forward wording and there to help with any issues.10/10
